Hi Annette & Geoff,

Today I did a mix of Cathe's Afterburn - the warm-up and about 6 single segments. I added on 35 minutes of Caroline G's Iron Series - chest and triceps. Now, to stretch.

Annette, that's good news about your doctor's feedback. How did you end up with problems with your kidney? does this health issue run in your family? My family has a history of heart disease, mom, brother - so far not me. phew.

So glad to be back. Thanks for keeping it all going Annette!

Hi Siobhan,

Pretty sure I told you but maybe I didn't, but back in 2020 during lockdown I was hospitalized for an overdose of vitamin D causing hypercalcemia which in turn overtaxed my kidneys making it look like I was in kidney failure. My kidneys haven't bounced back completely but the doctor and I are thinking that I may have been in stage 2 kidney disease long before this happened. (Undiagnosed) So this has just pushed me further in the wrong direction as far as my kidneys are concerned. Hopefully I will stay where I am and never progress any further. No kidney issues in my family that I know of. Mom died of liver/ bile duct issues(primary sclerosing cholangitis) and my dad from pulmonary fibrosis. Neither drank nor smoked.

Now you know my history.

Check in later with my workout.

Ok, I had 2 ladies for my 20-20-20 Split Series Shoulders and Legs. It was an hour. I didn't do anything else. This weekend is going to be stressful. On Sunday my sil is having the East Coast memorial for my bil that passed away last June. So that day will be stressful and long.

So I am good, may lay in the sun.

Nice workout for you!

If you don’t mind me asking how much vitamin D were you taking? I’ve been taking 5000 IU for a while and out of nowhere had a kidney stone in mid July. CT showed my kidneys were normal and my kidney function is normal but I’m now afraid I was taking too much vitamin D.

Ashaw,

I honestly don't even know how much I was taking. Sorry, my kidneys still haven't fully recovered and may never.
