Gooooood Morning ladies,

It will be 30C overhere. It's hot already, so I ran very early this morning when it was only a very nice 13C. Did a lovely almost 7K run. Added CTX UB and one of the CTX ab w/o's that's on that dvd.

Now I've been thinking about my bowel problems, and the only thing that changed in the past 4 or 5 weeks was that I started taking my hayfever medication late April. So I'm thinking maybe that's why. Have to check with my doctor, but they are on strike so I won't speak to him till next week (btw they do treat emergencies). I have been taking this medication for the past five years and never had any problems though.

And you know what.... I thought I was the worlds slowest runner cause last sunday I ran for 2:23 hours and only covered 18.5K. Now I've been wondering about my times lately so I measured the distance with Map24. Turnes out I ran more then 20.6K last Sunday which totally makes sense with my running time. Man, I almost ran a 1/2 mary!!!:) This means I really have to recalibrate my Polar HRM.

So what do you think. Should I try for another 20K this Sunday? Or should I follow my original training plan which calls for 18K??

Hope you enjoy just as beautiful a day as I am,

Dutchie:)

Good morning everyone,

Dutchie: Sorry to hear that you are still being plagued by bowel problems. Can the doctor see you now as an emergency? You can develop problems to meds at any time even if you have been taking them for years but I wouldn't assume this is what it is. Does it only happen when you are running? As far as Sunday goes, if you feel up to it go for the 20K but if you're not up to snuff especially considering the bowel problem, I would stick to the 18K. I know, not much help there.
By the way, great news about the running times!

Last evening:
LowMax and Gym Style Triceps

Have a good day everyone

Hi Cathy,

Yes it only occurs when I run and according to my training log, only when I run later in the day (around noon) and when running longer distances (my medium run 9-10K and my long run).

Doctor's assistant doesn't consider my problem an emergency. I just shouldn't run and wait till next week.

Thanks for trying to help.

Good Morning All!

I'm dragging this morning, probably from all the sugar I ate yesterday. It was not a good day and the container of Starbucks Java Chip ice cream was in my hands before I knew it...man, that stuff is SO good! I topped off the ice cream with some Krispy Kreme miniature cruellers....YOWZERS!

Anyway, today for me will be CTX: 10-10-10 cardio with S&H shoulders and some ab work.

TGIF!!!! Hello to all that follow, enjoy your workouts!

Tammy

Good morning everyone! IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Dutchie - that's awesome about your running distance, not so awesome about your bowel problems. I can relate, but I don't think mine are as bad as yours. I've never had to stop in the bushes, just had to stop running and walk the rest of the way home. I'd be wary of adding extra distance this Sunday, just in case. Maybe the warmer weather is affecting you? Good luck!

Cathy - I love Lowmax. I don't have the Gym Styles yet. They're on my (ever-expanding) list though!

Tammy - I hope the donuts and ice cream leave you alone today;)

Last night I did Bootcamp. My stomach still isn't feeling right and I almost threw up after doing the Terminator squat thrust evil thingies, but I persevered and made it all the way through. Tonight I plan to do ME.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Dutchie-
I am sorry to hear about the continued bowel issue. Have you tried reading the forums at any of the running web sites? Maybe you can find someone who came up with a solution. I remember my neice having this problem from time to time. She raced all through college on a running scholarship. I don't remember how she dealt with it other than visiting the bushes. On a more positive side you are doing well with yor times!

I decided NOT to run the June 2 race. I don't feel like I am well trained enough yet, even though I did complete the race on May 11. I am continuing to run 3 days per week. And trying to learn to pace myself and increase my endurance.

Tammy good luck with the sugar hangover. I find extra water after a bad eating day is helpful. It makes me think I am flushing out the bad stuff. Who knows to what degree that is true?! But at least it gives me a good attitude. And it helps skin cells at the very least!

Today's workout: ME and stretching
Tomorrow: YOGA
Sunday : REST

PS I signed up at the Catheroadtrip-July2005 Yahoo site. I am Likes2bfit2000

I've checked the running forums. There doesn't seem to be a cure :) People seemed to have tried different things like taking immodium (but it can have side effects), not drink coffee before you run (which I stopped doing as of today) and other than that it's just advice about taking tissues or baby wipes with you and run someplace where you can hide to do your business.

I'm really hoping it's related to my hayfever medication but I can't stop taking it until I've spoken to my doctor. Or till the end of June when the plants/trees that trigger my allergies stop blooming.

A very good morning to you too Shelly :) Yes for me it's bad. It suddenly starts cramping and then I barely have time to jump in the bushes and pull my shorts down. If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny :) :)

Got to tell you something though, I started gaining weigt on my ever so clean diet, so I was feeling very frustrated about that, enough to have three ice creams this week, popcorn and crisps. And guess what, I lost 2 pounds when I stepped on the scale this morning :) :) Wanna share a cookie?

Yesterday, during some rough play with my kids, one of them pulled my jeans right off of my hips. They thought that was so funny, mum in her underwear..... Like they'd never seen that before.

Dutchie:)

Good morning everybody and HAPPY FRIDAY and HAPPY THREE DAY WEEKEND!!!!! :) :) :)

... and guess what, I finally got to workout out yesterday when I came home. I did a 40min Interval run on my treadmill :) :D :7 and it felt so good!!!

I tried to get up early this morning to workout, but I couldn't get outta bed once again and normally never have any problems  . Hopefully after work I have some time to do some weight lifting.

I hope that everybody has a wonderful workout or rest day
Kristine :)

Good Friday Everybody!

I am dragging this morning for unknown reasons....so I pushed myself through a pathetic workout of MIC stepping portion only (just 33 minutes) and started to add some of Step Works to it and just quit a few minutes in.
I know I should do some abs at least, but just have ZERO motivation today.
I'd like to say reading that a lot of you are barrelling through workouts this morning being ill ,and dealing lack of sleep and bowel issues, pushed me into a more serious workout but I guess it's just not happening today.
Does that happen to anyone else and do you feel guilty when you don't push yourselves?? Should I just write it off to needing an easy day today, and/or do a killer workout tomorrow to make up for it?
One other question....I've wondered this for a while and never asked....if you do a total body workout one day or cardio & weights type workout, can you do an upper or lower body workout the next day?
Thanks in advance for the help. There are so many really knowledgable, helpful, fun people here.
Hope everyone has a great day today!
:)

Good Morning Fit Women,

Off to a late start here. Bus driver shows up way too early so had to run both children to school today. Followed a bunch of poke alongs along the way....got my adrenaline up so now I am ready to workout!

Yesterday was Chest and Back and Core Max 2.

Today is laundrymax, Legs and Shoulders, Running and LawnMax. Geez, I hope I can squeeze that all in today.

Tammy,

You are truely in the "Hall of Fame for Evil Eating". You must have enjoyed yourself tremendously...sounds deliciously evil! I am gonna run some of that off for you too, o.k?

Have a great workout everyone

Morning Everyone,

I would like to know why children will stand over your bed crying, and never attempt to wake you up. So when it finally penetrates your sleep filled brain that someone is crying, you wonder why your DH is crying. :D That is what happened to me at 3am this morning. Youngest DD walked on something in her bedroom and hurt her foot. So here she is crying right next to me. For how long I do not know. Guess she just didn't want to disturb me. :)

I will be doing Cardio & Weights tonight. I plan on getting up early tomorrow to exercise, because we are heading up to my brothers cabin for the weekend.

Becky, I am doing the Aug 04 rotation that Cathe created. She has ME, PS Legs, and Cardio & Weights all in a row. I have been doing the leg portion with lighter weights.

Have a great day!

Hello, Fit Women!

Today was BM w/u & step, BC Legs & Core. This evening I am planning on a run. My goal is to run 3x's a week. I only ran 1x this week, so I need to get 2 more in.

We are closing today! I am so excited! Let me tell you, my workout was great. I was really into it. I felt like I could have kept going, but I had to get my boys ready for school. I love days like that!:D

Enjoy this beautiful day!

Good morning...

Connie...I live in Northern Calif. But we always seem to leap right into hot weather here. Can get up to about 120 in the summer....YUK!!

We are lucky Jes...as we have had alot of rain, will try and send some your way...

Dutchie...as far as another 20K..I'd say just go by how you feel, I like to add more miles if I can...

I did get some new running shoes!!! Always makes me happy....so after my freestlye leg routine and some abs...I am off for a run...It'll be hot again today...98!!!

Have a good day ladies....:)...Carole

Laurie Mac - my DD is not quiet in the night if she wants me. She just lays in her bed and yells "MOMMY" at the top of her lungs, which, of course, causes me to leap immediately out of bed, asleep or otherwise, and run to her room, thinking that she's being attacked by monsters or something.:p

Hi good morning, today I will do TAEBO and the 1 first segment of CM.Tammy we have to much eating temptations and it is not easy to resist when you have a bad day. I am a little deppressing , I don't know why, and my eating habit are terrible. Have a great day everybody.

Good morning, ladies!

Dutchie - I hope you find a solution to your bowel problem soon - that is miserable.

I skipped my workout yesterday because I took the kids to Great America/Six Flags instead. The weather couldn't have been better so we slathered on the sunblock and took off! We had too much fun. :)

I have the day off today and the guys are here to install my door. I have about 1 1/2-2 hours to workout before I have to prep for the weekend "up north".

Oh, and after today, my oldest daughter is officially a junior. **SOB** I can feel more gray hairs making an appearance on my head.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Angie

Good morning.

Was taking a vacation day today, but had to come in to work anyways for awhile. I did manage Bodymax however, kicked my booty but good! My 7 year old son got up for school and did the upper body weight portion with me. He kept yelling " I feel the burn!" with his 3 lb weights!

Have a great weekend everyone!:7
