Good morning! This morning I did MegaStepBlast on the 8" step, followed by SH Biceps & abs. I had to dust off MSB because it's been so long since I've done it, I'd forgotten what it was actually like. On the 8" step I got a great workout; sweated, got my heartrate up, but not too high. The choreography in this one is super simple, and the beat is a bit slower. There are impact/power moves, but they are alternated frequently with low impact moves. I think this is the perfect workout for someone who has mastered Basic Step/ Body Fusion, and wants something longer and a *bit* more intense, but not advanced choreography. It's also perfect for someone who is pregnant

Next week I'll have to dust off Step Heat, because I can't remember what those combos are like, other than I think they are also very simple choreography, with a slower beat.
Pg update: feeling very fine. If it weren't for the fact that I become breathless quicker, my lower abdomen is bloated, and my lower back is tired, I would never think I was pregnant. Maybe I'll get as lucky as Wendymin72, and avoid major morning sickness and food aversions. A woman can dream.......
Laurie Mac - Hm. Wisconsin, hey? Someone around these forums lives in Saskatchewan, and I thought it might be you. I wonder who it is? Oh well. Please tell me, what is wonderful about living in Wisconsin? And the next time you do SH Legs, I expect you to report back that you had to crawl out of the room when you were done
Wendybdh - I'm not asking about the black eye. Really. I'm not. Ho hummmmmmmmm.......(what to talk about...what to talk about?)
Annette - lovely surprise!! Very thoughtful of your husband.
Carole - I think I'll be building my own weightlifting belt in a few more months. Or weeks, if how much my lower abdomen is bloating is anything to go by. That's some impressive weight you use for SH Legs - especially when you follow it up with 12 mile runs!! I always put it after my cardio, and do my best to work to exhaustion. If I had to do strenuous cardio afterwards, I know I would be more conservative in my efforts.
Jes - how's that head today? Did you keep your nose above water? You deserve a pat on the back for attempting a workout, but you also did the right thing by quitting. The idea is to improve your health, not kill yourself.
Conni - belated happy anniversary!
Susan - Agh!!! Before I had my first child, it never dawned on me what the impact of child germs would be for my own work and exercise schedule. I had to learn to roll with the punches, because there just wasn't anything else to do. When littles ones get sick, they really get sick. I'm sure she feels awful, and I hope she gets better soon. I also hope the 2 year old doesn't pick up the germs!! Enjoy IMAX! I will not be attempting that workout, so feel rest assured that *whatever* level of modification you have to do, you are still working harder than a pregnant woman!
Katie - Is today your birthday? If so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! (if not, please reread this on the appropriate day

Has the elephant gone back to the jungle?
Kathy!!! How is your ankle and tailbone this morning??? That was a nasty fall!! BTW, I'm very impressed at your ab marathon!
Sandy - so how do you feel today? That must have been some nasty bug to still be affecting you. Yes, I am now enthralled with the mimosa. All your fault. I think I am going to host a brunch for a couple of other friend-couples in February. Mimosas will be on the menu. I was wondering whether you'd received CTX yet. Have you ordered it yet? And did your 1 1/2 hour commute involve listening to the IS CD twice through?
Wendymin72 - LL AND Upper Body Split??? Oh my goodness!! That's quite a workout! And I'm not surprised you left out some of the upper body work! It's an extremely thorough series of exercises, isn't it? I got a body pillow when pregnant with daughter #1, and haven't given it up since. It's actually become a ratty pillow by now, and needs replacing. It makes sleeping so comfortable that I can't sleep without it anymore. I grew up in a Middlesex County, in Ontario, Canada. I wonder where the name came from? Was there a Lord Middlesex, or something like that?
Have a good day!
