Daily Check-in for Saturday, March 17, 2007

BelovedHeather

Cathlete
Good morning! Rise and shine! :7 This is my Cathe anniversary! :7 I have been a member here for a year today! :7 Thanks for sharing the journey with me and laughing with me and crying with me and giving me so much love and support. :*

I am feeling better this morning. I still have PMS, but I am not as emotional this morning. I went to bed early last night and woke up at 3:00 a.m. this morning.

Yesterday was an active recovery day. I enjoyed Stretch Max yesterday morning and bounced on my rebounder last night. I am planning to do Kick Max or one of the premixes this morning, which will wrap up 3 weeks of the Hardcore Series. I was planning to do another week of the Gym Styles. In light of my experience Thursday, it is time to move on to something else. I am declaring a fun week! :7 If I ever like the Gym Styles, it will be when I am close enough to my goal weight to see visible results. At this point in my journey, I just want to have fun and burn fat! :7

Shoe shopping is on the agenda for today. :7 Yes, shoe shopping. No, not workout shoes. I am not that crazy. :7 Tammy, I can hear you laughing at me again! :7 I need shoes for work. My feet have been killing me all week.

I am hoping that I can keep my eating under control this weekend. I have been eating whole wheat pasta like it is going out of style. Start cycle, start!

Tammy, I glad you think I am a gift. :7 LOL! I am so glad to have a friend who understands my humor and love for workout shoes! :7

Conni, thank you for your sweet words yesterday. You are a doll! :* Thank you all for the encouragement. I am so blessed to be a part of this check-in. :*

Blessings,
Heather B.

Good morning Heather and all that follow!

Heather - I'm glad you are feeling better today. The Gym Styles are certainly intense workouts with a more serious, down-to-business flavor which appeals to me when mixed in with my other workouts. I believe as you do them, they will grow on you.

Tammy - how's mom doing?

Today's workout is CTX KB cardio only. I think that is only a 30 to 35 minute workout! Push/pull was fun yesterday. The only thing that struck me about that workout is I felt the warmup was non-existent before we went into stretching. I add on a warmup from one of Cathe's other total body wt workouts when doing this one again.

Have a great Saturday.

Good Morning!

Happy Anniversary Heather!!:D Hooray that you are feeling a little better!

Hi Jane! I hope you can enjoy your weather today!

We are expecting SNOW!!! Hopefully not much,..... if it accumulates, I'm packing up and leaving town!!! I know I've threatened that before but even DH knows I'll do it this time!!!!;(

Connie, are you gettting snow??

Today is a 30 min. brisk walk (is there any other kind??;-) ) and stretchmax! I'll enjoy that even if I have to do it on the TM.
I NEED a good stretch workout, as I woke up a GAZILLION times in the night because my back was hurting.
I think it's a combination of PMS and we need a new mattress.

Tammy, how is your mom? How are YOU?

Hi to everyone else ! Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!!:7

Hey gals.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

It's a minimum of a TM run for me today. I have hopes of conquering Legs and Back and ARX as well but we'll see....

Have a great day!

Happy anniversary Heather! I'm glad you are feeling more like yourself today. I was planning on shoe shopping today also, but we have a couple of inches of snow. That's just enough to deter me from going on the roads. The consistency is odd also. It's packed down firmly with a slippery layer on top. Very easy to slip on, i"m afraid. Becky, I like your idea of getting out of town. Now, I really wish we had made plans for some kind of escape. (insert thoughts of the Carribean or Mexico)

Wendy, happy belated anniversary!

Rest day for me.

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

This morning will be GS Legs and CM#3.

My Mom has a LONG road ahead of her. She is still in ICU and will remain there for at least two more weeks. When she is moved out of ICU, she will be in a regular hospital room for another 4-6 weeks. She will need PT, OT and speech therapy. I'm holding up well. Continued thanks to all of you for the support.

BTW: We got slammed with about 18" of snow....BLECH!!!:(

Heather: Happy Anniversary and have fun shoe shopping!!!

Jane: Ahhh...I love all the CTX workouts...enjoy!

Tig: Enjoy your TM run.

Becky: LOL! Enjoy your walk. I hope the weather behaves for you! Are you going to take your husband with you when you leave;)

Conni: What's up for today?

Phyllis: Enjoy your rest day.

Good morning,

18 " of snow Tammy??? Yuk! Just cold here, and I am over it!!

Happy Anniversary Heather!!!!! Props to you today!!

Today's fun was Sharon Twombley's All Body Cardio, definitely as intense as Cathe's Bootcamp or HSC. Fast paced and furious! I can't wait for her new CIA coming out any time now!!!

Have a good day!

Hi everyone,
Soo sorry for joining the checkin and disappearing. Last weekend my brother past away in a drowning accident and my dh and i went down to South Carolina for the week. I did a 30 minute TM walk and SM #3 .

It is cold here today, but I can't complain when poor Tammy is dealing with that much snow !

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend!

Daily Check-in

This was a great day. My cycle still has not started, but I have been in a delightful state of mind all day. After my quiet time this morning, I did the Kick Max boot camp challenge premix followed by the first segment of Core Max.

I had a nice phone conversation with my father this afternoon. I am still hoping to meet him someday, and he is still promising to make that a reality.

I took a long nap then went shopping this afternoon. My feet were crying after walking around in the mall. Thankfully, I found a new pair of shoes that are cute and comfortable. They were on sale too, and I got the last pair in my size. After searching through every shoe display in the place, I was praying that God would provide for me. He did! I am so excited about my shoe find because cute, comfortable, and cheap is a hard combination to find. Now if my cycle would start.

I have been eating intuitively all day and delighting in the freedom. I enjoyed whole wheat angel hair pasta for breakfast and treated myself to a kiddie cup of golden vanilla frozen yogurt with caramel and almonds tonight. :9 Yummy! It was a tiny portion, but it satisfied my PMS cravings. I ate a small cup of Kozy Shack butterscotch pudding later tonight. :9 I am craving sweet dairy products this week.

The worship service was so powerful tonight. I cried a river of tears. Of course, it does not take much to move me to tears this week. My pastor’s message on perfectionism really spoke to me. Perfectionism is the enemy of living. I was convicted that I need to relax and start enjoying the journey again. It dawned on me that I was seeing better results in January when I was having fun with my favorite Cathe workouts and eating more intuitively. I have cleaned up my eating a little too much, and I need to bring this area of my life back into balance. I completed the 11th consecutive week of all-Cathe workouts, so I am not surprised that I am so tired. I have historically been able to stick with Cathe exclusively for 6-8 weeks without a break. I am planning to wrap up my 12-week rotation next week with my favorite fun Cathe workouts like Rhythmic Step, Supersets, and Step, Jump, & Pump. I just want to have fun for a week and enjoy less intense workouts. I am planning to do a TLT and FIRM week after that.

It has been a whole week since the time changed. Hopefully, my body has finally adjusted. I am looking forward to a restful Sunday. I am off to bounce on my rebounder and start winding down for the night.

Jane, are the cookies still in the gun safe? ;-)

Becky, are you serious? Snow in March?!

Tammy, I will keep praying for you every step of the way. :* Was that 18" of snow a typo?

Conni, I am glad you enjoyed your workout.

Phyllis, you bought more than I did. I am happy with one pair.

Lori, hugs and prayers to you. I am so sorry for your loss. :-(

Wendy, what a workout!

Blessings,
Heather B.
