Daily Check-in for May 4, 2005

I did Boot Camp last night and almost died. This morning I did #1-#5 Imax 2 premix. I want to work in some core work later on tonight.

"Wendy - I did SM #1 y-day, too. I was wondering about all those inverse stretches right at the start. Have you been told anything about doing/not doing inverted moves while pregnant?"

I was doing all of those moves for a while until someone here mentioned that you shouldn't...so I stopped! lol I don't know the reasoning behind it or anything but I figured better to be on the safe side. When she does those kinds of moves I just stretch on my own until she is done.

Oh Angie, how jealous I am of those who are doing core work right now.;( Abs are the one thing I just couldn't handle working on after the 1st trimester...I fear my belly will be a bowl of jello after Joey is born...x(

Morning everyone!

I have been doing Cathe's May rotation so today is Legs. Hopefully I can still walk later. Won't get my workout in until later though. My DH has been doing them with me.

Emily-my face gets red all the time too. So it is not just you. I always wondered if I was doing something wrong. It gets red when I am on the treadmill too.

Sandra - I think it's just High Step Training. I think it's geared more for a beginner/intermediate exerciser, but I'll try it, at least just to get the hang of using the high step. Bootcamp rocks, and I imagine the core premix would be TOUGH!
 
hey all! you ladies are so freakin productive in the morning!!! i am just getting up and having coffee. i was exhausted from getting up at 6:30 yesterday to hang out with MIL. I was in bed asleep by 10pm last night! Today, the plan was to mow and clean the house. The house part i am sure will get done, but i looks like rain, so the mowing is up for debate. Also, on my handy-dandy, homemade rotation, today is LM step only and Allstep. I haven't done ALLstep in forever!

Breakfast is first though! I haven't lost any weight in a week, so i need to clean it up!! Plateaus suck!

Wendy - I seriously doubt that your belly will be jello for very long, if AT ALL!!! You've been doing so awesome with your workouts that I bet it won't be long AT ALL until you are back into your pre-preg clothes!

Sandra - thanks for the reply. I have ME and PH, so I will probably substitute PH Biceps, Triceps, and Shoulders..........I had thought about doing HSTA Upper Body only, might tack that on too, I love trying to do those One Arm Tricep Dips!

Actually what scares me even more is my hips! I hear that some women's hips are just never the same and there is nothing that even an exercise freak can do about it! They widen to let the little bugger out and sometimes they just don't go back to the size they were originally...to have to throw out my pants for that!?!? How frustrating! I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen to me!:)

Wendy, it takes about 7 years for your body to return to it's pre-pregnancy state. Unless ofcourse you have another baby. And another...

Wendy, I think Dutchie means that your body if you let it go that long thinks that it has never been pregnant before if you wait 7 years between kids. It is like starting over as if it were your first pregnancy again.

I did a modified Slow and Heavy Legs and Shoulders today leaving out some sets especially with the lunges and I don't do the preexhaust ones either. I also did an 8 min. taebo for a little bit of cardio.:D

Has anyone in an effort to jump start a weight loss, just done cardio for any length of time? Leaving weights out for a set amount of time? I am comtemplating doing this and wondering if it would make any difference at all?!:)

My dh wants to start back up with Atkins and I will have to modify that diet some since before when we did it I lost too fast and my workouts suffered. Wondering if I just did cardio for the induction phase of the diet since my weight workouts really suffered during induction last time.:eek:

Good afternoon fitness divas!

I am late posting today, internet wasn't working this morning.

Today was IM#3 intervals 1-5 and GS Legs floorwork.

Shelley: I think I am the only Catheite who doesn't enjoy BootCamp and I can't pinpoint why!!! I am going to tackle it again next week. I really want to like this workout. The core premix rocks though!

Awesome workouts ladies, but I didn't expect anything less!

Hello all!!

Today is beautiful outside, it is 63 degrees and sunny!!!

Today was:
P90X Biceps & Back and AB Ripper X..biceps are blown..lol..I have major DOMS from Monday's workout!!!

MIC later today after hubby gets home.
