Daily check-in 28/07/2005

i posted late last night, but i finally got something done. i will try to do maybe a walk on the treadmill today. i am feeling a little better today. great workouts ladies. i'm quite jealous!!!

Carole: since you probably won't se it i will repeat what i said last night; thanks for the Duthcie update. i'm glad she is ok.

Sandra: i'm very curious as to how youre doing, so write me back one of these days;)

Mornin'!

Well, I had a 7:00am meeting this morning, which meant I had to cut my workout short to make it to work on time for the meeting (no way was I getting up earlier). I did the Upper Body Premix of Muscle Max. Surprisingly, a very thorough upper body workout in only 40 minutes. :)

This morning I did BodyMax w/u, leg circuits, and stretch. Short and sweet.

Wendy - awesome job with IMAX Ex!! It's not called "extreme" for nothing, is it? :)

Jane - Happy Birthday!! I saw your post about needing motivation to do BodyMax. I think the dread factor of that workout is how looooong it is. 90 minutes seems so daunting, when you know it's an intense workout from start to finish. Good for you for forcing yourself to get started.

Terri - you are insane!!!!

Jes - What'd I miss?? Why are you going to miss the step? Have you hurt yourself? Am I ever going to write you back? Possibly. :) I went to a work meeting on Monday and got dumped with an avalanche of work that has to be done within a week. At the same time I have to have a chapter of my thesis revised. So, that's consuming all of my time these days. One of these days I should start thinking about preparing for the baby's arrival. Maybe I should buy some diapers or something?

Carole - Seriously?? You'll actually think about coming to Edmonton one day?? :eek: That would be amazing! I would love to have you come for a visit! We have an annual marathon at the end of August. I'd love to cheer you on!

Morning ladies. Today was PUB followed by cardio from All Step. I had so much energy this morning that after I was done I just wanted to pull out something else to do. Unfortunately I had no more time.:-( Was a little surprised at the lack of DOMS today after doing LL yesterday. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

Yeah Sandra that was a bit insane of me! I however feel fine today:)

Today I am doing a workout off of hardcore extreme. I am thinking of the first one. I would also like to try the 82 minutes of legs and glutes. I do ab marathons about every other day so I may try to fit that in. I am trying to play catch up from having two days of not being up to par and no cardio for two days. I just don't want to over do it either. I am OCD about excercise can you tell :)

What exactly is an ab marathon?
Are you guys talking about just doing 2 or 3 ab workouts back to back?
How often do you do that?
How long are the total workouts??
 
Cathe put this ab marathon in one of her past rotations. It was kpc, me, and pub. Yes you do them back to back. In fact I just finished it and those abs are on fire. I had to take a break before I could go on to kpc. It is pretty fun. I personally will put it in at least once a week for a while. You should try it, it is fun!

oh I'm not sure how long the workouts are but it should be around 20 to 30 mins.
 
Becky in my case I do 30 minutes-40mins of ab work every other day. On the other day I do about 15 minutes. I will either do them all from abhits or I will do the abs from ME,Bootcamp,KPC and musclemax.

Today was Kickbox Bootcamp. Minus the core work. It is a nice day and I have to go grocery shopping my 3 sons!! At least the heat isn't bad like this past week has been.

I'm back.

I did Lowmax intervals 1 thru 5 plus PH abs. My mind was wondering during the work out so I quit on it early cause I didn't want to go flying through a wall or something!:p Initially I didn't think I could make it thru the whole work out but now I really think if my mind was on what I was doing I could have finished it! I'll have to try again next week! :)

Sandra---Cathe calls the work out Imax Xtreme and she's not kidding!!! }( :7 }( I'm pretty darn proud of myself for making it as far as I did on my first shot!:+

Tomorrow is supposed to be Guantlet ...:eek: :eek: :eek: Wish me luck!(unless I have some major DOMS in my legs again)
