Good morning Mariangeles and all that follow...

Today my work out will be Power Hour, 400 walking lunges, 500 sit ups that I know will quickly be modified to crunches, and 10 sets of 8 pushups which could take a while!!

Have a great Friday.

Good Morning Everyone, Hi Mariangeles!

Yesterday was KPC, 500 JJ, 10 min. jumprope , the day before was Power Hour, 400 walking lunges, 500 crunches and 10 sets of 8 pushups.
I probably don't have to say I have some doms going on here!!

Today is Bodymax. I hope I survive!!!!}( ;(

TGIF! Have a great day everyone!! :D

Wow Jane and Becky! You guys are doing awesome! I'll just bet you have some DOMS going on!!!

Hope you had a great w/o Mariangeles.

I did Firm it Up from the Slim series yesterday morning, RS last night and this morning I'm doing step combos from C&W's and Coremax 1.
I'm pretty much following Butts and Gutts but adding in an extra workout each day and subbing whatever I don't have. I had such great results with that rotation and I needed to jump back in w/ both feet so I figured I'd give it a go again. See what happens. So far so GREAT! I already feel toned up again and it's only been 4 days!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!
Kali

Mariangeles, What is home study? Are you taking courses in fitness or something??

Jane and Becky, I know you gals are doing Jan's rotation and you are SCARING me as I start this on Monday! LOL

Kali, how do you like Firm it Up?

I have GSBS&B on tap for today and still have major DOMS from C&T so this should be interesting!}(

Wendy I want to get certificated in Turbo Kick (the gym version of Turbo Jam). You can get certificated going to an instructor training in person or using the home study training. With the home study training you receive a manual, a Form and Technique Instructional Video, a Turbo Kick round, a Turbo Kick™ Music CD, Leather Mini-Boxing Glove, Complete Home Study Instructions, 100 Question Multiple Choice Exam and the Answer sheet. You have to read and study the TK manual and tess your knowledge with the written exam ( correctly answer at least 80% of the questions to pass the exam)and you have to demostrate your technique skills by videotaping yourself. I have 1 year to complete and submit the TKHS certification written an practical video exams and the certification is valid for 2 years. You have to become certificated to buy Turbo Kick rounds. You have more information in the Turbo Kick website: turbokick.com .

Mariángeles :)

Very cool, Mariangeles!!! Good luck!

I'd possibly like to get certified to work in fitness one day myself...physical trainer or teach a class. :D

Morning ladies. Today was Rhythmic Step. I haven't done this one in awhile. Tomorrow I am planning to do PLB possibly followed by some cardio.

Sandra - No, I am going by myself to the lessons. It's kind of something fun I can do for myself. Unfotunately, I'm going to have to look around at some different places because they gave me the cost of regular lessons last night and it was INSANE!!!x(

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Good morning everyone, and TGIF!

So much for my planned workout last night. I was so stressed out and tired that my body said, "don't you DARE even put one foot on that step!" So I fixed a decent dinner and then did "pet therapy" by petting my dog.

I'll probably do the same tonight and am seriously thinking of taking off this weekend. Something needs to give. Since I can't cut out paid employment, I guess for a while it'll have to be workouts. I just need to get my brain and emotions straightened out.

So any of you who are feeling energetic - get in a few extra Imax blasts or heavy squats for me, will you?:)

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday was supposed to be Yoga X or a cardio substitute, but it ended up being an unscheduled rest day. I guess that means I'll be working out on Sunday. (Maybe Monday's weigh in will be better. ;))

Shannon, Congrats on finishing that project! Sounds like your day of rest was well deserved, and I hope you enjoyed it. :)

Mariangeles, good luck on obtaining your certifcation. Judging by your workouts, you should have no problems.

Jane, Becky and Kali great workouts!

Wendy, I miss the GS series. I've been concentrating on this P90X rotation. I hate not finishing something once I've made a commitment, but I'm realizing more and more that 90days is a long time. Even something that's fun can get boring after 3 weeks of the same thing.

Today is supposed to be P90X Legs and Back. However, I'm leaving town in a couple of hours and I haven't packed yet. If I don't fit the workout in before I leave, I'll probably do cardio and weights at the hotel gym.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
Pamela

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

I'm just crawling out of bed...I think I'm coming down with the cold that most of my household has. I think I'm going to take a rest day.

Mariangeles: Good luck!

Jane: Whew! That is some workout....crank out a few extra push-up for me, will ya?

Becky: BodyMax is a walk in the park after the workouts you did the last few days:eek:!

Kali: Good luck w/your Butts & Gutts rotation.

Wendy: I love the GS series....the shoulder work on BSB is great.

Katie: RS is so much fun...a great way to start the day!

Shannon: We are in the same boat today....rest!

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Good morning ladies

Mariángeles, looks like a Turbo Jam day for you! Good luck with the certification.

Jane...that is great you are up to 400 walking lunges...:)

Becky...wow!..good workout...500 jumping jacks!!!

Kali...looks like you are doing great on the Butt and Guts rotation

Wendy...looks like you can add some more DOMS...:)

Katie...I don't do RS very much either, but it is a fun on, once you get the choreography down!

Shannon...pet therapy has helped me many times! Taking a break might be good for you right now. Sometimes for me, if I get in a rut, I pick out a really fun Cathe workout and it seems to help my mood..:)

Tammy...yuk!! I hope you don't get a cold....try some Airborne...:)

Sandra...now that is sweet your daughter did a video for Cathe!!! I can only imagine I make some funny faces with ME abs!! I did a Baron Baptiste Power Yoga...I was surprised as I could even hold the crow pose without crashing on my head!!!

I am doing P90X Legs & back and a 4 mile run

Have a great day....:)...Carole

Thank you very much Wendy,Katie, Pamela, Tammy and Carole. I have completed the written exam and I think I have the 80% correctly answered at least. I will practice with the Round 25 and the VHS technique video during a few months after submit both exams. Practice makes perfect.

Mariángeles :) :)

I just realized I completely missed yesterday's thread.

Robyn, I hope your son is doing well.

Carole, thanks for the suggestion about running shoes. I've tried buying them on my own at Sport's Authority, but this time I'm going to try the specialty running shop. This has turned out to be a bad week weight wise, and I've got to find some way to break through this plateau.

Sandra, I've been following the P90X Lean rotation, with the exception of yesterday's unplanned rest. However, I really think I need more cardio since I stil have several pounds to lose, I'm switching to doubles after my recovery week next week.

With the exception of yesterday, I worked harder this week, and my results are terrible! I'm puffy and bloated and it's nowhere near that tom. I have made a few poor food choices, but nothing drastic and I stayed within my points. However, I have started with supplements. (Eg. Creatine after workout, GNC total lean- advance system, and papaya enzymes). Could the supplements cause my bloating? I really don't think it's true weight gain because I haven't done anything to cause an 8 pound gain in 3 days. I've also started using protein shakes/bars as meal replacements instead of just skipping meals when pressed for time. I think I'm going to lay off the supplements. I went to GNC for vitamins (flax seed and calciumX recovery drink. I let the lady talk me into the rest of that stuff (i.e. GNC total lean advance, papaya enzymes, etc.).

Take care :)

Good morning,

Last night I did Step Fit, and found it very easy. I'm not sure my heart rate got up very high at any point. It was nice, though, after all the intensity I've been doing lately. And my hamstrings were shouting at me from PLB the day before, so it was a good thing to have a mild workout.

Jane - WOW! That's quite a workout Cathe has you doing today! I wish you lots of energy. Does Cathe mean full, classic sit ups? And does she expect people to be able to do them all without breaks? Regarding your comment yesterday about the cardio blasts feeling good when they were done - so does hitting yourself over the head with a hammer LOL!

Becky - GREAT job on doing that workout the other day! I bow to you. BodyMax will probably feel easy :) How's the grandbaby?

Kali - I like hearing that the Butts & Gutts rotation is actually effective. I might give it a go sometime. Why are you adding extra to it? Is there not enough cardio, or something?

Wendy - good luck with BSB today. You can do it!

Katie - ohhhh, that's too bad that the cost of lessons is so steep. I hope you find a more affordable alternative. One day, when I'm finished my thesis, I'm going to join something for a once a week night out. It's nice to belong to a group of some sort, and just have fun.

Shannon - I'm sorry you're finding it so hard to get everything in these days. I thought you just finished a large, time-consuming project? Did they dump another one on you right away?

Pamela - leaving town in a hurry, hmmmmm? My imagination is wandering....I agree with you about doing the same thing for long periods of time gets boring. I did one of the HardCore-only rotations and by the end of the 4 weeks was relieved to put them aside for awhile, despite really liking all the workouts.

Tammy - enjoy your rest day and keep the sick bugs at bay. Regarding your KPC/LG premix yesterday. You know how you can go into the premixes through either workout? Apparently, when you go into the premixes they aren't the same; some mistakes were made in the programming. So, for example, if you went into the premix through KPC, then next time go in through LG. You might find the missing abs included in that version.

Carole - Awesome balance! Apparently our ability to balance declines as we age, and it's not unusual for people over 40 to be unable to balance for more than a few seconds. Yoga is a terrific way of ensuring that we maintain our balance abilities. But then, you're no average 40+ woman, are you? :)

Annette - I like the combo you did yesterday: KM combos and CK drills. Great idea!

Robyn - what a relief that your son's condition is stable! Yay!

This afternoon I'll be doing PowerMax on the 8" step. Hopefully my hamstrings will feel a bit better.

Have a great day!
Sandra

Hello !!!!

I have CTX Kickbox on my schedule today... I might add some extra cardio with it. I think I will do this before lunch. Take care !

.Lisa

Hey ladies!

Yes Sandra I am very relieved. Its such a huge relief not needing brain surgery. Now we can focus on the siezures.

Anyhow I'll write more later. Did 10-10-10 last night.

I am waiting for final plans with my friend for Monday. He doesn't read email much so I'm in waiting mode..... I'm on 24/7 so its difficult to be patient.

Well, I succeeded in getting through BS&B w/o my DOMS causing too much trouble!

I found that my endurance in my shoulders for over-head presses has gotten better. I got through all 3 sets with 8# db's and I always had to drop to 5's before. YEAY! :+ The band work for shoulders is down-right freakin' EVIL after all of the DB work she makes you do! }( }( }(

I was being a dork and flexxing in the mirror }( :+ :7 and I turned around and checked out my back...I'm likin' what I see! Now if I could only figure out how to take a pic of it! :p

I am going to rest/stretch tomorrow and Sunday.

Oh well, off to grab some java!

Toodles girls!:)

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been very "chatty" lately, but I started this new job on 2 January and I'm so busy I don't even have a lunchbreak!

Well, did my first run with Coach Troy on my TM this morning, #2. He finished in not even 4K, but I had planned at least 5K so I just kept going and was pleasantly surprised that the music kep going too. Loved the workout though. Bought them in October, but wasn't sure I was going to like it and kept putting it of.

Added on GS-Legs, standing ex only.

And thank you ladies for your positive comments on yesterday's w/o. I was on a roll.... ;-)
