Daily check-in 18/06/2005

Hey Carole: Thanks for asking:) I was doing CTX AllStep yesterday enjoying 'grapevine down the board and over the top' and as I went over the top my foot landed where the puzzle mat ends and my ankle twisted internally and down I wentx( I felt a little pop and called for Faith to bring me ice immediately. I can weight bear and am okay to work but my gait is off and putting on socks and shoes hurts. I know it will be fine in time but I'm a few weeks from stepping and any impact. I have such a long history of clumsiness that I figure I'm due for a fall about every 1 & 1/2 to 2 years:p
It's kind of humbling but a good opportunity for me to practise what I preach to clients in clinic. I PM'ed you back last night. After all of this time on the boards I just clued into that! Strong like bull, smart like tractor.....that's me:+ I did like that CTX upper body split though and will be wracking my brain for gentler cardio options for the next while.....Did you get your DVDs yet?:)

Laurie, I'm so sorry to hear about your ankle. That would drive me crazy. Last fall, I was doing Step Blast on an 8" step and I heard and felt something in my calf rip. Being the idiot that I am, I took one night off and then modified all my workouts (I wasn't doing exclusively Cathe at the time) so that I didn't have to stop working out:p I hope your ankle feels better soon.

I ended up doing KPC. I love that workout. I always forget that I love that workout.:)
 
I'll be an idiot too Shelley cause stopping just ain't an option.:) I'll modify and maybe dust off some Charlene Prickett or Karen Voigt. This also gives me a chance to buff up my pipes, summer's here time to see if I can pop myself a bicep vein}(

I just told DH the other day if I were to break my leg right now I'd be DEVASTATED! He thinks I'm insane.:eek: That's ok though.
Tonight I did Power Hour and the cardio from Cardio & Weights. Hope I can move tomorrow. This was my 1st day of working out in AM & PM.:7 Have a good night all!

Hi Ladies,

No exercise for today, It was work max all day long. I will get a good tomorrow. I rest one day a week, so today was it.

I am jelous, all of you got great workouts!
 
Hello all:

Today was my rest day, I did do the Stretch Max segment with the band, which felt great. Then I ran errands (yup, Father's Day gift for DH for me too) and then chased after 4 kids--my two each had one over, and they are little.

Just past 9:00 pm. Time to go to bed! (On a Saturday night, sad, I know).
