Cathlete
Hi good morning, I am the first today. Today I start the week 12 (the week before the last recovery week). I will do chest, shoulders and triceps ( I looove this workout), ab ripper and TAEBO. I prefer to sweat with my dear Billy Blanks than do the Cardio P90X.Billy makes me feel motivated and he encourages me in the tapes. I love when Billy says "you gotta give something to get something" because that is so true, and it makes me want to push harder.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Good morning Mariangeles,

Last night: PowerMax and flor work from L&G
Today: Lower Body Split-Firm (I beleive the best workout that can be classified as lowerbody freestyle) and GymStyle Chest/
CleanMax and Errand on schedule today.

My results from freestyle are great..I have lost 3 stubborn lbs since I started (now 5'7' and 124lbs) and I have lost just over 1%BF. I am not yet at the recommended level of intensity..6 days a week and 3 sets of 6 lower body exercises/workout day. I am at 5 freestyle days with the recommended amount of exercises/workout. The book says you must do a mimimum of 5 days/week otherwise you are not in the freestyle zone as you are giving your lower body time to bulk up. In am following my upper body routine (progressive overload) woring each body part to progressive overload 1x/7-8 days, not freestyle upper body and am only doing cardio about 3x/week sometimes 4 although thestanding lower body work can fall under cardio as according to freestyle method you can't take more than a 30s break between sets and so your herat rate stays up there.

Have a good day!

Good morning ladies,

I'm supposed to do upper and lower body and abs today but I'm not sure I can. I started feeling sick last night--headache, earache, stuffy nose, sore throat and a cough. I've had a miserable night. I'll be cheering you on, though. Tomorrow is my off day but I'll probably take today off and w/o tomorrow.

Mariangles--you go girl!!:)

Cathy--congratulations on those results. That's fantastic!! What book are you talking about? I don't know much about freestyle but it sounds like something I need. :)

Michele

Hi Cathy and everyone who post later.Cathy congratulations for your results with the freestyle method. It sound interesting and effective.

Good morning ladies,

Can't sleep as to husband goes to work and wakes me up. So that means I will never get back to sleep. Well yesterday it was supposed to of been GS tri's and all of coremax, but dh hogged the tv last night so I did three different exercises for tri's with three sets each. And for abs I just did 40 reps to each angle. So today is S&H chest and all of coremax.

Mariangeles-Sounds like you are enjoying P90X and taebo is so much fun! I haven't done it in forever!

Cathy-I was wondering how the firm lower body split was. Does it have standing and floor work? And GS chest is a burner! I was sore three days after doing it last week! And good going on your results!

Michele- I am sorry you aren't feeling well. Good Idea today to take off and doctor yourself.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi, good morning Michele. If you need to rest take a break. When you're not feeling well, it's difficult to predict whether exercising will make you feel better or worse. However, there are times when exercising can be potentially dangerous. You're the best judge when it comes to your own body. Listen to your body. I hope you fell better tomorrow.

Hi good morning Kim. I love the P90X. The weight workouts are fantastic. My best fitness purchases so far this year have been the P90X dvds.

I always have a fun time with TAEBO. What can I say?. I named myself TAEBO junkie.

Have a great day and enjoy your workout.

Good morning fitness folks....

Cathy - great w/o and I'm glad you are seeing such good results!

Mariangeles - I saw on another thread that received your new Cathe DVDs and like this. I didn't pre-order and now I am wishing I had. Isn't that always the way though. Are you nearing the end of your P90X rotation?

Kim - glad to see you got in something last night. Good improvising.

For everyone else who's checked in and those that follow, I'll say good morning.

Yesterday was a 40 minute run and CM#2.

Today IMAX1 is on the schedule.

I woke up with a headache so I will wait a little while before I tackle that one. I have a wedding to go to this afternoon.

Good morning, Ladies!

Mariangeles-Are the p90x intense? I am looking for some new tough workouts.

Cathy-That is awesome! Congratulations! You always are working so hard anyway. It is really paying off.

Michele-I hope you get to feeling better.

Kim-Sounds like a great workout!

Today was Boot Camp 2x's. This afternoon I will do 500 crunches w/weights.

Have a great day!

:D

Good Morning Everyone,

I am off to do Imax1. For me the rotation says 40 min. run and coremax today but I just don't feel like running, so I am skipping a day ahead.....might use tomorrows rest day for my run instead.

Have a great Saturday everyone!:)

Mariángeles...I agree. Any Taebo is better than the P90X Cardio!!

Cathy...you are doing GREAT with Freestyle! Getting results this quick is great. I normally do 4 sets of 20 reps myself, but I ususally do 2 Cathe workouts a week modifing for Freestyle. I also do lunge walking 4-5 days a week and add on front and back lunges to Cathe's workouts sometimes.

Michelle...I hope you feel better...

Kim...sorry about the lack of sleep...:(...I'm lucky as we have 2 TV's so if my DH is home and I want to workout he uses the TV in our bedroom.

Jane...I did a few intervals of Imax 1 Thursday in a mish mosh I created. It really is a good workout. I would also be happy to send you the rain if I could!!

Carla...P90X is VERY intense. Especially for the upper body and core. Way to go with BC twice!!!

Becky..I think any of the Imaxes would be a good sub for running.

Today I am doing Timesaver #5 ( The Legs & Glutes one), some kickbox, abs, chest & back.

No rain yesterday until last night...wow..http://bestsmileys.com/storms/4.gif[/img] quite a storm...have a good day ladies...:)...Carole

Hi Jane, thank you yes I have received the low impact step and body sculping dvd and I like it.Don't worry I think Cathe will start a new preorder time soon.I noticed on the back of Low Impact Step, in parenthesis, it states that the workout is from the "Total Cardio Step Series"; and, beside Total Body Sculpting it states that its from "Total Muscle Sculpting Series". Perhaps the announcement has something to do with additional workouts to go with it.

I am on the week 12 of the P90X rotation. The next week will be the last recovery week and I will be a P90X graduate. I have to start thinking about what I am going to do after the P90X.I am tempted to do the August rotation. I want to do Bootcamp twice.

Hi Carla, Wendy, Becky, Carole and everyone who post later.

Carla P90X is intense. The workouts kick my butt. These workouts are definitely TOUGH. I am tired after each one that I have done, and I consider myself an advanced exerciser. The more I do these workouts, the more I like them.If you can't buy the whole package get the weight workouts,Core Synergistics, back and legs and the Plyo workout. You can substitute the Kenpo workout with KPC, KM, CK or other kickbxing workout.Cardio P90X is made with exercises of Plyo, Core Synergistics, Yoga and Kenpo. You can substitute Yoga and stretch P90X with a Strech workout.Ab ripper is a great 15 minutes abs routine but you can substitute it using the core training of other Cathe's workouts.

Carole we need the rain in Spain.Send us the storm.

Becky you can substitute the running with MIC.

Wendy enjoy the rest day.

Good Morning Fit Ladies!

Wow...there is a lot of activity here for a Saturday morning!

Today calls for a 5k run and then ME.

Mariangeles: Excellent progress with your P90X.

Cathy: Great results, and so quickly too!

Michele: Hope you feel better soon.

Kim: I haven't done the S&H series in a while...I may have to dust them off soon.

Jane: Have fun w/IMax...that's a good calorie burner. Enjoy your wedding!

Carla: Wow! BC x2 plus 500 crunches - whew!

Becky: IMax for you too today...how is the September rotation?

Wendy: Enjoy your rest day!

Carole: Your posts are surely the most creative...always love your graphics. Enjoy your workout!

Hello to all that follow....have a great day!

Tammy

I'm back after doing Imax1 . Also added abs from CTX kickbox.
Tammy, I am really enjoying the Sept. rotation so far. I love all the cardio in it.
Am starting to miss working upper body(shoulders and biceps are my favorite parts to work), and as of now am undecided if I should just add my own upper body work on top of the workouts already scheduled, or just plan on making my next rotation heavy on upper body work.
Is it an issue for anyone else on this rotation, and what are you doing about it??
Well, I feel worked out and ready to go! Off to the showers and then to make my protein smoothie!
Great workouts as always everybody!!:7

Just finished IMAX1 and it was great!! Flying high on endorphins.

Becky - I got in two upper bodies this week with BodyMax and GS chest. GS chest was on Thursday and I still have DOMS!:) I see what you mean though about not having a concentrated w/o on each of those upper body parts. For right now though, I'm going to stick with the rotation as is and add when I have a little more time. I'm off to the showers too after my protein snack.

Thanks for answering Jane:)
I like the way you are adding in some upperbody.
I did bodymax too, but on CTX step and interval /coremax day, I added a stretch, and today I added an ab.....so next time instead I will add a short upper body instead.

Any suggestions for a substitution for Kickmax? I don't have that. I do have cardio kicks, and CTX kickbox and SJ& P . Are any of those or a combination of those a good sub?

Now , unfortunately I'm off to do housecleaning max. I know I like Imax better! :p
Have a great day!

Hey Becky,

I added that GS chest in on the CTX Step and Interval day because I don't have that w/o. I used All Step and since it works the shoulders, I skipped that part and just added the GS chest.

KickMax is a 70 minute w/o with those blasts in it and I have seen on these boards from those who have all these kickboxing w/o's that you can substitute these for KickMax. KickMax also has leg conditioning drills on the end of it, standing leg work only, so you can add this onto your Cardio Kicks or CTX Kickbox from any of your w/o's that has a standing leg segment. I have also seen KPC being substituted for KickMax also if you have that one. I have it but haven't done the whole w/o yet, only the cardio premix.

Glad to see some of us doing the same thing. This is the first time I've followed a rotation and didn't know if I could do it but it is so much fun having "workout buddies" to check in with who are doing the same thing.

Off to run errands. Have a good day. IMAX1 sure set the tone for a good day!!!:)

Hi everyone,

This morning I did BodyMax w/u and leg circuits, followed by Power Hour upper body work and TBStretch #1. I guess I needed a light day yesterday because I felt much better this morning and had a good level of energy for the workout. Tomorrow's a rest day, and then I've put together a fairly light rotation for next week. It's so nice that Cathe now has a small collection of low-impact, shorter workouts.

Jane - I LOL at the Hardcore extreme suggestion! I'll keep that in mind for when I get really desperate.

Katie - nice to hear from you! And good work sticking with your rotation. Those 2 pounds are probably just water retention from the high sodium in all that food. :)

Cathy - how motivating to see such good results!

Michele - feel better soon!

Kim - you're doing a terrific job in sticking with some kind of workout, despite the troubles you've been having with your foot. That takes real dedication.

Wendy - enjoy your rest day.

Carole - love the lightening icon!

Tammy - a 5k run and ME should exhaust those legs for sure!! Enjoy!

Have a good weekend!
Sandra
