I'll get us started today. My dvd's arrived yesterday! I was excited to try something new this morning. I put in the Boxing/lower body dvd. I stopped after about 20 minutes. I'm sure the workout is fine, I'm not. I'm not sleeping well...at all. So 5:30 A.M. is not a happy time. I just didn't have the energy for anything. I got down on my mat to stretch and was afraid I might just fall asleep.....feeling defeated.

Ahhh Peg, I'm sorry. I don't enjoy those days where I have the time and the motivation but just not in the mood or right frame of mind to workout. There is always tomorrow.

Today I did more Yvette Bachman - cardio/heavy weight workout. I modify with the cardio. She shares lots of cathe moves and music, actually. I am really liking her. i prefer the quality of Cathe's streaming, however.

Hi ladies,

Today I taught my Chair Kickbox Circuit workout to 12 ladies for an hour!! Nice way to start the new year!!

Then I did 40 minutes of weight work including abs and floorwork legs!

Cold today,brrrrr!![emoji32]

Have a great day and workout![emoji3]

Hi ladies,

Peg- sorry you didn't sleep well and wasn't feeling the workout. Hopefully tonight will bring more rest and shut eye for you.

Siobhan & Annette - nice workouts!

Siobhan - I agree, Cathe live is better quality, but Yvette is free so I won't complain. They're good workouts and nice to add between all the Cathe we do.

Today was super windy! I went out for a walk with Mick and barely made it out of our block before the wind hit us so hard that it nearly flipped over the pram (baby carriage). I let the wind guide us back home. I definitely wasn't about to take any chances. Fortunately Mick was so exhausted before the walk already that the very short walk was enough to knock him out.

While he napped I watched Grey's Anatomy and did some more reviews in binders. And yes Peg, I have heard of the compendium and have downloaded the most recent one, but that of course won't include my opinion and stats. Perhaps I will print the compendium and at least use it for the breakdowns... although my old Excel sheets are also calling me, asking for an update.

My Fit Split arrived today!!! So excited!

Needless to say... I knew which workout I would have to try today. Having worked my upper body yesterday it was either lower body or cardio. So while Mick continued napping I decided to try the Kickboxing premix, cardio only. I liked it! So much better than the old stuff, nothing overly complicated. Just a solid workout with a couple of blasts. No one modifies anything, but I know better than to try snow angels at the moments, so where needed I modified it.

Later in the day, during Mick's next nap I did the Legs premix from the same DVD. I was only half way through it when Mick woke up. With the storm I had not dared to venture outside again, so his nap was a lot lighter. Fortunately he got the most fussy during the gliding Disc cross backs and side lunges, which was perfect as one required light weights and the other a 15 pound dumbbell. Well by now at 7.5 weeks he is well over 15 pounds, so I substituted DBs with him. Good thing no one was watching! It must have been a strange sight. Next move used the step, so I had to put him down and kept talking with him while doing the moves hoping he would stay reasonably calm so I could finish it. Workouts with a fussy baby are not the most fun, but I am stubborn so I don't want to stop mid workout unless really necessary. When it was time to stretch I picked him up and did my own stretches quickly as it was also time to drive the big kids to basketball. Well the legs part of that DVD was also real good. I can feel it in my thighs and glutes already.

I look forward to trying the other Fit Split DVDs! Fortunately it's already a lot less windy, so tomorrow should be fine for long walks so I can get the baby to nap well and give me more time for an undisturbed workout. Although you never know... babies can be unpredictable!

Hope everyone is well.

Hey all, boy this week got away from me. I did a 30 minute run on the treadmill and 30 minute swim. It was colder on the treadmill than it was in the pool! The chill just attaches itself to you. Of course, after I swam, I took off the wet clothes, put on my leggings, a cotton jacket with a hood, a leather jacket, a puffy coat, a scarf and a beret and put my hood up and braved the ride home. Now THAT was cold. I'll probably try to swim again. I did enjoy it, but I'm very tired tonight and I can't face going out to the mailbox. Anybody else miserable with this cold?

Hi girls, back to my late check-in, yes, Missy, I am sick of this cold weather, it's about taken everything completely
