CTXpress...What order is best?

dmd

Cathlete
Hello All,

I have this series, have never really used it and thought I'd do it in conjunction with my running proram. I simply need to know the "BEST" order to do them in, or, does it matter. Obviously, I wouldn't do the LL tape after a long run, but I thought someone out there might have a clue.

Thanks, Deb Dailey

Hi Deb. If you do a search, I believe I saw a couple ways of doing the CTX series. And I really don't think really matters too much on the order, as long as you use Power Circuit and Leaner Legs spaced out from one another since both utilize the legs. Hope this helps some, and maybe somebody else can give you a better answer!!

I would recommend doing them from large to small muscle groups, with leaner legs somewhere in the middle. It's also a good idea not to do back/chest/shoulders consecutively, as they all work the shoulders.

I recommend: the circuit one with back, chest, leaner legs, shoulder, triceps, biceps, day off.

Hi Deb!

A BIG wave, all the way to you out west, from me in the east!!! http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein_1/wavey.gif How are you? I miss our chats. I'll try to get an E-mail off to you soon. It's almost midnight here and I am pooped. Just to let you know, I am back to jogging now that my broken toe is all healed and our Ohio weather has decided to cooperate. Have FUN with the CTX Series~it is awesome. Love 10-10-10 & Step'n'Intervals.

RE: Hi Deb!

Debbie: Where are you in Ohio? I'm in Michigan, about 20 minutes from the Toledo border.

RE: Hi Deb!

Debbie!

It is good to hear from you! I hadn't heard about your broken toe....how did you workout around that one? Boy, I bet that took a while to heal huh? I finally got over my medial glute injury ( took weeks to heal and discovered spinning while healing). BUT NOW, I have this really interesting injury. It began with "a slight pain in my elbow", then worked it's way into my medial delt and down my forearm and into my pinkie and ring finger ( kind of a radiating numbness). I am so hesitant to have a doctor see it cuz I know what he is going to say! I know, I know I should go......UGHHHHHH> Got the whole violin section out yet?

Aside from all this drama life is marching by. Still gigging with the Little Big Band and just finished mixing our third CD...very exciting mix of Big Band, Latin, Jazz and cover charts done by Chicago, Tower of Power, Aretha and the like. The group has become very versatile because of the weddings and corporate parties that demand such a mix...we have to become the "human Juke box".

Sure hope all is well with your family and Baby Kennedy. Bet she is growing so fast and talking up a storm eh? As I type away here, Steve is finishing up PS legs, floor work and all ( he just loves these workouts). He needs his functional fitness to be able to haul all the PA eqipment to our gigs ha-ha!

Thanks for the "HEY" look forward to hearing from you around here.

Dear Kathryn and all,

Thank you so much for the info...I really appreciate to input and suggestions. :)

Hey Deb!!!!

I broke my toe last August. I was training to run the "Labor of Love" Run that our church sponsors every year. I was going to do the 5-miler, my very first race ever! Looong story short, I "ran" (no pun intended)into my Bun & Thigh Rocker without shoes on and broke my toe a week before the race. I had just gotten myself up to 5-6 mile runs. I could hardly wait to do the race. Well, with a broken toe, it was not possible. Funny thing though, the machine that broke my toe, saved me! I was able to "rock" away and it didn't hurt my toe at all since I pushed thru my heels. I also was able to do strength work except lunges that put pressure on my toes. Soooo, I guess I was pretty fortunate. Had to "walk" thru my classes for a few weeks and then had a couple week break. By the time I got it healed well enough to jog again, the weather had decided to do it's Ohio thing. All-in-all it ended up not being too much of a tragedy, other then I missed the race! :-(

Sorry to hear of your injury. Sounds like maybe a pinced nerve with the numbness??? Keep me posted and YES, you should go see a doc. I know, I am just like you, don't want to hear the word STOP!

A THIRD CD! That is great. I LOVE listening to your first one! Sounds like you all have stayed sooo busy. Glad to hear Steve is still Cathe-ing! Dave just loves her. If I ever try anyone else, you should hear him! VERY prejudice about our Cathe!

Yes, Kennedy is gettingsooo big and IS taking a mile-a-minute! She will be 2 next month! We get the biggest kick out of her EVERY time we see her. I'll drop you a recent pix of her at the Easter Egg Hunt we had. Guess I should have E-mailed you. Sorry to go on & on. Have a great weekend and keep me posted on your ouchie! I'll say a prayer for healing.
