CTX workouts for losing weight ?

Are the CTX workouts, I only have them on VHS but are they good for losing weight ? I would of considered myself more of an advanced exerciser but lately I have been to relaxed with my eating & workouts which results in weight gain and it seems like I've lost some strength and I thought I read somewhere here that CTX are good. Not that these can't be advanced but anyway I am rambling so... I noticed they are shorter workouts then most though so what are all your thoughts ? Oh and I know eating has to go hand in hand for this to all work :)

I lost weight doing a CTX rotation. The cardio is very intense. It's so intense it's like 60 minutes of regular cardio, condensed into 30 minutes. They are tough.

I definitely lost weight doing a CTX rotation, without changing my diet. I don't normally do cardio every workout and it made the pounds disappear!
 
I keep debating if I should get these workouts again. I like the way these are laid out but not sure if I can handle all the high impact and step almost every day.
This would be a good one to start the new year off with. Can I justify the high price of these workouts?? Wonder if I could still get free shipping since I did the pre-sale?

how much weight did you ladies lose? and have you kept it off?
I need to lose around 7pds and nothing is working so far.

Hi Laura, It's been a very long time since I did a rotation with CTX. As a matter of fact, it was my first Cathe series. If I remember correctly, I lost around 10 pounds. I did not keep it off, but it is my own fault for not sticking with my workouts and eating correctly. I actually keep debating on doing another rotation, but right now I'm hooked on the Hardcore workouts. I think the CTX series has the best ab work ever. I had never seen that oblique line until I started that series. I was amazed the day I looked in the mirror and saw those lines. I was so excited that I ran to show my husband. :D
 
I think I lost abt. 4 pounds. I lost my love handles and the little points on the hips- you know those square spurs sticking out on the rear-side corners above the hip? Between the spine and hip bone, projecting to the southwest and southeast if north is straight ahead....

Lost those. Gained a lot of rhythm.
 
does these workouts have mostly step? I am not a big fan of step workouts, I get bored with stepping and stepping.Laura
 
Every workout has step work except Kickbox. You may not get bored with these workouts. They are extremely fast paced and only about 30 minutes each.
 
I would normally do a longer step tape like Power Max, Rhythmic Step, or the like, but instead today did Power Circuit followed by Allstep (omitting the AS warm-up) and, buddy, was that INTENSE!!!! Those little buggers (the CTX cardios) pack a punch!
Just Do It! :)
 
I am going to do a CTX rotation for December starting tonight - exactly as is - so I will post my before and after results at the beginning of the new year :) I am sticking strictly to the workouts as scheduled and adding yoga to relax at night -)

I am starting a CTX rotation for december on Monday, 12/5. Not sure which order I will be doing these workouts. Do you have a rotation that you will be doing? I also plan on doing yoga or pilates in the evening.
I am hoping for some results - I guess I better get my eating back in check.

Hi just wanted to jump in here! I did a 4 week rotation. I guarantee you won't get bored. Even though there is step in 4 of them its so varied and so intense, you will love it.

I got great results too. My goal wasn't to loose weight but it definetly firmed me up.
