I wondered if anybody else find this - if I try to do all of CTX upper body, my triceps are so fatigued from the chest work that I can't go heavy for shoulders or triceps. I thought of taking out chest and adding it to my legs day. Any other suggestions?
I have noticed this on PUB too. I want to go harder on shoulders but find them quite fatigued by the time I get there so I aam not experimenting. Sometimes I put shoulders first, then continue the rest of the workout. ometimes I mentally decide that "today" I am going to uo the eights and go all out on triceps and back, for instance. It helps to challenge different parts of the body and keep the workout fresh and my mental focus just where it should be.
Or do opposing muscle groups. Chest and Back. Bicep and Triceps. LL and Shoulders. This is the only way I could do CTX UB. Because the back workout seems rather long. When I group them this way it's just perfect.
On bad days, I skip the push-ups, both for chest and triceps. Or, as what others have said, mix up the segments. I've done CTX chest and back then a CTX cardio one day, then CTX sh/tri/bi on another, cardio optional.
