CTX series

Is the CTX series the best way to learn the combos for Imax 2? I have BS/BF/C&W/CM. I just did Imax 2 & didn't know half the step combinations. I did run them back about 10 times, but never quite got the new ones -very frustrating. Basic step & body fusion went over the routines at a slow enough pace so that I could master them. If the combos in Imax 2 are totally new then I won't get the CTX series.

Pls help.
Thanks.

I don't think there's any one series or one workout which could help you with Imax 2 choreograaphy. Of course, doing CTX wouldn't hinder either, but not all of the CTX cardio is step. There's kickbox and hi-lo added in, so..... Cathe tends to pull from all her revious work, new and old, no matter how far back some of it goes and she creates new moves all the time.

Honestly, your best bet is just to do the Imax 2 choreography, hitting the rewind button as oftn as you need to.

Here's what I would do:

Do your normal cardio workout for the day so that you at least feel "worked out." Then put in Imax 2 and work through the cardio sections only, since they are the most choreographed. Leave the blasts for now. It's possible that you can get so wiped doing the blasts that it's not leaving you enough energy and mental focus to concentrate on learning the moves. So, just do the Imax 2 choreography "for fun", in learning mode, rewinding as often as you want. There's no pressure there because you already have your body worked out for the day, so relax and have some fun.

Once you have the choreo down for the cardio sections, add back in the blasts and you are away!

Good luck,

Clare

That's exactly how I felt. I had to rewind so many times & still didn't get the moves right, I felt like I had cooled down too much & didn't get enough of the work out I was aiming for.
Thanks!

Clare hit the nail on the head with her advice...

"It's possible that you can get so wiped doing the blasts that it's not leaving you enough energy and mental focus to concentrate on learning the moves."

Don't get discouraged, you'll get it in time. But I find that when I buy a new Cathe I need to be ready to focus on learning the new step moves or I'm lost before I get started so it is much easier to break each step segment down and learn them individually, then put it all together once you're comfortable with the choreography. And we don't live in a perfect world. If my kids come in and talk to me while I'm working out I usually get thrown off and have to do some power 3's before I can get back in sync with Cathe and crew.

The first videos/series I tried with Cathe was the Intensity Series. I wasn't sure how I would ever get IMAX 2 down when I previewed it

BUT

I made up my mind that I CAN learn it and was absolutely determined. I just practiced and learned more and more each time doing it. Actually, there is still one interval that confuses me...somewhere in the last half of it but, one of these days I figure it out.

You'll get it. Just work at it!:)
