I need some advice. I have been watching video clips and pondering my next Cathe purchase. I have my rotation planned through Memorial Day weekend, and I am looking for something new for June. With possible trips planned, time will be a factor that month. I am thinking about the CTX Series on DVD or the Timesaver DVD. I am leaning toward the CTX Series but would love some feedback. I already have Leaner Legs and CTX Upper Body on VHS as well as the Ab Hits DVD. I would basically be getting this for the cardio. Would this be a good investment for me? I have the Body Blast Series on VHS, so I do not have access to premixes. Now that I am participating in the 12-week challenge, which do you think would give me better results in terms of fat loss? Which of these DVDs do you reach for more often? I love Cardio Kicks and Circuit Max if that helps. Based on the video clips I watched, the CTX workouts seem to be similar in terms of music and style. Of course, I love the Body Blast Series too! I am still trying to master the Step Blast choreography and really prefer Rhythmic Step’s music and choreography. The step segment of Step, Jump, & Pump is my favorite step routine.
I have been working out with Cathe for less than a year. Most of my collection was acquired through the VHS sale. I am now in the process of upgrading to DVDs. Here is what I have so far:
How to Get in Shape for Your Wedding (VHS)
Power Max (VHS)
Interval Max (VHS)
Pure Strength Strong Legs and Abs (VHS)
Cardio Kicks (VHS)
Circuit Max (VHS)
Leaner Legs (VHS)
CTX Upper Body (VHS)
Ab Hits (VHS and DVD)
Power Hour (VHS)
Rhythmic Step (VHS)
Slow and Heavy Series (VHS)
Intensity Series (VHS)
Terminator (DVD)
Body Blast Series (VHS)
High Step Training (DVD)
Total Body Stretching (DVD)
Of these workouts, the only ones that are too challenging for me right now are High Step Training and the Viper. I love the cardio premix of High Step Training now and know that I will grow into this workout in time. I also love Muscle Endurance and IMAX2 on their own, but the combination in the Viper is too much for me to handle with good form. I prefer Boot Camp and the Gauntlet.
I am not crazy about “dated” workouts, but Cardio Kicks and Circuit Max do not fall into this category in my opinion, so that is not an issue with the CTX Series. Based on what I shared, what do you suggest? Which of the videos in my collection should I consider acquiring on DVD? Is there anything else I need to round out my Cathe collection? I want to buy the Hardcore Series as a bundle, but I am waiting until I am closer to my goal weight. I am 5'3" and 185 pounds (down from 260 pounds). I know how to modify impact, so that is not a concern for me either. Fat loss is my primary goal right now, and I am looking for workouts that I can do in 60 minutes or less. I exercise 6 days a week and usually stick with circuit training every other day because I need some cardio even on weight training days to see results.
Blessings,
Heather B.
