CTX Rotation for Weight Loss?

Hi everyone!

I know someone has probably asked this in the past, but I could not find it. What have all of your results been with doing just the CTX Series? Doing 1 tape each day? Will that be enough to lose weight, lower bodyfat and get leaner? I need to lose 15 lbs. and really tone up!

Thanks!
Sarah

Hi Sarah,
CTX was pretty much my first experience of Cathe, and I have to say I absolutely love it and it gave me great results. I only did a 4 week rotation (normally 8 weeks is advisable as it gives your body chance to really respond to the workouts), doing each tape once per day. Even though I only did 4 weeks, I lost inches, increased my level of cardio fitness and saw some good definition in my upper and lower body. The cardio sections are short, but intense. If weight-loss is your priority, you may find that 30 mins cardio is not quite enough, although it just depends how well your body responds. I did lose a few pounds doing the CTX series, but as I still have 28lbs to lose, I have found (through trial and error!) that my body needs the longer cardio of 45-60 mins 4 times per week to lose those pounds at a quicker rate. You could always combine 2 of the cardio workouts to give you 60 mins as follows:

Day One: All Step & Power Circuit
Day Two: 10-10-10 + Back/Chest/Shoulders
Day Three: Kickbox + Step & Intervals
Day Four: Power Circuit + Triceps/Biceps
Day Five: All Step + Step & Intervals
Day Six: Leaner Legs

I hope this helps!

Hi,
I'm with Kaz, I had the same experience with CTX.
I adore the series, but when doing only 1 cardio/day, even with doubling up the strength portions, I lost a minimal amount of weight, some weeks even maintained my weight. I found my body needs longer cardio in order to consistently shed pounds/inches.
But Kaz's idea of doubling up on the CTX cardios is one I hadn't considered, so I may try this in the future, and I think it would be worth you trying since 3 days out of the week would be 60min cardios.
Good idea Kaz! :)

Here's a CTX Rotation that I use sometimes (when I have the time a few days a week to do two workouts a day)

Day One: Power Circuit(am) + Step and Intervals(pm)
Day Two: All Step
Day Three: Kickbox (am) + 10/10/10 (pm)
Day Four: Leaner Legs
Day Five: Rest or Yoga
Back to day one, etc.

On the double days you conveniently get one ab workout out and also work opposing muscle groups!

For what it's worth :)
