CTX Question

I bought CTX for the strength and ab sections and have avoided the cardio sections because of comments about the high impact. Still, the idea of short cardios appeal to me on time crunched days. Could someone help me by rating the CTX cardio sections from least to highest impact? (or maybe that should be high to highest...;-))Are some easier to modify than others? TIA!

10-10-10 is highest impact. Then Power Circuit, Step Intervals, All Step, and Kickbox is probably the lowest, but you do 2 sets of power scissors which are high impact. I tend to not get bothered by high impact if it is on a step, but that's just me. The high impact isn't that bad in 10-10-10 because you switch from intense kickbox, to low impact aerobics, to high impact aerobics, to stepping, so it gives your joints a chance to recover. Do try the cardio, you can modify and they are all so much fun!!!

I agree- try them because the tapes are fun and definately can be modified. Just don't add jumps or bounce. Plus, they're all under 30 mins, so it's not too hard on your body. You already have the tapes, so you mine as well give it a go.

I modify as well...

Hi Tia,

I modify all the CTX tapes when it comes to hi-impact.
I feel uncomfortable doing all the jumping and my body I guess is not built for impact, yet I do the CTX tapes at least once a week. They are fun and I love short workouts !

Modify and Enjoy !

Hi, I'm new to CTX and just did a very modified version of 10-10-10 this morning. I've been searching this forum and I want to know:

Was CTX designed to do all in the same week? Can the joints handle all that stepping or should I mix other tapes into this CTX rotation?

Thanks in advance!

I just ordered PS and now want the CTX. I only have LL and Power Circuit. I want the DVD! If the rest of the series is anything like PC then it must be a truly awesome series. I just used the weights portion of PC this week, usually just use the cardio ( which is short but makes you wonder how she crams in such a good workout in so little time!) but after CKicks tacked on the weights and was surprised that it even had an abs section. That workout was fantastic. So now I figure I'm going to be broke again for another month if I get the CTX. It's just that I kept arguing that the cardio portions aren't that many/long and you could always just use other workouts...but if PC is anything to go by, then those short cardios are really well put together and very effective.

Trying again... my post got 'threaded' for some reason and it's hard to find!
