Hello ladies!

I posted this below at the end of the original CTX thread I had started a few days ago but no one has seen it so I'm reposting it in a new thread. :)

Originally posted this yesterday:

Anyone else get this kind of effect from this work out??

I definitely used to get sore lats, shoulders and sometimes arms from kickboxing when I was just starting out with it. After a while, my body adapted, and I usually don't get as sore. But sometimes, if I haven't done it for a while, I'm still surprised by some good DOMS.

I'm like Kathryn, initially after doing a w/o the first time or two was really sore- but alas your body gets used to it and unless you take a break from it for a while it's never as good as the first time }( . I know the Kickmax will kick my butt when it comes. I do love kickboxing and esp those arm drills in ctx kickbox!!

I just did CTX kickbox last night, too. The first kick-box I ever tried was KPC and wow, was I ever flailing around feeling like an idiot. THEN, I tried CTX kickbox and found that it really helped me to improve my form. After doing it a couple times, I really felt the soreness and the "burn" that cathe talked about, so I knew that I was finally doing something right! It's my favorite kickbox routine! Not too hard, but intense. :) I'm "feeling" my back and arms today. Love it!

I'm going to attempt CTX kickbox again tonight...I have put it into my rotation to be done once per week, scheduled for mondays so far.

If I feel I'm not up to it yet because my arms are still yelling at me }( then I will just push it to later in the week but this one is definately a keeper!:) I'm also gonna try kickin' it up a notch by adding the upper body toning from basic step on to it. WA HOO! lol

I am discluding the toning sections of the series until I have sampled (and can manage to do) all of the cardio sections of the ctx series. Once that happens then I will use this series as it's own rotation and do the work outs all the way through. I will also have to try the upper body split one day to see how that compares to basic step's upper body. I know it will be harder...I want to see if I can handle it yet...

Have a great work out!
