CTX DVD Chaptering

Currently I have Leaner Legs & CTX Upper Body on video, but I have been seriously contemplating buying the whole series. However, I'm not sure if I should just buy the 5 other videos, or the whole set in videos it is cheaper that way, or the DVDs. Can someone please tell me how the DVDs are chaptered? If I mainly wanted to use the cardio portions would it even matter if I bought the videos instead? If there is so much more available option wise then I would probably buy the DVD. I figure if I bought the DVD then I could go to the Ya Ya swap and sell my Leaner Legs & CTX Upper Body or maybe exchange them at videofitness. Any information you can give me would be very much appreciated? This buy will be one of my Christmas presents.

Hi, Kristi! I switched out my entire CTX video set for its entire DVD counterpart almost a year ago, and I absolutely love it. Although the series on DVD is not quite as finely chaptered as Intensity Series or the upcoming Body Blast, the way the workouts are chaptered and grouped together on two discs makes it really customer-friendly.

On the first disc you have four cardio+strength routines: Power Circuit, AllStep, 10-10-10 and Step Intervals. Each warm-up is its own chapter point; then there are various chapter points on each workout that usually signal a shift in mode or protocol (for instance: Power Circuit warm-up; Power Circuit lo-impact; Power Circuit hi-impact; PC traditional-step-circuit; PC kickbox step-circuit; PC cooldown; then strength). That's just one example. I believe the chaptering is available somewhere on this website.

On the second disc you have Kickbox, Leaner Legs and the Upper Body Split.

Especially if you want to use the cardio portions, DVD is a great buy, because you can scoot back and forth among cardios on a single disc to make the workout as long, short, mode-varied or mode-similar as you want.

Just my Point-Oh-Too . . . CTX DVD is a great stocking stuffer for yourself!

Thanks A-Jock! I knew I could count on you to give me the info I needed to hear. My mind is made up, CTX DVD here I come. I have slowly but surely been switching over to DVD and selling off my videos. A couple of weeks ago I took the plunge and bought the IS on DVD. It has made my workouts so much better with the variety. Now I only need to sell off my videos, but that is another story. I am really looking forward to the BB DVDs though. Oh the options! We are going to be so spoiled and it will be hard for any other instructor to measure up to our Cathe. It already is intensity wise. Have a great day!
