CTX 2/One Body Part per Day (Heavy)

I'd love to see another CTX2 with shorter cardios (love the intensity of Step&Intervals), paired with a 30 minute workout for each body part that really goes HEAVY. The dvd could also have an ab sections as well as a CTX Upper Body 2 maybe done in a superset style or reducing the sets by a few so that the entire workout upper body workout is an hour.

I LOVE this idea! CTX type cardio + SH type weights! So many of us seem to be finding that less cardio + increased heavy strength training is making our 40+ bodies click. I personally have used my CTX cardio & TSaver Cardio DVDs more in the last 3 months than ever along w/ heavy strength and results are amazing in my BF% reduction.
GREAT IDEA:7

Great idea. I've also found shorter cardio and heavy weights works for my 40+ body as well.

GREAT idea, but since the cardio would be so short I would want it to be super fun and super intense!!!

Here's a copy of a post I made a little over a month ago:

As Cathe's next idea was to make a four day split, I thought I'd offer up some suggestions.

Since the majority of the workouts Cathe just released are step-oriented (LIC, BM2, and DM), I thought it'd be neat if the cardio from the 4-day split would be something like the following:

Day 1: Kickboxing - Chest, Shoulders, Tris
Day 2: Cadio using the high step (intense) - Standing Lower body work and abs
Day 3: Floor-oriented intense cardio DRILLS (no step used) (sort of like the boot camp challenge portion of Kickmax - TOUGH STUFF) - Back, Bis, Core work
Day 4: Intense Hi/Lo - Floor work for lower body and abs

And here's a post I made waaaaaay back in 2003:

I LOVE the idea of heavy, serious weight training. Another thing that might be cool is a 5 day split with brief but intense cardio before hand. Something like:
#1: Heavy chest work and a 20-25 min intense step workout (could be high step!)
#2: Heavy back work and a 20-25 min intense hi/lo workout
#3: Heavy delt work and a 20-25 min interval/drill workout
#4: Heavy bis work and a 20-25 min intense kickbox workout
#5: Heavy tris work and a 20-25 min intense plyo drill workout (incorporating the med ball and lots of moves similar to Boot Camp's cardio segments)
#6: A workout that would be all legs or a leg/cardio circuit, followed by core work.

The cardios could be combined together on the premixes for those that like to do weights and cardio on different days, and there could be a two day split premix for the upper body segments.

I love this suggestion--the lineup from 2003.

I also use CTX a lot and an updated version would be fantastic. I'm another one who finds less cardio/more strength training has helped me lean out some.

I would very much like another CTX series with heavy weights. It would be even better if some of the cardio segments were low impact (but still high intensity).

I really love the idea of a five day split on the idea of CTX. So yes CTX2. Really heavy (work till failure, low reps) for body building w/some different kind of cardio every day. Arms/Shoulders/Legs/Chest/Back:)
