CrossFit-Inspired Fitness Book

I found this book while browsing the bookstore the other day and even though it may not appeal to everyone, I thought I'd pass along the info here. I'm still reading the exercise technique sections and learning things about my form that I can improve even on "simple" exercises like pushups that I have been doing forever. It has nice glossy pictures. It's a 9 week program. It says you need a squat rack and a pull bar, neither of which I have, but I'm sure I can substitute another exercise for any that use equipment I dont have yet. It discusses barefoot running as well which I found an interesting read but I'll be keeping my shoes on still ;) I'm not sure I'll do the 9 week program or use Cathe workouts to supplement it with along the way.

It isnt anything major except when I'm doing them! I simply just go down closer to the ground so that my chest is barely just touching. Before I had been going down so my chest was a few inches off the ground or where it just started feeling difficult. Just those few inches makes them so much tougher especially when doing a few more in a row. The book basically says you need to go thru more full range of motion because over time if you dont in can lead to shortening of your muscles and tightness of joints, it's obviously subtle but it makes sense to me.
