Creating Avatar - explain one more time please

I know this has probably been posted on here a gajillion times, but I have never been able to do it. I have now enlisted my super-smart, computer-savvy husband to help me (can you tell he's reading over my shoulder?). Can someone please post just one more time what I need to do to create an avatar.

You first need to create a picture trail. www.picturetrail.com is free and pretty easy to use. Register with them and upload your pictures to the picture trail. Then, copy the "address" of the picture you want as your aviator and paste it where you have your "personal settings" for this forum.

I tried to register with Picturetrail a few times and can't do it! I've even tried using different browsers but nothing works...it won't let me in...really weird!

I use photobucket.com This is a free site to upload pics as well and then you just copy/paste your address to this photo (it will be located right under the picture on photobucket) into your Avatar slot under your profile. Photobucket is really easy to use too!
