Creating a Mesocycle routine before it comes out...cardio

Can you do cardio on the day you workout with weights or the day afterwards, or both?

When I work this hard I want my muscles to show. I know to eat clean will help.

I'm just experimenting and having fun until the real deal comes through.

Hi Janie! Yes, you can do cardio the day of, the day after, and both. It all depends on what your goals are. High levels of cardio can alter your muscle recovery and also make muscles appear flat so I wouldn't suggest overdoing it but if you want a day or so more cardio on a given week then go ahead and put it in there.

Thank you so very much for this answer. I do well when I have a little extra cardio during the week. I just wanted to know the rules as much as possible before I made up a rotation. Until the real STS then, I can hardly wait!.

It would be my pleasure. I've figured out what 3 exercises I wanted to do for each body part, now all I have to do is know my 1RM then do a percentage of that and I'm set. Then Cathe's instructions for the next 12 weeks. It's close to done and I'll post it on the rotations forum.
