Creatine Recommendations

I have not picked my creatine up yet but now I can't wait to get started in using it with my Hiit and weight lifting program. Your right I don't mind gaining weight at this age if it's muscle. As I've gotten older I truly understand I would rather be strong, tight and fit than thin and weak. Besides muscle is actually more youthful looking. I am in the Bulk stage of Beast Body and I think I will do another round after this one.
 
Just a side note, I've been reading that many people take it everyday.

I think you have to try and see what works best for you. From what I've read, the loading phase is not needed so much to see results and that you can take it on on workout days only.... but it seems like you hear something different all the time!! I say experiment and see what works for you.
 
I was listening to Doctor Radio, one of my favorite channels on Sirus sat. radio, and there was a guy on there who was researching creatine, specifically how it improves people who take antidepressants, but don't have really good control of their depression/anxiety. Creatine helped with both after about 6 weeks of daily use. This man was going to do a larger study to see what the results would be, but how great would it be if a supplement which is really pretty cheap, could help people who don't get great improvement with their antidepressants.
 
The line I'm using now is pretty new to me, so haven't been using it too long, but I just feel a better pump with it if I'm doing straight weight training.. also with HIIT, I just feel like it helps my muslces not fatigue as quick, get a better burn in the muscle.. if that makes sense. I had taken creatine in pill form before too and from what I remember back then is that my muscles just felt fuller and stronger. As MomInVT said, your muscles retain water and they will feel fuller. I take amino acids with glutamine too for recovery, the other thing that I found amazing, was Beta Alanine.. I loved that stuff when I was in crossfit! I used to take ON Amino Energy drink, but quit that because it has so many artificial sweeteners and colors.. I'm trying to stay away from that now.
I use this one, I like it and feel it's helping me get my muscle back. It's a new product in this line, so I've only been using it for a short time. No artificial colors or sweeteners though and I like that. I remember wayyyyyy back in the day, they used to have this liquid creatine with a dropper, I remember seeing it in Oxygen magazine.. it was supposed to help with the bloat.. I probably just dated myself with that!! :) haha!!

I like the one I'm using now, no tummy issues.

I like Isagenix products. I just ordered Amped recovery. I haven't tried the Amped POWER yet...

I have been waiting for Amped Reocvery forever!!!!!! I had been buying non flavored aminos from Vitamin Shoppe, I hate all the chemical artificial sweeteners and colors, so I bought plain and that is just nasty.. but I would just throw it back like a shot!!! Haha!! The Isagenix NOx is good stuff too, some people think it's funky tasting and it is kinda.. but it kinda grows on you. It's pure beet juice and other vegetables that contain nitrates, this formula helps with blood flow and circulation to the muscles.. I like it. I feel like it helps with muscle fatigue too.

Dawn9222 - I considered ordering the NOx, but wasn't sure how to incorporate it. How/When do you take it? How often?
 
I just saw another article on the benefits of taking creatine, on the team beachbody page (www.teambeachbody.com). Of course, they led into their own creatine products, but the article had good info. I do like the Isagenix Amped Power. Tastes like cherry look-aid, but no artificial colors or flavors.

I just read that article on the Beachbody website and the author mentioned how it can helped post menopausal women with bone density and how people should also take a dose after exercising. The author who is a woman stated the regular dose was 5000 milligrams, I'm at 2500 so I wonder if I should go up a little.
