I caught up with personals last night, so make sure you read yesterday's thread:p

I will do cardio today, not sure what yet?

Today was Legs and Calves and I can't believe I'm saying this but I am actually liking leg days now. Not sure why? Had a great workout.

2 minutes rest between each set except only enough rest to lower weights for the 25 repper sets.

LEGS:
Squats - 60#/12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)
Squats - 100#/6 reps - 3 sets
Squats - 60#/25 reps

Leg Press Station - 175#/6 reps - 3 sets
Leg Press Station - 105#/25 reps
***This burned right in my hamstring/glute area.

Leg Extensions - 80#/6 reps - 3 sets
Leg Extensions - 45#/25 reps
***Another good burn. Could have gone heavier with all sets.

Elevated Deadlifts - 90#/6 reps - 3 sets
***I didn't do the 25 repper with this. I feel that is way too strenuous on the low back. And my low back is fussy.

Lying Leg Curls - 45#/6 reps - 1 set
Lying Leg Curls - 55#/6 reps - 2 set
Lying Leg Curls - 30#/25 reps
***55# was almost too heavy, should have went with 50#. But got a great burn. My hamstrings will be sore tomorrow.

CALVES:
Standing Barbell Calf Raises - 115#/25 reps - 4 sets
***I did toes forward, toes out, toes in and toes forward with these. Really got a great burn here.

Getting some good rain today. We really need it.

Tonite for me is HiiT 15 Class and Sculpt 30 Class. The core work I did last night really was a great workout I can definetly feel it today.

Belinda-your Drs. really are confusing.

Good morning.

It was 48 degrees when I brought DD to school this morning...brrrrr. I actually put my summer clothes away last night. So sad...:( STS D18 was AWESOME last night. Felt really strong and had great form. Tonight is Athletic Step.

Belinda - nice job on catching up with personals. I'm doing STS. Started with Meso 2 and I'm loving it. Wow, some confusing diagnosis coming at you. Good luck.

Debbie - nice leg workout! What leg press machine do you have if you don't mind my asking...

Chris - how's Buddy today?

Heather - nice job making the best of the gym's equipment. Bet you can't wait to get back home to your usual equipment.

Hey ladies - I'm behind today, again. AND I have yet to get my workout in today - this is the third time this week I've not gotten up at the usual 5:20 (or earlier) time. I did take a rest day which is part of it but the other two days I think was a combination of hating hard dark/chilly it's been in the AM and the fact that I just don't want to face another day at my job. As sad as that sounds. :( I'm TRYING to make the best of it so have resorted to seeking out the little joys in the day. For today - it was snuggling under extra blankets for another hour with Scott and looking forward to a good run this afternoon after work. It's not easy but so far it seems to be working for today. I'll take what I can get at this point!

I'll be back later for personals - but it might not be until tomorrow. Keep rocking those workouts!

Snuggling under extra blankies with your DH is definetly worth postponing your workout this a.m.!!!

I feel your pain, Jessica. I don't feel like that about my job every day. For the most part I'm fine once I get in to work, but I've had to focus on the little joys as well. The simple act of getting my coffee halfway through my commute every morning carries me through. Then when work gets to me during the day, I try to focus on what is on tap for the night: workout, watching DD ROCK the soccer field at practice, etc. Whatever works!!
 
Hi ladies. This morning I got up and did back and LIC cardio premix + abs. It was SO nice working out with my own "stuff."

I did a tri set 3x10 and then a superset of 2x16

TS
Pullovers - 30
Underhand dumbbell rows - 30's
Single arm rows - 30's

SS
Lat band pulldowns
Lower back extensions on ball

Here's today's workout:

Circuit Max= 60 Min
Calories burned= 614
Met Value= 7.50

Stretch Max- Stability Ball Stretching= 20 Min
Met Value= 2.50
Calories burned= 68

Ab Hits #6 From S&H Bi's & Tri's= 8 Min
Calories burned= 55
Met Value= 5.0

Total Calories burned from today's workout= 737;)

Hi Girls...

Late check in for me! Buddy has kept me very busy, plus we have a big birthday bash party on Saturday (to celebrate my 3 boys' September birthdays, with all their friends and our families) to get ready for! Not to mention the "regular" crap, like laundry and supper and dishes, etc. :confused:

today I did one of the new workouts I got, called PEAK 10 Cardio Intervals. It was pretty cool! Different, it builds up the cardio until the "peak" at the end, which is some big plyo/jump move. For 5 cycles, 1 hour! I liked it alot!

I also took Buddy for a walk at the park this afternoon, AFTER giving him a bath! the foster mom who had him said she didn't believe in bathing dogs , she said it "stripped their natural oils". But Buddy was quite STINKY! *shudder*. My DH and I washed him outside (it was warm out today) with the hose. He LOVED it! Like he was getting a spa! The park, he pulled me around in 1/2 hour! usually takes more!! He's now passed out cold. I'm still 'working'.

Nora: Nice workout yesterday AND Circuit Max today! there's an oldie!!! Are you backing off a little from TF? ... yes, the dog is a great "toy" for the boys. They all have a blast together. He's 8 though. You wouldn't know it from the crazy energy he has!

Roxie: HiiT 15 is much harder than 20, don't you think? I love it! How are you liking TF sculpt?

Belinda: Wow. What a frustrating thing to have this ENT tell you something different. If it were me, I think I'd go with her way of thinking. Since apparently the OTHER way has not given you any cure or long term relief, right? ... Awwww... didn'tknow you had a lab too! Are both your dogs labs? (you have 2, right?)

Debbie: NICE leg workout today, I do not enjoy doing legs so much, so when I do , it's a gift! :)

Melissa: Nice job with STS and then AS today!!! I know, it was super cold this morning, but the sun was SOOOOOO nice and warm this afternoon here!

Jessica: I love snuggling under blankets when it's a little chilly too! Good idea to enjoy the little things!

Heather: YAYAYAYAYA!!!! for being home and working out at home again! I do hate hotel dreadmills too. That's the only time I ever used a treadmill, actually, and I hated it!

must go do more laundry...:(

Roxie- Oh I'm so thrilled for you I hope you had fun doing HiiT 15 Class and Sculpt 30 Class today. I really enjoy the HiiT classes and the Sculpt 30 I found was not too much to do on my non STS days. Plus the sculpting is easy to take on the road with you because of the tubing, its excuse proof. It may not be as intense as cathe's weight workouts but it will tone the muscles a bit and that helps. I always like learning options to workouts and learning new stuff all the time. I hope you had fun with Turbo Fire today!;):)

Melissa- You are doing a great job with STS and I'm so happy for you with your success. Wow, your tackling Athletic step today, I know that is fun and challenging but nice thing is that it doesn't take a long time it keeps you busy and working hard then its over. I know you got a great workout from that one! WTG!!:D

Jessica- no worries about your workout schedule varying and not as scheduled as you would like. I know your training for a half marathon and I say do what your body feels likes as you are training and running preparing for that race. Its not suprising that your body would crave more rest given how hard its been working training for that marathon. I wish you all the best with the half marathon, your amazing!:);):cool:

Heather- I know what you mean. I'm so used to working out at home now I think I'd really feel out of sorts having to wait to use equipment or disappointed that the equipment is not up to par. I bet you were so relieved and happy to be home working out with your stuff when you wanted where you wanted. Welcome back!:D Wow, tri sets and Supersets for you today, that's awesome girl WTG, way to rock that workout!:eek:;)

Chris- Oh wow, your planning a birthday party bash for you 3 boys who all have birthdays in September, yep that will keep ya busy. ;) Ah, your as bad as me loving to tryout new workouts. I checked out Michelle Dozois Peak 10 Cardio Interval burn. Wow, looks awesome you might have sold me on getting that one, but I'm broke just now. I'll put it on my wish list. No, I have not backed off of TF. Today, according to the TF Class Schedule was only Stretch 40 Class. I can't stand not working out more, so I changed it up a bit. I wanted to try out my brand new Circuit Max I got in Monday's mail wow, is that a killer sweat fest of a workout, I loved it!!! I've been having really bad monthly problems started monday and its been semi scary almost ER worthy. Working out is a bit of a challenge when feeling so weak but I still do it. It sounds like your plenty busy these days with kids, work, and buddy that is. I'm sure buddy enjoyed his bath and loved the walk in the park. He sounds like a great addition to your family, WTG!! I love dogs!! Great workout today BTW, that looks killer!;):)
