Hi girls!
Ok take two on personals. Thank you to everyone expressing well wishes and or concern. I'm hanging in there its just been tough for me to fight through this above and beyond my usual MS fatigue I've had lately.
Belinda- You are killing me with those killer heavy weights you are lifting. WTG, you are wonder woman. Awesome weights today and awesome workout, you rocked it!
Debbie- Wow woman! You rocked that workout and the weights big time, cudo's!!
You are amazing girl with those heavy weights and a fabulous inspiration for us all. Bravo!!!
Heather- Congrats on your four mile group run! That does sound like fun, good for you to get that run in. If you can do weights tonight that's just gravy, awesome job. Thanks for your well wishes. I am feeling a little better today.
Roxie- Great job on TF 45EZ and Stretch 10 and also getting abs in there, I know its not always easy so bravo to you. Nice workout today, WTG!
Jessica- I hope the little one took it easy on Auntie today. Babies are so cute and fun, ok except when they cry and you wish there was a mute button. Now, there's a million dollar idea, right there
Just kidding. My babies are now 14 and soon to be 16 years old. The youngest was collicky (sp?) up to age 3. Can you say sleep deprived much, LOL!!! He'd only sleep if he was being held and rocked and if there was no noise or white noise in the room, ugh talk about tough. I hope all is well with your sis and her baby. Cudo's to you for getting in a nice run in the midst of all that you have going on just now, WTG!!! Hang in there with your job, I know some bosses or jobs really push one to their limits. It sounds like the baby is lucky to have such amazing aunties.
Chris- I had not seen the David Osmond interview on The Today show, but I did check it out online and watched the video of his interview. I agree with everything he said, it was a very honest interview. I know that for myself living with MS its not easy and every day is an unknow in terms of what physical abilities you will have from day to day. When I first had my attack of MS it was my balance being non-existant impairing my walking to the point I walked like I was a knock down drag out drunk. I also could not use my right hand to grip anything at all and not even write my name. Losing your ability to be well, you to function is a very sobering thing. MS has taught me that movement is a gift even if it is with pain, which is my daily reminder that I'm not like everyone else. MS, is a disability that may not always be obvious to others. I know that it bothers me when people say oh but you look so good you aren't diabled, or you can't be disabled because your not in a wheel chair. I, like David Osmond have ongoing pain which is now my new normal. I too have been told by my neurologist that my MS appears to be in remiscient. That can change at any time. When I was first diagnosed my decline was so rapid and severe, that my doctor was concerned I'd be in a wheel chair and need a home nurse to look after me. I was determined to fight the best way I could when my doctor told me that exercise in MS patients can help improve strength and balance. I've been on a mission ever since. I do my best to workout daily no matter what. My mornings may be a struggle to get my legs to work to walk into the next room but I do what I need to get my legs functioning so I can workout. I am on a MS treatment drug, Avonex, and that has been beneficial to me but I still have to fight on.
Regarding your fun recovery week workouts today, they sound like fun. Just the sort of light workouts and great stretching. Turbo Jam may seem a bit nostalgic after doing TF but still lots of fun and great music. Its all good and the TF stretch 40 is really great and always feels so good when your done, great job on today's workout.
Thanks for your kind well wishes as well.
Melissa- Wow, its been a crazy busy day for you. Maybe, it would be a good day to take a unschedule day to rest. I know that upperbody is tough, trust me I have doms still from PUB done Monday. I feel your pain on that one. Maybe its better to take a night off and rest then get back into it the next day. Either way I know you'll be your usual amazing workout amazon cathlete that you are. Have a good night
Ok girls, Phew! I was finally able to do personals. I guess the spirit is willing but the hands are not sort of thing is what's goingon with me. MS, is never boring that's for sure.
