Crazy strong & loving it for Nov 9, 2010

Hi ladies. SO sorry to be MIA. I was trying to type in thecathenation.com/forum and the page wasn't found. I totally missed the url change I guess. Anyway, quick recap: Saturday DH and I ran 10 miles, Sunday I ran 5.5, yesterday I did shoulders/triceps and MMA Boxing.

SS#1 - 3x8
Overhead press - 20's
Overhead triceps extension - 30 (felt very weak)

SS#2 - 3x10
Lateral raise - 12's
Double-arm kickbacks - 12's

SS#3 - 3x8
Upright rows - 20's (probably could have done 21's)
Lying triceps extensions - 16's

Alternating shoulder press to failure (12 each side) - 15's
Weighted triceps dips to failure (20) - 30

Today I plan on doing biceps and abs at lunch (maybe biceps and back) then DH and I are planning to join the running group after work for 4 miles. They do have a 6-mile route if we can figure it out or find the group that takes that one.

Hope everyone is doing well. I feel so out of touch :(
 
Well after last night's awesome STS workout, I woke up this AM and did STS legs with my trusty patella straps (yes, I now have one for each knee, boo) and followed that with abs from B&G. Great workout, my abs really felt it today too. And luckily, my knees did great even doing the lunges (which I'm still doing with no wts to avoid hurting myself). Hopefully this is a good sign. :)

Heather - too funny. I was seriously wondering what happened to you! you're always active on the forums! You totally missed out. Just kidding. ;) Have fun on the group run tonight, seriously jealous! Enjoy!

Jessica - Sounds like a great workout. I haven't done abs from B&G in ages, but always liked doing the floorwork + abs premix. I wonder if the reason everyone seems to be missing is the url thing????? Maybe I'm not the only one who missed the memo.

Quickie check in for me right now. My boys had 1/2 day of school and are home now!. For cardio day I did Turbo Fire 55 EZ! Sweat buckets, reached "spit" status, had fun! I decided to work my way down the stack of my DVDs for ab workouts. Today's was Muscle Max Abs. KILLER jack knifes into in and outs. KILLED my hip of all things! :eek:

Belinda: CCC! Good one! TOUGH one!!!

Roxie: YAY for a good night's sleep! Nice workout planned for tonight!

Heather: You've been getting your run on, huh? Good for you! The running group sounds like a lot of fun! enjoy!

Jessica: Meso 2 is definitely my favorite too! I have some HUGE DOMS from yesterfday's Chest, SHoulders, Triceps. OUCH!

Oh that's right, Melissa is traveling this week, I'd forgotten!

*waves* to Nora!. Nice HUGE workout yesterday! I know, it's also dark at 5pm here too! I need to try to get some outside time in more when it's light out. I'm getting a bit of S.A.D , which I NEVER had before... ugh!

I just found out some terribly sad news that my friend's husband passed this morning after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. My heart is just breaking for her right now.

Heather - So sorry to hear about your friends husband. How truly sad that is. My prayers to the family.

I just finished up my workout. I finished PUB earlier before 1pm or so but had to get ready to get youngest from school. So I waited to do the Cardio until just a bit ago. Probably a nice long rest betwen PUB and TF cardio, LOL.

Here's today's workout:

Pyramid Upper Body= 57 Min
Calories burned= 550
Met Value= 6.50

Turbo Fire-Fire 45 EZ Class=47 Min
Met Value= 8.50

Total Calories burned from today's workout= 1095:eek::cool::D

Notice I didn't do any add-ons to the workout today, PUB as usual does me in regardless of being a 2X grad of STS. Oh well, I'll be back later this evening for personals. Seeya all in a little while. I hope everyone had an awesome day and a slammin' workout today. :)

Heather - wtg, on your weight workout today. I am sourry to hear about your friends husband ((HUGS))) My mom dpassed away with pancreatic cancer.I hate the word cancer. Wished they would find a cure for it! My BIL dad is battling cancer too. He started treatment this week. So sad! ((HUGS))

Debbie - glad you enjoy your recovery week. What plans do you have for next week?:eek:

Heather- You go girl on the running, that's some serious mileage runs, WTG!! You are doing amazing with running and the weights and the other workouts you manage to get in there like MMA Boxing. You are such an inspiration, Bravo on all your workouts keep up he amazing job!;):cool:

Jessica- Congrats on surviving STS workout last night and then STS legs today. Ab work on Butts and Guts is really intense and effective, and I love that there are two ab section on there one of them is a bonus both are different. Yay, that the knee patella straps are helping to keep your knees happy and pain free while exercising. I have those straps too, sometimes I need to wear them faithfully while workingout others not at all. Its just weird that way. Oh well, awesome job on your STS workouts, WTG girl!!:D:cool:

Belinda- Bravo on doing Cardio Core Circuit, that's a tough workout and to me it feels like a HiiT workout but a bit longer. Its great though, so I know you got a great workout in today. WTG, Belinda keep on rockin' those workouts like you are girl!:):D

Chris- Bravo on achieving spit status with TF Fire 55 EZ, I love that workout its my fave. Wow, its been awhile since I've done Muscle Max or the abs section on there, but that sounds super challenging like a Abs Dom guarantee is promised. Good idea to mix things up by doing different ab work only from different cathe dvd's that you have, that's an excellent idea. Great workout today, you go girl!:):cool:;)

Debbie- Its nice that you checked in with us on your rest week. I hope your enjoying your rest day and sleeping in when you can etc... Savor the rest week. ;):cool:
