Good morning,

I will do cardio today, not sure what yet:eek: I was gonna go to the gym, the roads are really bad.

I will be back to report my workout and I will catch up on personals:)

Hallo girls,

I am done with Insanity " Plyometric Cardio Circuit" 45 min. That was insane! I will mix Insanity with Debbie's rotation. I am not ready to do a full Insanity rotation, with out any weight training. I need something that will kick my butt for the winter that I can do at home. It's getting tough going to the gym with the roads beeing slippery, plus they will close the gym with these kinda road conditons:mad: Kids were home around 2 pm.....they close the schools!

I will shower and eat lunch, BBL!

Today was cardio and I just hopped on my treadmill and did a steady state. When I first started I thought I would jog for a quarter mile, then walk at a fast pace on a high incline for a quarter mile and alternate the two. Was able to do that 4 times until my inner thigh started to really hurt. I can't win, I swear. If it isn't my knee with step, it's my inner thigh with the treadmill. No wonder I don't want to do cardio anymore.

Anyways, I stayed on my treadmill doing a steady state for another 15 minutes. I also did the Ab Work from the new STS Phase 4 DVD. I liked it, Cathe is top notch with ab workouts.

Happy with the calorie burn at least!
 
Just stopping by to say that last night I did not do any cardio. Today I plan on biceps and abs and I may try to do MMA Boxing.

Debbie - I can definitely see why you don't want to do any cardio. Do you like cycling?

Belinda - I soooo want to try Insanity. I would use it for cardio workouts like you though - not do the full rotation/program.

Nora - hope your injury heals quickly too. Nice job with your workout. I've never attempted that workout actually.

Well last night's STS chest/shoulders/triceps workout was awesome! As if I should be surprised. I clearly went up a lot more on my weights than I realized (esp in chest) as I was a shaky mess by the end! In a good way. ;-) Today I somehow fell back to sleep for twenty mins after the alarm went off so I only had time to do STS legs and a few mins of abs (had intended to do Core Fusion after legs. doh!). I'm planning to fix the lack of ab work by doing Ride tomorrow morning and Core Fusion after work. That's the plan anyway. ;)

Debbie - that is so frustrating about your injuries! I would be ready to give up on cardio too...I hope you heal soon! Good job getting it done, though, regardless.

Heather - I'm proud of you for avoiding the cardio last night. I know it wasn't an easy choice for you but a smart one, nonetheless. The more you rest, the faster you'll heal :)

Belinda - insanity huh? I've been tempted by it but would only do it for the cardio, like you said. I may be tempted to splurge for the winter but we'll see.

Belinda - You getting snow now? It's suppose to snow here later this week. :eek: Not sure I'm ready for that! I didn't know you had Insanity. How are you liking it?

Heather - Not sure about the cycling. It might be the next thing I'll have to purchase, though. If these kinds of pains keep up, I won't have much choice. And I understand what you meant yesterday when you said it's boring being on a treadmill. I think once you are use to running in the outdoors, running inside would suck. I hope your knee is feeling better.

Jess - Nice job with STS! It's fun to see how much stronger we get with that rotation.

Nora - I can relate with your ankle pain. When I twisted mine it took a good while for it to heal. I was able to do my workouts after about 2 days, but if I twisted it a certain it still hurt. Hope yours gets better soon! Nice job with BM! I'll need to dig that one out again. I remember the step part was fun.

Last night ended up being Chest & Back. Love working Back!! Nice and toasty today...:cool: Tonight I'm going to a yoga class. Just a regular-temperature class. I'm going to take one more heated class on Saturday (even though I didn't love it last weekend) then decide if I want to continue since my "new member" membership will be expired.

Belinda - I made the Chicken Tortilla Soup recipe that Cathe posted a couple of weeks ago. It's good. Even better today than it was yesterday. I didn't love the hot yoga class over the weekend. Not even sure I can say I liked it. I'm going to give it one more try this weekend and see if it's starting to grow on me.

Debbie - Cardio Coach workouts on a stationary bike are completely AWESOME. Just sayin'...;)

Jessica - nothing wrong with being a shaky mess!!

Nora - holy calorie burn yesterday.

I'm having a slight pity-party for myself today and I'm going to vent a tad. It's all superficial girl crap. First and worst: I started using retin-A on my skin. I am 39 after all and starting to see some wear and tear...:p The skin is just flaking off my face. Which is good to a point, but man it's a little scary. I better end up with baby-butt skin in a couple of weeks. Second: I'm growing my hair. And it is growing like a weed. Thankfully, because I am extremely impatient and it takes very little to convince me to chop it all off. However, I have my hair highlighted and it looks like I constantly have roots. NOT COOL. And I just got it done 3 weeks ago! I am so tempted to go to Rite-Aid and just color my hair back to brown.

So to sum it all up, my face is falling off and my hair looks like crap. All self-inflicted, I know, but it still makes me cranky!!!
 
LOL Melissa - I'm sorry but that "my face is falling off" comment is hysterical. NOT that I'm making light of your vent session, I swear! You are fully within your right to vent. I do it all the time to you ladies. Vent away!!

PS. Don't you love back DOMS?? I don't always get them so when I do I know I worked them good!! It happened last week with STS so hoping for the same this week when I do back again :)

Melissa - What does Retin A do? I thought it lightens up dark spots? And as for hair growing slow - tell me about it. I am on year 3 and my hair is finally touching my shoulders. I had spikey hair, though, it couldn't have been 1/4" at its longest. I take prenatal vitamins and they help ALOT. You might want to give that a try.
 
Melissa - I totally needed that chuckle! I hear you on needing to vent even if it's silly sounding. It does indeed still add up.

Jessica & Heather - if I could laugh along with you I would, but it hurts my skin to laugh. And my face would probably crack!! Yeah, that's how dry it is...:eek: Oh and yes Jessica, I love back DOMS!! I never had back doms until I started STS.

Debbie - Retin A is mainly for wrinkles, but I think it does help with dark spots as well. A few years ago I did a regimine called Obagi and an option was to mix a mild bleaching agent in with the Retin A to lighten the skin. I'm going to check on the prenatal vitamin suggestion, thanks! I wish I could fall asleep and wake up with long hair. Growing it is pure torture! Are you happy that you've grown yours out?
 
Sorry I've been MIA! Saturday I called out from work. Zach had really bad blood sugars and I was up ALL night Friday night with him. I was so exhausted on Saturday and his sugars STILL weren't right. So I stayed home. My body ACHED from being so tired. I had NO qualms whatsoever about not working out.

On Sunday I did Michelle Doziol's Peak 10 Cardio Interval. REALLY good workout, you guys! I'm kind of picky with my cardios (spoiled by Cathe) , this one is definitely up there with them though!

I worked Sunday night. Yesterday I did Turbo Fire 45 EZ. It was tough on 4 hours sleep! But fun! Haven't done this one in a long time and I forgot how kickin the music was!!

TODAY, I went to the park in the COLD gloom of a day for a run! It was trememdous, of course. If I can talk myself into going outside, I NEVER regret running and I ALWAYS feel so exhilirated!

Now that I've babbled on and on about me, I have to go deliver my son's newspapers...he's going for a check up at the Endocrinologist with his dad...

I'll try to BBL to catch up with your workouts!!!

Fun workout today, but low back was bugging me so I had to be careful.

STS Ab Circuits- Medicine Ball Abs= 10 Min

Met Value= 4.50

Total calories burned from today's workout= 558;)


Ok, that's it for me today. I'm worn out I had to get up early to take the kids to school so DH could get a little sleep before going to Doctor appointment that was a surgical consult for hernia surgery. He was nervous about the appointment, but they explained everything to him and his surgery is set for December 9th at 7:30 am. Oh boy, and I have dr. appointment with new doctor about MS check up.

Debbie - we got like 8 inches of snow and it's still coming down! I had Insanity since May, had to stop beause of my back problems and sinus! I almost forgot I had it! So far I like it, I was sweating buckets! Like I said I will mix it with weight training.

Nora - how is your ankle feeling? Nice job on DM and STS Ab wo today. Sorry to hear DH needs surgery! ((HUGS))

Meliissa - I need to check out that recipe! Nice job, on your workout. ((HUGS))) vent away, girl!
