Good morning,

I will do cardio today, haven't decited if I want to go for a run or do a DVD:eek:

I will be back to report my workout. My best to all.

Good morning,

Workout is done! Took the dogs for a 45 min run, they didn't do to bad for the first time in months;) They are wiped:eek: And yes, I did work my abs today, wasn't gonna came back here and not report a ab workout:p:p I did Core Max "Complite Core #2" premix 21 min. I will not skip my abs this week, Roxie:p!

See you all later! Have a good one!

It is March 29th and it's 17 degrees outside right now!

Today was cardio and for some odd reason I could not wait to workout. I chose Amy Bento's Kickbox Surge and had a really great workout. I did all of the kickboxing segments and surges but I had to skip the last surge due to time. I wanted to get the stretch in.

CARDIO STATS:
1 hr. 5 minutes total
2 minutes below zone
13 minutes in zone
50 minutes above zone
555 calories burned!

Hi ladies. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do. I ended up going out for a 6.2 mile run.

The weather here is supposed to be stormy and crappy (again). Seriously what happened to spring?

Debbie - 17 degrees???? Glad you had a good cardio session at least.

Belinda - nice job with the run. I bet the dogs are going to snooze all day.

Waves to Roxie, Chris & Nora!!!! Can't wave to Jess as she's living it up in Jamaica this week

Hi Girls!

Today on the rotation was IMAX 2. But my calf told me not to do it! ;) So I did Bob's Body Rev Cardio Conditioning. I REALLY like this one! I REALLY like Bob. It was an hour of cardio , with weight swings, some light weight shoulder work, push ups, cardio squats, finishing with a little core work too. I did get to puke status once and was DRIPPING sweat. The only thing that gets me is the background exercisers are TOTAL wimps. The one guy is always stopping and "crying". It's kind of funny, but Bob yells at him too!

I'm going to have my hair cut and highlighted. I'm going back to bangs (wispy) and heavy blonde highlights for the summer. AND shorter. I'm excited!!

Nice job on the run, I'm sure your doggies loved that you took them , Belinda! This rotation has me working abs FOUR times a week. I'm really liking the extra core work and feeling stronger. I'm going to keep it up next month.

Nice to hear you were EXCITED about your cardio today, Debbie! I know, it's cold here too (20's this morning). I'm sooo in need of 60 or 70. I'm sooo tired of goosebumps and feeling like I'm in a refrigerator!

Heather: I'm still not wanting to run. Too cold for me to push myself outside to do it. I will live vicariously through you until I can! Jamaica. Oh my. so jealous. I bet jess is having an umbrella drink soaking up the sun, right now as I type this!

Nora: Great job on the workouts yesterday!!! wow! you did tough ones!! I love the bonus heavy bag boxing segment. You're doing great! Oh, I think I asked you before, maybe not. What do you have that suspension thingie tied up to? And is it really stable? Just wondering...

better get showered!!! :)

Chris - hope you post some hair pics on FB! Glad you liked that workout. I've heard really positive things about his DVDs so I'm really intrigued.

Heather, His DVDs are pretty cheap too. Can't beat it! I actually ordered his newest one, Ultimate Cardio Body. It should be here any day!. ... Ummm... I'll only post pictures of my new hair if I'm not crying when I get home! LOL!

Debbie - I wanted to get your thoughts on a workout plan. The total body workout is just not working for me right now. I just can't even get excited about it and that stinks b/c I've really enjoyed it in the past.

Anyway, I was thinking of maybe doing 2 upper body days and 1 lower body sort of based around similar sets/reps as total body. But, do you think that's any better than just splitting out upper and doing only once a week? I was thinking of 2 exercises for each upper muscle one day doing 3x5 then the next workout doing 3x8 (with probably 3-4 days in between the 2 upper sessions).

This should work I would think. So are you saying you would be working each muscle group once a week?

Like Bi's, Tri's and Shoulders one day, Back and chest another and then legs on a 3rd day?

Debbie - I was actually thinking 2 full upper workouts. But that might be too much perhaps? It'd mean working each muscle group twice a week.

Tues: all upper

Wed: cardio

Thurs: legs

Fri: Rest

Sat or Sun: all upper again

What about Monday's? I think that would work if you keep enough rest time between both upper body workouts. At least two days.

Debbie - I was thinking there would likely be 3 days perhaps between the upper body workouts giving plenty of time for the muscles to rest. Monday would probably be a cardio day. Of course, I want it to be a little bit flexible so that if the weather is nice one day but not another, I can switch it around some.

I didn't know if 2 fairly heavy upper workouts was overkill. Maybe one should be the 3-5 or 8 range and the other more like 3x10? Or I may just have to keep the splits like back/bi then tri/should/chest. (sorry for rambling LOL)

I would definitely play with the reps. You don't want to put your body under too much stress with each workout and 5 reps is killer. So vary the ranges and your rest time.

Chris- to answer your question there is a big red oval shaped weighted anchor on it, and that is what goes over a door etc.., and anchors that when the door is shut so you have the useable straps on the other side of the door for you to use. Here's a link http://secure.monkeybargym.com/jungle-gym-xt-0 I really love mine. It does have loop in it that allows to slip in around the object its to be anchored to such as monkey bars at a playground or a tree limb the weighted anchor will secure the loop safely and you can then use the jungle gym XT Suspension training system. Check out the link to get a better idea or you can even email them or post a question on their website message board thingy. I hope that helps.
