Crazy, Strong & Loving It for Jan. 20

Today was Total Body and I had a great workout. LOVE THIS ROTATION!!!

Today was 4 sets of 8 reps with 1 min. 30 second rest between each set.

Arnold Press - 25's
***This was a challenge towards the last two sets. Almost didn't make the 8 reps.

Hack Squats - 75#
***Haven't done this one in a long time. First set was awkward but then I got the hang of it with the last 3 sets. Legs were robbly after I was done.

Incline Dumbbell Curls - 20's
***Felt great, got a great contraction and did the movement slowly.

Overhead Tricep Extension - 35#
***This was a good weight for this exercise.

Incline Barbell Press - 85#
***Good challenging weight. Haven't done this exercise in a long time too.

T-Bar Row - 60#
***Really felt this in my upper lats. Concentrated on the contraction.

Was going to do abs but ran out of time. I need to get up about 15 minutes earlier. I hate running out of time.

Hi ladies. Not sure what I'll do today to be honest. Still sore from weights the other day.

Debbie - Good job with the workout!

Chris - I meant to mention that one of the reasons I like the HiiT pyramid is b/c of the no equipment factor too. I also have done just the cardio premix from Cardio Core Circuit for another no equipment workout. Kind of nice not having to drag out the step or other random items.

Hey Girls!

I'm about to go do 4DS Legs adding on the floorwork from Legs & Glutes. No calves. My calves are too sensitive ;)

Debbie: Nice weight work today! And always a plus when you enjoy it. Did your soreness get better?

Heather: Could your DOMS be from your sickies? It might be general body soreness from being sick. I know it's sometimes hard to differentiate the two. ... What a good idea on the Cardio Core Circuit. I wonder how that workout would be doing all the cardio first, and then doing the core alone? I just remember having the hardest time going from those intervals to the more complex core work. What do you think?

*waves* to all to follow today... will BBL!

Chris - enjoy your workout! I was thinking that it may be sickly achy on top of the DOMS. Kind of a 2-for-1 deal. Triceps are definitely from weights though! As for the cardio core circuit, that may work quite well. I too had major issues switching between the 2 (remember my mentioned seem burn on rear?).

Good Morning,

I did get a workout in last night but DH wanted to snuggle so I didn't get it recorded. Tonite is EBs Fat Burning Pilates. I am seeing inches disappear but my wt. is going up strange.

Debbie-glad you enjoyed your workout. Maybe you can do abs later today.

Chris-nice workout.

Heather-maybe you need a week off.

Wendy - Nice job with Drill Max yesterday! I don't believe I've ever done that workout.

Nora - I keep meaning to tell you that yes, I have been using the corn pillows since all this started. And it has helped me a great deal. I love them. I especially love how long they stay warm. My dh loves them too, when he has headaches he warms one up and wraps it around his neck. He says it relieves the pain like nothing else. Yesterday I was able to use them twice after I got home from work so today I'm feeling pretty good. The pain isn't totally gone, but it feels better. They smell so good too, they always make me want popcorn. LOL!

Chris - The soreness is better but not gone. I think this will take weeks for it to completely go away. I'm hoping all the heating, stretching and I'll be using a foam roller soon will make it get better. Weird thing is this pain doesn't hinder my weight training, only cardio.

Roxie - I will have every intention on doing abs later but it won't happen. I will do something for my abs tomorrow. :)

Good morning!

I did end up doing Hiit Pyramid with my youngest DD last night. After the warm up when Cathe says "lets workout now" or something like that, my DD was like "what?!? I thought we were going to stretch now! That was just a warm up?" LOL! Then during one of the cycles she says, "oh, this song is on Shrek". She is so much fun! She modified a few things but kept at it all the way through!
Unfortunately, she woke up with a tummy ache this morning and is staying home from school. Hopefully it won't turn into anything...??
I'll check back later after today's workout. I think I might do MMA Fusion again - loved it! That's a great idea to separate the Cardio from the Core on CCC! I'll have to try that.
See ya.....

Good Evening,

Tonite I did EBs Fat Burning Pilates.

Stats:
43 min
14 in the zone
114 min hr
146 max hr
180 cals burned.

First time doing this and I wasn't happy with the calorie burn.

Checking in -
Tonight I did MMA Kickbox. This is a great workout! I added 35 min on the recumbent bike for a little steady state non-impact calorie burn. Hopefully I'll get some weights in tomorrow. I work and then have DD's bball practice.
Roxie - sometimes the intial calorie burn is not there - but you're doing great things for your body.
Hello to Nora! It's still so windy here! You getting wind there?
Good night..

I'm so exhausted from cleaning the house and working out I hope you guys can forgive me if I'm too fatigued to leave personals tonight.

Tomorrow I hope to have more energy and do personals too. In short I hope everyone is feeling better as I recall some of you weren't. I also hope as always that you all had a great workout today and will have a nice relaxing evening and good nights sleep.

Hugs to everyone and extra hugs and well wishes to our Belinda!;):)
