Good morning,

I will do cardio plus abs today!

Today I my DS's 22nd bithday! I wished I could be with him today:(

Have a wonderful day and workout, girls!

Morning,

I did an oldie but goody today. I chose the org. IMAX:D That one is fun! need to pull it out more often:eek: I also did the abs from Ab Circuit "Medicine Ball Abs" 10 min! If DH comes home early this evening maybe I can do the partner one too? We will see!

Work it, girls! I will be back later!

Someone on another checkin that I'm on suggested that my knee problem could have something to do with my inner thigh problem I have when I get on my treadmill - it's the same side. She told me to foam roll my legs and hips out and see if that help. So last night I foam rolled my left side and I can't believe the difference I feel today. Knee still isn't 100% but at least I can bend it. I felt each tight muscle as I rolled and I can't believe it. I just don't feel like my muscles are tight when I move around throughout the day. They are, and I think I'm damaging them by not keeping them flexible.

So I've decided to incorporate yoga into my fitness routine. I remember how good I felt when I was doing yoga on a consistent basis, I just need to figure out how to add it in. With my current rotation it will be easy so I'll start Saturday or next week, depending on how the knee feels. I will also start foam rolling on a consistent basis in the evenings while I'm watching TV. It only takes 5-10 minutes and I'm quite sure I can muster up that time.

Tired of being tight and in pain....

And thanks to everyone else for listening to me complain about all these pains. I just need to start doing something about it and I know what I have to do. I'm actually looking forward to doing yoga again. I'll just have to get it worked into my routine. It is doable.

Debbie - hope the foam roller helps! Mine is sitting in the coner, I could use it for my lower back:rolleyes:Have you hear about yogatoday? Once a week they offer a free class. I like it a lot! I was tired of the same old yoga DVD's! Here is the webside: www.yogatoday.com YOu do need to became a member, it's all free. Unless you decited you want to buy a workout, they have tons of different yoga classes. You also can find them on youtube, they have lots off one hour free classes. I used their hip opener, that one is fantastic! :D

Waves Hallo to the rest of the gang!

Sooo I haven't decided if today will be a rest day or not. originally it was going to be (so sore from running last night after core fusion) but now that I'm home AGAIN (my boss literally told me to stay put because it's so icy, amazing, right??) I would have time to get to a Kick class or even TRX again tonight. So I'm tempted to do that and rest tomorrow or Saturday. What to dooooo. Decisions, decisions!

Belinda - answering your question from last nite, I'm doing a self-imposed "core fusion challenge" for the month of february. all core fusion workouts (mostly the DVDs but I will try to go to some of the classes too) to focus on my core and gaining strength there which I desperately need. I'm mixing that with a couple days of cardio but that is IT. Nothing else. No other weights aisde from what they do in these workouts (very light weights or just body weight) It's definitely very different for me but I'm really liking how strong I'm already feeling in my core which I SO need!

Debbie - how ironic. I came to the same realization myself. That my lack of flexibility (and no desire to focus on it up on this point) is not good. I can't even touch my toes, all this core fusion is showing me that I am inflexible to the point of damage if I don't make a change. So I'm REALLY glad I"m doing the core fusion challenge because it incorporates a bunch of stretching...but I also think I need to do regular old yoga too. It's SO not something I usually gravitate towards but it's time. We're in this together, right??

Well last night I ended up doing biceps, shoulders, triceps then abs from High Reps (with weighted gloves). I did my workout in trisets of 3x8:

Today is supposed to be a run:
5-6 miles, 4 x 1:30 hill intervals, 6 pickups.

Nora - um rest day???? ;)

Belinda
- I don't think I've ever done the original IMAX - or maybe I started it and never finished LOL

Debbie - I am a HUGE advocate of foam rollers. I seriously think it's the only thing that has saved my IT band. We actually got a kit for low back/hips - called a Triggerpoint Kit.

Hi to everyone!!!!!

Good Morning,

I didn't get a workout in last night slept wrong on my neck and then shoveled so I was in some pain last night. Tonite is Cardio and abs.

Belinda-good job with your workout.

Debbie-I have the same problem I just don't stretch enough.

Jess-Have fun at kick tonite and be careful with the ice.

Heather-good job with your workout.

Nora - I didn't get a hug from you last night. :( Nice workout, girl!! How do you like kettlebell workouts?

Belinda - Nice going with IMAX! And Happy Birthday to your son! I wish you could be with him, too. :( And yes, I've heard alot about that yoga show. I wonder if there is anyway to download them and copy them to a DVD? I'm sure there is.

Jess - Sure! I'm in with you on this yoga thing. I need to do it. I think I'm just going to pay for it more and more if I don't start stretching out my body. So lets do this!

Heather - I've actually been told about that Trigger Point kit. I'm looking into it. There is a book out there on Trigger Points, too. I'm having my SIL look for it for me at the library when she goes. Nice workout! You kicked butt!

Roxie - Shoveling is a workout, girl! That is one freakin' hard job. I did the end of our driveway last night and couldn't believe how much I was huffing and puffing.

Hi Girls!

today I did FIRE 45 EZ class from Turbo Fire. Wow. I haven't done a TF in a while, and I really do forget how fun they are AND how much they make me push myself cardio wise! LOVED IT!!! I did part of Stretch 40 too, just for 20 minutes. That did feel good.

So my oldest son has now got the stomach bug. He started vomitting this morning. Not as easy as me or anyone else, because he's the one with Type 1 Diabetes, and he could get into big trouble with his blood sugars either way, high or low. I have to check him every 2 hours at least. It's tough. I worry big time.

Nice workouts today , and yesterday, everyone!

Debbie, glad you found some constructive help for your knee/leg!! Definitely Yoga/Stretching should be a regular in your weekly workouts. I've been fitting one in every week, and trying to do more stretches as well.

Belinda, Happy Birthday to your son!!! Nice job on Imax today!!! I always loved that one when I used to do it. haven't in way too long.

Roxie, Hope your neck feels better!!

Heather, Nice going on the weight work yesterday. Can't believe you did it afterall. You've been training so hard!

Jessica, Nice going on your COre Fusion AND run last night! Even nicer your boss let/made you stay home today.

Nora, Good for you for taking a "rest" week!!! try to enjoy it and get some good stretches in!!!

Back to taking care of my kiddo...

Hi girls, I'm back for personals. I saw what belinda posted and I can't say it any better, so I quoted her, so ditto what she said. Belinda I hope you don't feel too sad not sharing your DS birthday, I'm sure he's thinking about you guys and missing you as well. Just think on the good times you had during the Christmas holidays with your family.

Hugs to everyone and yes this means you too Debbie!;)
