CRAZY, STRONG & LOVING IT for December

Good afternoon,

Debbie thanks for starting us off this month!!I am back from my vacation. We came back this morning around 3 am:confused: We had a blast in Antigua, I ate and drank way to much. The resort had 19 restaurants:eek: The food was so good!

I only worked out once, that was yesterday:confused: I did 45 min Zumba outside at the resort, that was fun! All I did on vacation is eat, drink and relax:p We did walked on the beach a few time, but for the most part I did nothing:eek:

I need a little more sleep, got up at 6 am.

Last night I did a full body workout w/Stephanie Victorino. Today I did Rocking Body "Mark, Move & Groove + Disco Groove" w/Shaun T. Very fun workouts!

Today I did Cardio Coach #1. Had a pretty good workout. Feeling pretty good lately other than my knees hurting. If it's not one thing, it's another. Good grief!

Z Ropes Workout #1 w/warm up + workout + Cool Down= 29 Min

Kettlebell Kickboxing- The Scorcher series- Strength= 40Min
MV= 9.50
CB= 519

I used a single #10 Kettlebell

Total calories burned = 994:eek::cool:

Belinda- welcome back! Wow, and you worked out today, bravo!!! I see you did STS D1 already and will hit abs tonight, WTG girlfriend way to take on the workout by the horns. Awesome job today!:cool::eek:

Debbie- I see you did Cardio Coach Volume #1 and had a good workout today, awesome great job! Glad that this workout felt good but just take it easy on the knees if they are feeling tweaky or could be tweaky feeling. Nice workout in the books for Monday WTG girlfriend! I went to work today and I was going to workout before I went but still have a headache that I think is sinus involved so I didn't get my workout in but we are moving stuff from one building to another so I did get some exercise.

Nora-he is still slightly congested and I have sinus issues but thanks for asking. Good job with your workout.
 
Morning girls,

Today I will do cardio, not sure what yet? I have an ear infection since I am back from vacation I been avoiding to take antibiotics (I always have some on hand) but think I need it…..my entire side of my face/ear is swollen up( On top of everything else, it's snowing like crazy. We are covered in snow and all the government is closed, can't even go to see my doc on Fort Dietrich. Arrr…..Walter Reed is an 1:45 min away.

Update on my BIL. He is home since a few day's. The only thing the doc found on him, his blood pressure is very high. They put him on blood pressure meds and he has to take aspirin every day. I am so happy it's nothing serious. Of course, he has to change his diet.

Roxie - hope you feel better soon.

Nora - wtg, on your workouts yesterday. How do you like KB's?

Belinda- Glad to have you back. Sorry to hear about an ear infection wow, that does not sound fun. Please take it easy and rest. Thanks for the update on your BIL glad he is on the mend and can make lifestyle changes as well as take blood pressure meds to get well and prevent this from happening again. Great news and Wish him well, now we just need to get rid of that nasty ear infection for you. Take care and get well.;):)

I worked again today but they want me to make sure I get home before dark so I had time to do Great Glutes TS #1 but skipped the ball work had a cramp in my side.

Nora-thank you DH had a coughing fit during the night and he is at it again tonite we just can't seem to break it.
 
I thought I updated yesterday? Weird. I didn't workout because yesterday was leg day and my knees have been really bothering me, especially my left knee. I even had a hard time walking around yesterday and Monday. I took another rest day today because they are feeling better and I don't want to chance it. Not sure what's going on with my knees, if they don't get better I'll have to go get them checked. I'm getting really frustrated. If it's not one thing it's another. I've never had so many problems in all my life. Every day it's something new. :(

Tomorrow is upper body and I will do a workout and hopefully run Friday. We'll see.

Update for the week:

Monday I did KCM TLC #1 and about 30 minutes of TF's Stretch 40.
Tuesday was intervals 1-8 of Afterburn.
Today I just finished KCM Cardio Quick Fix #2 (intervals) + Total Body Stretching #3 (w/the ball).

Busy this week with Christmas stuff and life, as usual! :eek:

Belinda: Welcome back from Antigua! sorry you're ill, though. Sounds like you need those antibiotics! Yikes! Are you going to do STS as is? or do undulating?

Debbie: My lower body has been super sore these last 2 weeks with KCM workouts. Not even sure what exercises are causing it! crazy! Maybe you should do some stretching/yoga again?

Nora: Awesome workouts as usual!!! hope all is well with the fam!

Roxie: Good for you for getting workouts in and commuting to work and back! Very proud of you!!! Sorry about the sinus sickies. When I get colds, they go straight to my sinuses as well. Hope you feel better!..... I did look at KCM's newest rotation, and was loosely following it. I am enjoying doing her stuff!

Chris- Nice job with all the workouts you've been doing. I really love the new KCM's Trim down and Shape Up they really challenge me in a good way. I know KCM does alot of compound movements and that always tends to make me DOMSY. I do feel it in the legs alot with Shape up but I do keep my knees soft and that helps. If you're feeling it alot in the legs and not in a good way I'd suggest either skipping a day of KCM and opt for a stretch or modify the moves to suit your needs and maybe a nice epsom salts bath later for your legs. Please be safe and hang in there with all the usual stuff and now the holiday stuff on top of it. Remember, you are a cathlete and can handle this girlfriend. Take care and be well and blessings with the family.

Debbie- sorry about the issues with working out of late. Glad you took yesterday off from working out particularly doing a leg workout when your knees aren't happy, good call to rest that day. I hope you feel better ASAP and are able to workout tomorrow as you would like. Take care and maybe a nice warm epsom salts bath would help for your legs. Have a great hump day and be well.;):)

Roxie- So you got a job, congrats I know you were looking for a while. Its good that your work wants to get you home before dark with the cold snap its a concern as the temps drop as the sun goes down. Good job getting in a timesaver workout today, those timesavers are nice options to have. Take it easy and feel better and same to your DH. Be safe driving and take care.:)

ey girls,

No workout yesterday and today Ended up in the ER at Walter Reeds this morning. My ear is so infected, I couldn't sleep on my right side last night, swallowing food hurts and my lymph notes are the size of a golf ball.The ER doctor sent me right away to the ENT clinic. The ENT doc cleaned and put a wick in my ear and checked out my sinus. I have to go back to the ENT next Wednesday. I am so tired of getting ear infections…arrr. I am to old for this!

Nora - thanks for asking! I feel a little better after seeing the ENT doctor today. Hopefully the swelling goes down soon.

Chris - Antigua was amazing! Hopefully I can finish D2 and D3 this week,if not…I will restart Monday:( My plan is to do STS as is. Doesn't look like I getting past D1:eek:

Debbie - do some stretches!

Roxie - good job with your workout, girl!

Good Afternoon,

I haven't worked out today being lazy for some reason you would think after finally losing a pound I would be more motivated of course the fact that its only 28 degrees doesn't help.

Nora-I ended up going back to my old job which means I have to drive two hours a day but after this week it will only be two or three days a week instead of four.

Belinda-have they discussed putting tubes in your ears, thats what they are doing for my grandson.

Debbie-take care of those knees.

Chris-my sinuses are better today but my nose is running.
 
Today I did the upper body premix of STS Total Body. I love that workout but getting really tired of the stuff Cathe says on there. You know when you hear something over and over it gets irritating. I might do that one on my own next time, I know it well enough. Had a great workout and I feel pretty good today. No headaches, no upper body pain and just a little knee pain. So all is well! Hopefully I can run on my treadmill tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments on my knees, everyone. It's disheartening to keep having problems all the time. I think all that heavy lifting is catching up to me. I hate it because I loved heavy lifting. I did a bench press today using 35# and thought, dang, not even a year ago I was doing these with 100#. What happened? Oh well, what can you do. I'm thankful I'm so healthy even if I do have occasional aches and pains. LOL!!! And those of you who told me to stretch - I have been stetching. It does help. I wish I had time to do more of it.

Today was KCM's Upper Body Split from Split Sessions. GREAT workout! Again, so happy I went with KCM this month and rediscovering her workouts. This one is TOUGH and I just adore the standing ab work! I know I will feel it tomorrow. I also did the Turbo Fire Stretch 10 (12!) .

Nora: You are a sweetheart. thank you for the nice words. You are right. We are all tough cookies , if we are Catheletes!!! We will prevail through this holiday craziness. Awesome workouts as always!!

Debbie: TRY THE DIET! LOL. I know I know. I'm glad you felt better today. I bet you would like KCM's Split session too. Do you have any KCM workouts? You could ask Santa. ;)

Belinda: You get SO sick when you get sick, don't you!??! You poor thing! Glad you're getting taken care of. Also glad you didn't get sick on vacation!

Roxie: I know, I am the same way. I lose a lb or 2 and then I'll eat crap food, to counteract it. Something is broken in my head! LOL!

Chris- Yay, for KCM. I did her today too, boy she sneaks up on you and gets ya good. I really like her videos and love that they are always time friendly and doesn't require a lot of equipment. I also love KCM's standing ab work on many of her workouts. Its a welcomed change of pace. Hang in there with all the holiday craziness and best of the holiday season to you and your family. I'm trying to be hopeful as I still have this HPV thing I have to get re-tested for in February then go from there. I'm scared like crazy about this and it does sort of detract from the holidays a bit for me. I realize february is a ways away but I sure could use the prayers and well wishes in the mean time. Great job with KCM's Split Sessions Upper Body that is a good one, and it is effective. Nicely done girlfriend excellent workout today. Go and enjoy your Thursday because YAY its almost Friday!! Debbie- glad you had a good workout with upper body premix of STS Total Body it is a great workout. Now that you've done this one enough you feel you can do it without the dvd good, you can listen to some music and do your own thing then that works too. I know you are feeling a bit bored with the weight workouts since you can't lift heavy now. I would like to suggest Les Mills Pump its fun and its got great music and its all high reps low weight using a barbell and weight plates. I have it and really enjoy it. All the instructors are all very positive and motivating and stress all demonstrate correct form throughout. Its sold thru Mary's site totalfitness.net for the beachbody stuff or you can get it from BB directly. Anyways its just a suggestion I wanted to through out there for you. Tonite I did KCM KBX #1 didn't feel like doing FT or Rock Out Knock Out so chose one I knew I would like.

Nora & Chris-must be a KCM day. I think I might do one of her rotations next week.

Debbie-our bodies punish us when we have abused it.
 
So no running today. Knees still aching a bit. I want that to go away before I start running and doing leg work again. So I'll take today and the weekend off and actually, I have to be at work on Monday by 7:30 so I doubt I'll be able to get up early enough to workout Monday. Bummer. :( So I'll start back on Tuesday. Hopefully by then my knees will be ok. They are feeling much better.
