CRAZY STRONG & LOVING IT FOR DEC 31, 2010

Good morning,

I am not sure if I will work out today, I am so beat! I am so tired of not sleeping at night, I don't know what's going on:eek: If I do decited to work out today, I only will do shoulders! That's it!

Do you think, I am overtraining with 2 rotaitons? Insanity is 6 days/40 min(in 2 weeks it will be 60 min!) and weight training 4 days a week?? I haven't lost a lb yet? I gained weight:mad::eek:

Today was Shoulders and Traps and I had a really good workout. Wanted to work my abs but didn't. No excuse, just didn't do it. :confused:

1 minute rest between each set.

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Military Press - 15's/12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)

Barbell Overhead Press - 57#/8 reps - 3 sets (up 2#)

Upright Rows - 52#/10 reps - 3 sets (up 2 #)

Hammer Hold Front Raises - 13's/12 reps - 3 sets (up 1#)
***Not a big increase here, but 1# for shoulders for me is a lot.

Lateral Raise - 13's/15 reps - 3 sets (up 1#)

Bent Over Lateral Raise - 17's/12 reps - 3 sets (up 2#)

TRAPS
Dumbbell Shrugs - 45's/20 reps - 3 sets



Belinda - Sleeplessness is one of the symptoms of overtraining. Yes, I think you are doing too much.

Leg Press Station - 200#/10 reps - 3 sets

Dumbbell Plie Squats - 45#/12 reps - 3 sets

Stiff Leg Deads - 75#/12 reps - 3 reps

Leg Extensions - 65#/15 reps - 3 sets

Barbell Calf Raises - 100#/25 reps - 3 sets
 
Today's workout:

Hi Girls!

Sorry for being MIA so much lately. The holidays and my boys home on Winter Break has been keeping me really busy. I had Christmas dinner here , and then on Wednesday of this week, my sister came over for our Christmas with HER and my mom and her son (who's the same age as my boys and they all get along great , with him!). they slept over too, and it was a blast! But I've also been going nonstop with cleaning/cooking/cleaning, etc

I actually missed a workout this week because I just couldn't fit it in with the visit. But I did complete ALL of Meso 3, last workout today!!! My 3rd time through, and I think I loved it even more this round!! I'm feeling a little lost now. Not sure how I can maintain my strength and muscle gains. Any ideas? Should I keep lifting heavy?

I'm also eager to see what Cathe has for Jan 11 rotation. I, like many, could stand to lose a few lbs too. I know it's 99% my eating. I TRULY need to clean that up!

Tonight I'm hanging at home with my kids. After a nice dinner together. Hopefully we can play games, watch TV, NO fighting! (Please!?!?!) DH is working. I don't think we've spent a NY's Eve together since before kids. Kind of sad. But, I guess we'll have our "Golden years" together... LOL!

Belinda: I think if you FEEL like you might be overtraining, you probably are. If this sleep issue is new since you started this rotation, especially. And your body will definitely hold onto weight if it's overtaxed, ya know? I'd say go with Debbie's rotation and throw in an Insanity for cardio here and there. But don't do both!

Debbie: Nice weight workout today!! I still have to do #2 day of abs this week.

Hi everyone...remember me?!?!

Chris - I so have you beat on being MIA.;) I think it's been over a month since I've posted anywhere!!

I hope you guys will forgive my lack of involvement. I traveled for work pretty much the whole month of December. It was crazy and it took all I had to get Christmas shopping done while I was home. I'm done travelling for a while, that's for sure. I did manage to finish M3 though...:eek: And I got some sporadic crappy-hotel-gym cardio in as well. Not too shabby.

I hope everyone is doing great. I'll try to get caught up now that things have slowed down.

Happy New Year you crazy chicks!!! I have a feeling that 2011 is going to totally ROCK!!!

I just finished today's workout that is actually making up for Thursday. I'm a day behind on my workouts because I took monday as an unscheduled day off for my Twilight Fest.


Here's today's workout for Thursday:

Lower Body Blast= 59 Min
Calories burned= 525
Met Value= 6.0

Rapid Fire: Kick Box & Core Burn- Premix#8= 44 Min
Met Value= 7.50
Calories burned= 451

Premix#8= 44 Min
Warm Up,Shadow Box, KB#2,Standing Core Ball. Love this premix its a killer and love the Shadow boxing.

Total calories burned= 976;):cool:

Belinda- Sorry to hear about your not being able to sleep at night. I'm sure your tired but your body is too wound up to allow you to sleep. I'd try a warm bath or warm milk before bed. It very well could be that you are overtraining for you. Please just listen to your body and I tend to agree with Debbies advice and suggest that. Take care and definitely don't workout tomorrow. BTW. Amazing weights today girl, you killed it. Just be sure not to over do it. Two rotations at the same time is tough stuff and even moreso because of them is Insanity. Your doing great but maybe ease off on Insanity a bit and use that to substitute for some cardio or to mix up your cardio and not do Insanity every day. Its way intense and probably too much for everyday. Hugs!;);)

Debbie- Wow! Debbie awesome weight work on shoulders and traps today. You always amaze me with the weights you can lift. You are a crazy strong cathlete without a doubt and you rock.;)

Chris- Hi girl~ Happy New Year! :eek: No worries on missing a workout during the craziness of the holidays. You've been busy with your boys and family that is more than reasonable. Its so good to see you post again I was getting a little concerned but figured the holidays are keeping you busy. I hope you had a nice New Years with the boys and a nice non hectic evening. Bravo on finishing Meso 3, and this was the 3rd time through STS that is so awesome. You should be proud of that. Yes, STS seems to get better and better each time I do it and its so cool the strength gains. WTG, girl way to go! Again, happy new year to you and you family. Hugs!;):)

Melissa- Hey girlfriend, I was starting to worry about you and Chris. Its great to hear from you via you post. I bet you'll be happy to not travel for work anytime soon, eh? I hope you had a wonderful christmas, congrats you survived the holiday insanity. In my book that's worth a gold medal, or at least should be. No worries about having a tough time fitting in workouts especially when your traveling and having to use the hotel gym, just do what you did and make do and do what you can. Now that your home I'm sure you'll enjoy sleeping in your own bed, seeing your family, and working out with cathe again and your stationary bike. I wish you all the best in the New Year~ Hugs!:);)
