Good morning,

Getting ready to pick my kids up from the airport! I hope I get my workout in today, maybe tonight. I couldn't sleep last night, awoke up every hour:confused: that's gonna be fun today!

Wow! We are getting clobbered with snow. It's just coming down. All the schools are closed and I'm wondering if I should even attempt to go into work. I guess I'll try it, if I can't make it I'll turn around and come home. I can't believe how much snow we've gotten already.

Today was Chest and Triceps. New 4 weeks. Straight sets today. Had a great workout.

1 minute rest between each set. 3 minutes rest between chest & tri's exercises.

WARMUP
Incline Barbell Press - 55#/12 reps - 2 sets

CHEST
Incline Barbell Press - 80#/8 reps - 3 sets

Flat Bench Dumbbell Press - 35's/10 reps - 3 sets

Incline Dumbbell Flyes - 25's/12 reps - 3 sets

Toes on Stability Ball Pushups - 15 reps - 3 sets

TRICEPS
Overhead Dumbbell Extension - 35#/8 reps - 3 sets

Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/10 reps - 2 sets
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/9 reps - set
***This one got me good. Very tough.

Weighted Bench Dips - 45#/12 reps - 3 sets

Seasaw Pushups - 12 reps - 3 sets
***Was shooting for 15 reps but my tri's were fried.
 
Ok, so I didn't get up this AM. I slept kind of "off" last night and honestly just have a really hard time getting up on Monday's lately for some reason. So I'm planning to do Kick before dinner after work and then my STS chest/shoulders/triceps workout after dinner. It's my last week of STS M2 and its all drop-sets so that workout should go by really fast I think! Plus it makes it so worth it to stay in bed if I know I'll make up for it later ;-)

Debbie - stay safe in the snow! I vote stay home but that's just me. And PS - wowza on those tricep extensions! Crazy woman!

Belinda - I'm with you on the sleep issues last night, didn't sleep well either, hence my plan to workout tonight. I'll be with ya virtually at least!

Nora - holy calorie burn on high reps! I'm dying to try that one next! I'm going to try to weave it into my last week of STS M2 this week, maybe towards the end of the week. I LOVE the new workouts from Cathe so far!!

Tonite for me is LIS Lower Body Blast and hopefully some abs. I am disgusted and hate myself right now, not happy with the way I look at all so something has to change.

Aw Roxie! Don't be so hard on yourself! I'm sorry to hear you are so down...hang in there ok and try to be positive! I know it's hard, I totally have those days where I feel like I look terrible and nothing will help me shake it. Hugs!

So I finally did legs on Saturday. Went with M2D20. Had a good workout, but it did sort of hurt my knee. yesterday was chest from M2D22. Definitely feeling this one today!!!

Wide arm pushups - 10
standard pushups - 10
Wide arm pushups - 10
Standard pusups - TF (16)
Flat bench dumbbell press - 12,10,8 - 30's
Incline flyes - 12,10,8 - 25's
Incline dumbbell press - 12,10,8 - 30's

I did the drills and last 3 combos and abs from KPC.

Today I think I will do biceps at lunch then hit up spin with DH after work. It's freaking cold here - as in 12 degrees on my way in!

Debbie - awesome weights. I just don't even want to think about snow. Be careful if you get out.

Belinda - sorry to hear you slept terribly. That's never fun.

Jessica - sleeping in on Mondays is the rule right :D

Roxie - big hugs to you. So sorry that you're feeling down on yourself right now. You work too hard to feel that bad you know.

Dumbbell curls - 12,10,8,12,10,8 - 16's, 16.5's, 17's
Incline curls with rotation at top of move - 12,10,TF - 6 @ 16's then had to drop to 15's (TF=7)
Reverse curls - 12,10,TF - 13's (really struggled with these big time, they just felt wrong, TF=6)

I am meeting DH after work at the gym for spin class. My legs are still sore from Saturday's workout, so this should be interesting :eek:

Roxie - I think we all get that way sometimes. Are you eating ok? Enough? Clean? Look at those things. What is making you so disgusted with yourself? I can't imagine you look all that bad with the way you workout. I hope you are feeling better about yourself. ;) My advice? Get through the holidays and then start getting disciplined about your diet and workouts. It's pointless when the holidays are so near. That's what I've resolved to do.

Debbie-I know I am not eating enough and when I do its usually horrible food and I haven't worked out since Thursday so I know that isn't helping either I just need to seriously get my ass out of bed in the mornings because to much crap comes up at night. I really plan on cracking down hard after the holidays I am going to work on learning how to eat healthier so I can get off my cholesterol meds and hopefully it will help with my sleeping even sleeping pills aren't helping with that. I was going to do a Chalene Extreme Turbo Fire Hybrid starting in January but I think I am going to do your Dec 08 rotation.
 
Hi Girls!

This afternoon after a minimal sleep, I started Week #2 of MESO 3. Did Disc 27 which is Chest and Back. Heavy! 7 reps! Big rests! I will be feeling this tomorrow, I'm sure. It always amazes me the amount of weight I have on my workout card. Backrowing a 74 lb barbell! :eek: And I used 70 #'s for deadlifts too!

Belinda: Enjoy your kiddos!

Debbie: Wow! We got a TON of rain over the weekend. The snow sounds nicer!!

Heather: I always think of weight work as challenging myself and making myself stronger. Not how much weight I can or have lifted. I know it's hard not to focus on numbers. Nice job on the Meso 2 workouts this past weekend!

Jess: Enjoy your Ride Class!!!

Roxie: ((hugs)). I do think focusing on eating better and workouts makes you feel better.

I had a puke status workout tonite. I did LIS Lower Body Cardio Blast and it was a killer and then I did TF Stretch 10.

I finished my workout around 7pm tonight so this is a late check-in for me today.

Here's today's workout:


Intensity= 57 Min
Calories burned= 592
Met Value= 7.0

I got too warm during this and felt dizzy, light headed and my legs felt rubbery like they may not keep me upright. I even reached puke status so decided I'd take a breather half way through and rest a bit. I think this was MS fatigue and heat sensitivity issues since I so extremely tired and fatigued. I guess taking care of some recuperating from surgery is more tiring than I thought.

Core Max- Core #3 Med Ball Abs= 21 Min
Met Value= 5.0
Calories burned= 143

Total calories burned= 735
I didn't feel this was my best effort at intensity today but I guess this was one of those MS fatigue days so I had issues to deal with.

Belinda- Have a wonderful visit with your kids and don't worry about checking in with us. Just enjoy your time with your kids and DH. I bet it feels like Christmas now with your kids there, eh? Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Roxie- I feel your pain. I hate the way I look and I've always hated the way I look. It hurts me to know that I don't look good and I do try so hard with working out. I remember once my then six yearold now fifteen yearold son asked me why I wasn't pretty and thin like all the other mommies. This still kills me to this day. I just want to be invisible because I hate myself. I've seen your picture Roxie and you look great, so don't worry. I know most people have times when they don't feel they look their best. You are doing so great with your workouts, just keep up the good work its paying off for you big time. Hugs and take care.;)

Debbie- Once again you wow me with the weight work. You are just an amazon, which I happen to think is pretty darn awesome and kick butt. ^^^5's.

Heather- Nice workout today. Don't worry, you are getting stronger with STS. STS Total Body is a total body workout which is completely different than the rest of STS. Total body work correct me if I'm wrong here Debbie but usually that's not about working at your 1 Rep Max with the heaviest weight you can with good form. I did take note to print my workout card for STS Total body and Cathe says on the dvd to go 65 to 80% I think of your 1 Rep Max. I did have to go up in weights but on some of the exercises but that was up from the 65% of my 1 Rep Max. So, don't worry. I definitely felt STS Total Body somewhat while doing it and especially on the next day with some DOMS. You are doing awesome girl and killin' the weight work in my best recollection and estimation. Keep up the great work.:);)

Jessica- Awesome workout you have planned for tonight. I have no doubt you'll be rockin' that one and kickin' butt. I bet Mondays are especially tough because you know that your days are numbered literally at your current job which is happy dance time. Just cross a day off the calendar each day and celebrate that your are one day closer to a better situation and a nice break between jobs. ;)

Chris- Yay on Week #2 of MESO 3. Did Disc 27 which is Chest and Back and your impressive strength gains and going up in weights, ^^^5's and Bravo WTG!!! I hope you get more sleep, you definitely need it. Take care my friend.;)

Never got a nap in today, tried but didn't happend.

Debbie - enjoy the snow! I am tired of looking at snow already, lol! Your weights and rotation looks amazing, girl! Can't wait to stat the next 4 weeks. The same thing happend to my DD 2 years ago, he luggage didn't arrive until the next day. It's the holiday's I guess! At leat we don't have to drive to the airport in Nuernberg and pick his luggage up, they will bring it;) There where like 20 people without luggage, so it wasn't just my son's.

Jess - hope you enjoyed Kick and STS after work today, too bad they don't offer Kick in our gym. Would like to try it one day. Hate when I don't get enough sleep:( Hope you get some good sleep tonight.

Roxie - nice job, on LIS LBB today. Don't be so hard on yourself, girl! My eating is all over these day's too. Like Debbie said, get through the holidays. New year, new start!

Heither - sorry, to hear your hurt your knee. Take care! Nice job on D20 and D22 plus KPC. We all have those day's, one day you feel super strong the next day you feel weak. You still on strong woman!
