Crazy, strong & loving it for August!

Hi girls!;)

I'm still not working out for today, ugh! This really is getting on my last nerve! I really want to workout but my stupid left foot and toes are still very sore and black and blue. My foot does not want wear a shoe on that foot other than a Birkenstock slip on sandal. I'm hoping to get my foot to be able to do some sort of workout. Perhaps for cardio maybe try cycling on my stationary bike assuming I can get my foot in a workout shoe. I could also try upper body only weights or Butts & Guts floor work. We'll see how I feel, I just don't want to jump the gun on my recovery time and then have a big set back.

Belinda- So happy you got your CF and TTM DVDs and now you did CF its awesome and I loved it. I didn't do the entire CrossFire DVD until the second week I had it. I did begin trying some of the premixes out first and that gave me an idea of what I was in for. It was challenging and fun and like you said a sweat fest and of course I love it. After trying the entire CF it was a sure fire hit and it did help doing the premixes first to ease into it and learn it. I think Cathe hit both of these out of the park with both workouts and I'm loving all the fab premixes. I think these two new Cathe DVDs are bonafide keepers! Awesome job on your killer workout today! Also, thanks for the well wishes.;):cool:

Roxie- Have fun in Colorado and take care girlfriend;)! No I did not go to the doctor but I've had this happen before and know what it feels and looks like. All the doctor can do is recommend I ice the toes, stay off of them. Not much to do with the toes as far as being broken. Take care and have fun, but definitely keep hydrated and cool on your vacation!;):cool:

Chris- Good for you with Peakfit Cardio Strength 1, great workout and Michelle is no joke but with a great fun factor. I have no doubt you definitely got a great workout, and no worries on the rests. In a perfect world we wouldn't need rests because we'd either be Cathe or not need to breathe, right? LOL!!! Great Job as usual on your workout today. Thanks for your kind words about my toes, thank you. Yes, it definitely is a workout buzz kill since I really love to workout six days a week and I can't until my stupid foot will let me. Grrr! Great workout with Peakfit and I still want Michelle's two new workouts, still drooling at them they just look so fun. I will get them but probably not until after things get settled money-wise when school starts so probably october, fingers crossed. I'm excited about getting Jillian's BR in September since I did pre-order it. I'm looking forward to that since it will be a 90 day rotation that takes less time per day than usual and I feel free to do add-ons at will. You know me and I'll be doing extra workouts probably Jillian Michaels other stuff or CF or TTM premixes. I will strive to keep total workout time to sixty minutes or less. Ok, well that's the goal.;):p Take care and be well:)

Debbie- I have Brian Kest's 3dvd set and he is great. I can't hold the poses as long as they do in that video either. Yoga is not a competition, just do what you can in that movement without straining and that's good enough. Yoga poses do have modifications too, which I love because let's face it I'm not a double jointed barbie doll. Although, I wouldn't mind having her tiny waist or some of her height, but oh well. If you like Brian Kest, some others you may like are: Baron Baptiste and Rodney Yee, they are all excellent in the same company as Brian Kest. I have a few of their dvds as well, all good stuff. Ok, I made up my mind on a rotation, I will do Cathe's Aug rotation. Like how she mixed all the workouts up. Should see nice results too. I will do LIS today. Haven't done that one in ages.

I did S&H Bic + Tric on Saturday. Yesterday I was paining all afternoon.

Today I pulled out YogaX - Chris mentioned it last week and I totally forgot all about this workout. O - M - G! I forgot how hard this workout is and I probably should have given myself a couple more weeks before tackling this one. But I did ok and did the entire 90 minute workout. I was going to stop at an hour, but was so into it that I just kept going. Plus I have the time today so why not?

Can anyone do Crane? Good God! :eek:

Last day until my time changes for work. My workouts will be in the p.m. starting tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. If I find too many things are hindering me from working out, I will start back in the early a.m.

Belinda- Nice job today with LIC. It is a great workout, but I opted to not follow Cathe's rotation this month but do my own modified workout and workouts but looking at Cathe's strength workout styles in inspiration. Great job today, WTG!!;)

Debbie- Wow, you did Yoga X all 90 minutes of it. That is super tough and no I can't do the Crane. In truth I could not do the entire 90 minutes ever. I felt the yoga was nearly impossible to do with my MS and the balance issues I have. I needed more modifications and I felt the workout was too long for me. It was impressive though some of the flexibility moves the class demonstrated. Good for you doing Yoga X that is tough stuff.

Chris- I hope your having a great day and had a great workout for today. ;)

My workout today won't happen until after work. I already don't feel like working out. Good Lord, I hope this works out for me. If not, I'm back to 5 a.m. workouts. :eek:

I will do LM today. We had to put another coat on the wall yesterday, those walls soaking up the color? I looked at the walls this morning and they look great. Today we can start on the trim. My son and DD will come this weekend, still have lots to do.

Nora - glad you feeling better again. Good job, with your workout yesterday.

I did LM awhile ago. Forgot how much fun this one was I was not looking forward doing cardio for 70 min, but the time flew by I burned 733 cal, I was suprised :)

I will now relax, I am beat and stressed out. It just downed to me...my son will be here on Saturday. We still have lots of work to do.

I will try to check in tonight, if I don't...I will see you all bright and early in the morning.

Oh, so you got to paint and get things finished the way you'd like I see, wow sounds like a challenge. If I lived where you are I'd volunteer to come over and help paint. Sadly, I live in Oregon. Do you have some friends that could pitch in and help? It could be fun sort of a painting party. Ok, I like painting so that would be fun I know crazy:D I wish you the best with the painting. You can do it, just think of Cathe how many times she's said that to us in her workouts. We had our moments of disbelief and grumbling but we did get through it, and so this will be too. OK, I'm sort of freaking out I have an outpatient ultrasound that my gynecologist ordered for me. I've had to wait for two weeks until my appointment tomorrow morning. Not sure how long it will take for them to get and fax the results to my doctor but I'm guessing a few days to a week depending on the doctor reading the results and his findings, and sending my doctor the results. Ugh, can they stress me out much more but now I have to wait even longer. It gets hard holding it all together when you feel there is this unknown hanging over your head like that. Oh well, wish me luck tomorrow morning and well wishes and prayers are very much appreciated.

So I knew it, I didn't workout when I got home last night. I just did not have it in me. So I got up at quarter to 5 this morning and did a yoga workout. I just have to deal with this and get up early again, I just can't workout in the evenings. I have too much to do after work and if I worked out as well I wouldn't be able to sit down and relax until 8 p.m. Nope, can't do it.

I chose Yoga Relax today becuase my traps are really sore again from YogaX. I really with this soreness would go away. I thought yoga would help in that area but so far it seems to aggrevate it. I'm not in pain, though, just a lot of soreness. :confused:

I sure feel good right now, though. Yoga makes my body feel alive. Other than the soreness, I'm really loving this.

Nora - nice combo yesterday. We did had a painter, but had to fire him. Awww...you are so sweet!! I know, you would help, Nora. We do have wonderful, amazing neighbors...they always offer help, but DH and I will get it done room by room.

No workout for today, I knew I'd be too stressed. Hopefully I'll hear from my doctor as early as Friday or sometime next week regarding today's ultra sound results. Fingers crossed for good news.

Sorry I haven't checked in this week. I forget sometimes! ..

I decided to do Cathe's January 2012 Rotation. The one month one. If I'm into it enough, I may do the 3 month Body Transformation one, with STS and LIS. So far I'm really liking tihs rotation!

Monday was STS Total Body.
Tuesday was LIS Low IMpact (Step) Challenge

Loved both of those! STS TB gave me WICKED DOMS the next day!!!

Today was Yoga Relax (Debbie! we did the same Yoga!) , and I did 20 minutes of Turbo Jam before, just to warm up. VERY stretchy and my body was very tight. I'm glad this rotation has the yoga once a week.

Debbie: Have you ever been to the doctor's for your trap soreness? Just curious. It's too bad you couldn't figure out exactly what it is and what you should do to fix it. for good. Ya know? ..... So you did YOgaX this week? That one is tough! But I do like it alot!

Belinda: WTG on the Aug Rotation so far!!! I haven't done Low Max in YEARS it seems. I should do that one day.... PUB is one of my favorites too.

Nora: So your toe is ok now? I see you've been doing cardio! YAY!!!... You know, if the ultrasound showed something awful, they would tell you RIGHT away. The techs know what should be called right away. IN fact, they can READ the tests themselves. So no immediate news is good news! now go get some sleep and rest!!!!

Dh and I went on a ten mile hike in the mountains and it was much harder then I thought it would be especially since I have a cold. My trainer offered me 3 more sessions for 99.00 and one free session to finish out the month so I am seriously considering it. She sent me some exercises to do that do not require equipment because we don't have internet service.so we didn't bring my laptop and Dh's won't play videos it gets to hot so I also did some pushups and situps because my legs hurt so I didn't do the rest.
 
Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #2 revised. Sort of just going through my CC's in order. :rofl: Had a pretty good workout, this one isn't my favorite but it's ok.

CARDIO STATS:

Chris - Yes, I went to see a doctor. It was pretty much what I expected, "We have no idea what's causing the tightness, lighten up on your weights..." Whatever! I'm feeling pretty good today, the soreness is gone. Maybe my body just needs to get use to these yoga workouts. Also, maybe I need to stay away from power yoga for a while, although I love them.

Nora - Keeping my fingers crossed for you! I'm sure everything will be fine.

Roxie - Sounds like you are having fun. 10 miles is a long way! Nice job on that!

Belinda - Great job with PUB! That one is a fun one!

Today I did STS Total Body again. Still tough, even with more than 2 hours sleep!!! Love that one though. I didn't even mind doing it again.

Debbie: Oh ok. At least you had it checked out somewhat. I'm glad you're starting to feel less sore with the yoga. I think it definitely hits you in different spots and makes you sore.

Roxie: Nice active vacation! I think you should go with the trainer. I've never seen you more consistant with workouts before.
