Crazy, strong & loving it for August!

Hi Girls!

Sorry I've been MIA. My mom ended up going into the hospital over the weekend while I was working for emergency abdominal surgery. Really thought things were going to turn out ugly. She's 88. But she did awesome, the surgery wasn't as bad as they thought it might be. But she is in the hospital for a while. Probably will go to rehab afterwards. But I've been spending all my time between her and then the first day of school was today.

I've also been keeping up with my workouts.
Monday was Plyo Legs. Tuesday was Afterburn Premix 1-10 and KB workout w/ Bob. Today was Yoga Max. I agree, some of those poses are very long!!

Debbie, did you end up looking into the free online Jillian Yoga Meltdown? I really think you'd like that. She moves fast , and does not stay in poses long, but works your muscles... Nice job on the workouts this week!!

Nora, You do some cool combos! Love today's!! Hope things are better there re: stress!

Belinda: i've "seen" you on MFP a bit,. You are also doing great with the workouts. Today is the last week, huh?

Roxie: That is so cool the PT will answers any questions or help you. So you're going to keep going to the gym for your workouts?

Chris- I wish your mom a speedy recovery from her surgery. No doubt your feeling tired with keeping up with your usual work schedule, the kids first day of school, and spending time with your mom making sure she's doing well on all counts. Amazingly your keeping up with your workouts, I'm sure they're helping to workout the stress. I know I really need those workouts to vent the stress in a positive way so I don't internalize it, and nothing good comes of that. You go girlfriend, you are amazing and you deserve a gold medal!! You Rock!! Hugs to you and your mom!:);)

Roxie- Great job today on the Elliptical machine. You are doing so awesome with your trainer and I know you just finished up with her, see I knew you could do it you are a Cathlete after all! With all that you've been doing in your great workouts and eating clean the measurements and scale will undoubtedly follow. You go girlfriend, I'm so proud of you!:):D

Belinda- Sadly no I didn't pre-order the new Susan Chung Rapid Fire 3 workout, I wanted to but couldn't afford it right now. I'll probably get it later after its out at Totalfitnessdvds.com. I saw you did a killer workout today. Great job with HiiT 40/20 plus AC stability ball abs, WTG girlfriend killer workout nicely done.;):D:)

Debbie- So sorry to learn about your Aunt's passing ((Hugs)) I know its tough losing someone it helps to remember them at their best and full of life and sparkling with personality. Hold those memories close to your heart and cherish them. Yes I agree a tough workout seems to really feel great and what the doctor ordered in times like that, at least that is true for me. Great job on Cardio Coach Press Play, I'm sure Coach Sean and Jim are congratulating you on your workout.:);) Extra Hugs to you girlfriend;)

Ok, girls that's it for me today. Great job ladies on all your workouts for today. I'll see ya at tomorrow's workout check in. Hugs to everyone!;)

Today was yoga and I chose Bryan Kest's Energize again. I think I'm ready to move on to Tone. I will do that one next week.

I have to say, I'm getting a bit bored with yoga. I'll give it a few more weeks but then I'll have to figure out what I want to do going forward. I'm missing my weight lifting but at the same time if feels great not to tax my muscles like I have been. I'm also afraid of hurting myself again.

We'll see how it goes. I'm becoming flexible again but not as flexible as I'd like, so I will keep up with the yoga for a while longer. I always feel great after a yoga practice.

Chris - So sorry to hear about your mom, but I'm so glad she did so well with the surgery. I will keep her in my prayers. Yes, I will be purchaseing MeltDown, proabably this weekend. There are a few more on Collagevideo's I want, I'm just trying to decide.

Nora - Thanks about my Aunt. Today is the wake and tomorrow the funeral. It will be very sad. And about Press Play, when I was doing it yesterday I kept thinking throughout the workout, "I can't believe both Jim and Sean are gone." Doesn't seem right.

Morning girls,

I have AT on tap today.

Debbie - good job with your yoga this morning. I know you miss weight lifting, don't rush into things to soon!!! You also find JM Meltdown in Wall Mart, Target for less than $10. On youtube they are free;) ;);) I don't use my dvd, don't like it:confused:

Nora - amazing workout yesterday. You rock, girl!

Chris - wishing your mom a sppdy recovery. This week is the last week. Good job keeping up with your workout.

Roxie - good job on the elliptical yesterday. Good job on the inches.

I will be back later.

Good Morning,

Tonite is my final session with the PT and I have to say I am a little nervous about that. Its only a 30min session so I will probably run on the TM after.

Chris-I have a one year commitment to the gym so I will be going there until June.

Debbie-I know yoga can get boring but you will know when your body is ready for wts again and please start lighter until you know what your body can take so you don't hurt yourself.

Belinda-thanks and have fun with your workout today.

Nora-you are always so encouraging thanks for the confidence. Good job on your workouts yesterday.

Hi Girls...

Thanks for the good thoughts for my mom. I really appreciate it. She's doing even better today. But of course, she really wants out of the hospital. She'll be going to rehab as early as the weekend!

Today was supposed to be Upper Body Trisets (LIS), but kind of getting bored with that one, so I did one I probably NEVER did before: CTX's Upper Body Split. It's all the upper body weight work from CTX! Fun stuff!! Lighter weights, non stop reps. Ow. ie.

Debbie: It's too bad you're getting bored with Yoga. Wish there was something else you could do that's strengthening, but non weight lifting , to change it up a bit. I'll try to see what I can think of!?!? Hope the funeral & wake go ok. SO hard to get through those things. :(

Nora: Sounds like you're mixing it up good! yes, definitely workouts help with the stress. Unfortunately, so does eating. I haven't been horrible, but not as good as I could be. Ugh. My life story! LOL!.

Roxie: Good! i'm glad you have the membership for a year. Sounds like it's really good for you to get out of your house to do your workouts.

Belinda: AT is great! I think I may have Afterburn for tomorrow. Not sure if I'll do it. Might do Crossfire if I feel up for it.

Have a good night, girls!!

Good evening,

I did AT this morning. Just forgot to post it, busy day!

Chris - I will keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. CTX UB split is awesome. I will do AB on Saturday.

Roxie - why are you nervous? Have fun tonight.

Hallo Nora!

I will be back in the morning w/Kickmax! Good night, everyone!

Good Evening,

PT said I am ready to do this on my own we used some equipment we hadn't used before and she talked to me about some of the others, she also told me to make up my workouts and text them to her and she will tell me whether they are good or if I need to add something. I also did the TM before I left.

Belinda-trying to come up with a plan on my own scares me.

Hi girls;)

Just a quick check in tonight. I finished my workout earlier but forgot to check in but will do so now.

Hi Girls!

This morning I did Crossfire. Felt like throwing up at the end!! WOW!!!

Did grocery shopping and planning on celebrating my oldest son's bday today, since we can't really on his real bday (Saturday).

Roxie: That PT is awesome, huh?? Glad you got her!

Belinda: Did you do KM today?

Nora: You had an awesome workout yesterday!! You come up with the best combos of workouts. How do you decide? Right before you do them or plan them the day/week before?

Chris- Awesome workout today with CrossFit, Yes that is a truly butt kicking near puke status type of workout. Its a toughie and that's no joke, love those kinds of workouts that really challenge you and see what your made of. Yes I'm crazy that way, but that's why we love Cathe's workouts. Sounds like a busy weekend a head for you with birthday preparations and such. Don't work too hard and have fun, take care!:) Yes, I do plan my workouts usually a week ahead on Sunday I'll sit down and figure out what ones I want to do. I first look at what I think workout I'd like to do, then amount of time, and the total calories burned. My goal is to do no more than 60 to 75 minute workouts per day usually six days a week and burn at least combined calories of 600 or more so I can lose weight. I strive to aim for that each week anyways.

Debbie- Have blessed weekend!;)

Roxie- It sounds like your PT is a great one. Its great she answered any questions or concerns and strategies for you in planning your workouts for on your own. I have to agree with your PT I think your ready to do this on your own now, and its great that you can run anything by her if you have concerns. Great job on the TM today as well. You go girlfriend you got all the power to do great things on your own in your fitness journey plus you got all of us here too. Hugs and good luck and also happy labor day weekend:)

Belinda- I bet you got in Kick Max today to, great job and keep up the great work!:):D

That's it for me today girls, have a great weekend. I'm not sure if I'll workout tomorrow or not, we'll see. Take care and Hugs to everyone!;):)
