Crazy, Strong & Loving It for 6/4

Today was cardio and I needed something quick because I'm taking my mom to the doc's to get her hip measurement. I chose STS Kickbox + Core Conditioning. This is an ok workout but it sure doesn't get my HR up. Even the blasts only get me to about 141 bpm. But I still like doing this workout, it's fun.

HR STATS w/Cardio & Abs:
52 minutes total
15 minutes below zone
34 minutes in zone
3 minutes above zone
345 calories burned

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Happy Friday ladies! I am in DOMS heaven today - yes, I said heaven ;-) Pleasantly surprised to find I have tri DOMS which rarely happens for me - score for STS! And my ENTIRE body is sore from Kick last night which was an awesome, SUPER sweaty workout. I should've worn my HR monitor to see how many cals that class burns, its got to be up there. At least it FEELS that way, anyway! I went to Ride this morning thinking I'd come back and do my STS legs workout after but chose to nix it - Jo said my body would be mad at me if I pushed it with all these DOMS going on so I guess I'll listen ;-) Plus, I'm gearing up for a long run tomorrow and would hate for my legs to be too sore to really push so I guess all is well!

How are ya'll doing today? As happy as I am that it's FRIDAY???

Debbie - nice work on the workout, even if it felt quick, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, and plus - you got active, you sweat and you burned calories today. Not everyone can say they did that, right? :)

Happy Friday everyone (look at me, two days in a row - ha!)

Like Jess, I spun this morning and felt like lead to start, but got into it by the end, super sweaty, as always, and sometimes the music totally MAKES the workout, doesn't it? This followed an intense Kick class last night where even my calves had sweat dripping from them...how does that happen?! ;-)

Debbie - I love the STS kickbox, but you are right, the HR isn't all too high, but maybe partially because it's relatively short. Love the idea of sharing HR results here too!

Jess - um yeah, your body is screaming at you...love STS for MAJOR DOMS!

Good Morning,

Instead of going for a walk tonite I am going to do High Step Circuit to get some kind of wt. work in this week and I need to work abs (that bikini isn't going to look to good if I don't).

Debbie-good job with the kickbox.

Jessica-take a rest girl give those muscles time to recover.

Jo-don't think I have ever had my calves sweat.

Today totally should have been a rest day. And I soooooo need one. I did the Pyramid Upper/Lower workout last night and increased my weights since it's the up only. I was totally unmotivated, but got it done. This morning I did the 3 combos from LIC and abs. Tomorrow we'll be on the road most of the day and I know I won't be able to get in a workout, so that's why I went against what I normally preach about taking the scheduled rest day. I did at least go for an easier, shorter workout though. But man I didn't want to do it LOL

Debbie - I love that workout, but you're right on the HR. It's fun at least. That has to count for something right?

Roxie - good job with the longer walk!

Melissa - how are the legs today?

Jessica - yep, rest up those legs for tomorrow. You'll have a much better run. Good job on the Tri DOMS. For me it's my back. I almost never have DOMS after back workouts.

Jo - what???? 2 days in a row???? Is it a blue moon?

Nora - good job with your workout yesterday. You always amaze me!

Hi Belinda!

Good morning crazies....:D

Debbie - totally LOVED BM2 Timesaver premix last night. I was drenched when I was finished. I haven't done BM2 in a while, but it's amazing to me how it all comes back.

Jessica - why yes, I believe I am as happy as you are that it's Friday. Now if only I could wiggle my nose and have it be 4:00, I'd be even happier!!

Jolene - gracing us with your presence again today (heehee)...YOU ROCK!! Sounds like you've been rocking your workouts these past couple of days, too. My calves sweat when I bike, so it is possible. Unless of course we are both just odd...

Roxie - have fun with HSC today.

I have to work shoulders tonight. Got some good doms from CTX last week so I think I'll give that another whirl. I'll have to check my notes, but I think I can go a little heavier too. Maybe I have some super-duper shoulder doms in my near future...

Heather - legs are feeling good today, a little looser than yesterday. You definetly need a rest day if you are unmotivated. Just think, soon enough you'll be livin' the life, lying on the beach reading...AHHHH. Or to an outsider, you may be on the beach looking like a total lunatic doing boot camp drills..;)

Melissa - I'm hoping the beach will be OK for me to look like a crazy fool on - the oil slick is headed that direction. :( I did think about what people might think about watching someone do drills though. Kind of funny!!!

Oy, that's not good. Hopefully it won't reach your beach by then. That whole situation makes me so incredibly sad...:(

It would be so funny if someone random person ran out and joined you... You know that if any one of us crazy chicks were there we would!!!

Good afternoon girls,

Thanks girls! The doctor in Georgia thinks the drops I was taking for the fungus in my ears caused all my infections. He doesn't think I had a fungus in my ear:eek: which caused a bad reaction in my ears/sinus:eek: He did took a culture, but the drops killed whatever caused it. I have to wait until I see my German ENT doctor he also took a culture just the day before we flew:confused: Now the doctor is worried that I will get another sinus/ear infection since I am on the antibiotics for so long, I still have to take it for 2 more weeks. Monday I have another appointment with the ENT in Ga, I hope he gives us the green light to fly back to Germany on Wednesday:eek: I wonna go home!

DH and I are on the Naval station in Jacksonville FL. We are right on the beach, that's nice. I can't get in the water, that's ok!The internet is running really slow. Wished I had more time to chat and catch up with you all.

I been so frustrated the last few day's, I needed a good workout. The gym is in walking distance:p

Today I ran the first time in over a week, I did CCPP. I ran over 5 miles. Burned 698 cal.The gym was so hot, the AC was broken. I didn't know:confused:I was one sweaty mess! The stuff told me they have another cardio gym with AC not far away. I will use that one until we leave! Wished someone would told me before I ran in that hot sauna!

Tomorrow I will do weights in the gym, they got a nice weight room!

Awesome job, on your workouts girls! I am right there with you again and it feels good! LOL!

Whatever you do, have an awesome day! See you all tomorrow!

Debbie-I have a question for you after taking the quiz on the bodybuilding website I found out that I am between an Endomorph and a Mesomorph so which would work better for me Insanity or Chalene Extreme which is kind of like STS?

Hi girls!;)

Yeah! Its T.G.I.F!!! I only have two days left of Insanity which I will finish up on Sunday:eek: Its been fun and really challenging and pushes you beyond what you think you can do. Great stuff and I'm happy to have this in my workout dvd library of rotations and I can mix it up with any of my other workouts. Awesome stuff, and I love Shaun T he's so much fun!

Here's today's workout:

Insanity-Max Interval Plyo= 55 Min
Calories burned= 864:eek:
I was dripping with sweat and two fisting the bottles of water with this one, it gets ya good!

KCM-30 Min to Fitness Weights Workout# 2 Bi's,Tri's & Shoulders= 30 Min
Calories burned= 246
I did this workout before I did Insanity Max Interval Plyo and Kelly had me dripping with sweat. I like this workout its very time efficient and uses lots of compound moves to really give the most bang for your time on this one. I only used dumbells but it does give a great pump. I had fun with this one and it was quick which was nice because I still had to tackle Insanity Max Interval Plyo after this one. I know I do this to myself and I'm a insane workout slave driver but its so fun and you feel amazing afterwards so its worth it.

Total calories burned= 1,110:eek: I love that calorie burn!!!:p:cool:;)

I feel I have to apologize for not coming back to do personals last night time just got away from me and I forgot to come back. Please forgive me. I promise to come back in a couple of hours to do personals. Have a great Friday girls!;):)

Hugs,:)

Nora-great job as usual I have decided to take your advice and give Insanity a try if it starts to bother my knee I will just modifiy to make it work.

Nice workouts today girls!! You guys are so funny, loving the DOMS. We are one weird bunch, aren't we? (but weird in a GOOD way!)

I had a cardio day today too. And very busy day , errands and having my hubby's bday dinner and cake ... I did get in a great cardio though: Cardio Fusion, the all step premix. I would have done the BM2 cardio blast, since you guys have been raving about it, but it was too long. This premix ended with the 4 BM2 blasts though, so I had a great sweaty workout!

time to get back to dinner prepping!!! have a nice evenign everyone!!!

Good Evening,

I didn't do High Step Circuit I did Turbo Jam 3T with the blue band.

Stats:
32 min
18 in the zone
125 min hr
164 max hr
175 cals burned.

Hi girls!

I promised I'd be back for personals, I'm way late but I'm here. I apologize in advance for any typo's or spelling errors as I'm extremely exhausted and my MS fatigue is so bad that my symptoms- balance issues, walking issues and all motor skills with my right hand are definitely diminished today.

Debbie- Whoo hoo! Way to rock STS Kickbox + Core Conditioning todayt, nice calorie burn! That's a fun workout!;)

Jessica- WTG on the DOM'S lovin' workouts! STS, is da bomb in my opionion its so amazing and extensive in working thoroughly all muscle groups its the gold standard of lifting weights I think, but then all of cathe's stuff is like that!:) But take it easy if the next day after the Dom's feelin' if you need to take a break make that your rest day. Do something less taxing like go for a walk or yoga so that it loosens the tight muscles up but gently. Then your ready to hit it hard in Dom's city the next day. Way to go on your workout!!!

Jolene- Its so great you and Jessica had such a great workout its so cool to have a workout buddy, or a Dom's support buddy!:p Talk about sweating calves, that sounds like a awesome workout. I know there is nothing on me that isn't dripping puddles of sweat when I'm doing Insanity. That's not just a calorie burner its a darn heat seaking calorie burning lazer of a calorie burner. I but you'd like it if you liked Cathe's HiiT. Great job on your workout!;)

Heather- Girl your amazing! You definitely inspire me miss 5k PR.:D Trust me there are lots of days that forcing myself to finish a workout or even to workout is a victory in its self even if its not a stellar workout for me. I gave myself permission to be content with completing the workout on those days not trying to compare it to a kick butt workout day that I felt I rocked. Its okay to have a okay or good workout but not a great workout day. I've learned to be grateful for what I can do on a given day even if MS fatigue is kickin' my butt and I can barely grip any weights with my right hand or my balance is bad that day and I fall over. Hey, I did the workout and I finished it and that's ok because it beats the hell out of not moving or being able to workout physically at all. I'm not saying rest days are very important because they are. Over training is as bad as not training or working out, but take the rest day when you feel you need to, be safe and smart. You rocked another workout today even if you didn't feel it was one of your most awesome workouts done, you did it!!!! I say bravo!!!!:)

Melissa- Oh man, I did CTX Upperbody Split and let me tell you its a Dom's giver, yep! I did that one about a week or so ago. I think its one of the sleeper gems of Cathe's because its been out for sometime its one of the older ones and I don't think alot of people realize the older ones are awesome and cathe doesn't water anything down in terms of effectiveness, she still is happy to give us DOM's with a evil smile on her little face. LOL!!! Great workout Melissa, ^^^5's!:)

Belinda- Great to here from you. So sorry that your still having issues with your sinuses and ears. That's just not fun especially when your travelling. I hope your safe to fly. I know ear aches or sinus pressure issues can fell worse due to altitude changes. I'd ask your doctor so you won't be in agony on the flight back to Germany. Good for you to get a CCPP workout in, but girl not without A/C for me that would be bad news. I'd be need emergency treatment. MS and hot weather do not play well together. Its weird like instant paralysis with me. My legs just turn into wet noodles there's no strenght and it takes me several hours in AC to recover even then when I do its like a ran a marathon type fatigue. Definitely use the AC gym please. I know you didn't know the AC was broke in the first one but please be careful we don't want anymore hospitals in your near future and I'm sure your tired of all that any who! Please take care and feel better, and I hope they can get to the bottom of these relentless sinus and ear problems. Do they still do the tubes in the ears operation? I remember that was often done in the past for people that suffered chronic ear infections, this way they are able to drain so no infection? I don't know if thats a consideration in your situation but if it is might ask your doctor about it. I really want you to get all this sinus and ear stuff behind you as in a closed chapter not to haunt you any further. Please be well and Hugs to you!;)

Roxie- Great job on your workout!:) Oh cool on giving insanity a try. Remember to modify for you when needed and do what you can do as much as you can, don't feel pressured to keep up with them on the DVD. I'm sure from the looks of some of the participants are either athletes or trainers. Either way just listen to Shaun T and his demo's and just do it. The first 10 minutes of warm up feel like Cathe HiiT pyramid but you'll survive it I promise. Keep lots of cold water close by and a nice towel to wipe your sweat off your face. Its tough, challenging, and fun. You'll feel like a million bucks when your done. The first one is the Fit Test, and I'd sugest watching the workout all the way through which is 30 min first. Oh and don't skip the warm up or cool down you will need those. Just have fun and realize that even the people on the DVD are getting their butts kicked doing this workout. Even Shaun T is dripping with sweat and out of breath, so don't ever feel bad if you do. I find them doing that encouraging because I'm right in there with them doing that same thing too! Its a fun workout and its definitely worth a try and just modify to make it work for you, and always be safe. Have a fun and insane workout! Let me know what you think, ok. :)

Wendy- Hi's and waves to you girl, hope all is going great for you!;)

Seeya all at tomorrow's check in. Sleep well.;):)

Hugs!

Nora
