Good morning,


It's raining so bad in Germany, that we decited not to go to Prag:( they had bad flooding in 2002. We didn't wanted to be stuck in the hotel with 2 dogs and nothing to do. We did take day trips to the oldest Abbey Brewery /monastery Weltenburg, Bavaria!

You couldn't drive there, we had to go 1 mile. It was very nice!And it wasn't raining. DH and I will go back next weekend. We will bring the dogs and go hikiing, eat good food and have some good beer:p

Not sure what we will do today? My plan is to get a workout in today. We did so much walking on Sunday, yesterday was a rest day.

Today was cardio and I so wanted to try an hour Cardio Coach workout. So I started with one of the mixes I made up that started with the 2 - 8 minute treks. I got through the first 8 minutes, took the 2 minute rest and started the 2nd 8 minute trek. Within 3 minutes my hip flexor started to burn and get really tight again. It travelled all the way into my inner thigh.

I just don't understand this. Sometimes it bothers me and other times it doesn't. I've stayed off my treadmill for about 6 months and really thought the rest from it would help. Obviously it hasn't. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it. I stretched out really good afterwards and used my foam roller. I just can't believe how tight that muscle is right now. Very frustrating.

I ended up staying on my treadmill doing a steady state walk on a 3% incline (which ended up bothering me, too) and got an hour in.

I did Athletic Step last night. I was a bundle of anxious energy so I needed to burn it off!! I have a feeling I'll be like that all week trying to pack and get ready for vacation.

I will be MIA tomorrow. Going up to Maine for the day with my family. I'm hoping I'll be able to fit in a CC before we leave, though.
 
This morning it's only 73 degrees!!!!!!! There are no words to describe how happy everyone seems right about now. This is the coolest it's been in well over 3 weeks. Needless to say, a run was a must. I got up and did biceps and triceps doing drop sets of 4x10 except with preacher curls. I felt sooo weak though.

Hammer curls - 20's, 17's, 16's, 15's (failed at 9th rep on 3rd set)
Overhead tricep extension - 30, 27, 25, 22
Zottman curls - 17's, 16's, 15's, 14's (forearms on fire)
Double-arm kickbacks - 13's, 12's, 11's, 10's
Preacher curls - 15's, 13's, 12's, 11's (could only eek out 4x8, these suck so bad)
Lying dumbbell triceps extensions - 16's, 15's, 13's, 12's
1 set of 21's - 15's (15's have never felt so heavy)
Weighted triceps dips - 16 reps with 20#

Followed this up with a 4-mile run with DH.

Belinda - sorry your trip got rained out. That stinks.

Debbie - wonder what causes the tightness some days but not others? When you're at work, do you sit all day? And then maybe the next morning if you do the treadmill that might be the cause? Or does it happen even after a day off? Just tossing stuff out there. I'm clueless obviously LOL

Roxie - nicely done with your weights. Sorry to hear the wrist is getting worse though.

Nora - 95 is chilly here :eek: Good job with your workout!

Tonite for me is some kind of cardio was going to go for a walk but its suppose to rain all day.

Belinda-to bad about the rain but it sounds like you had a nice time.

Debbie-do you stretch alot? I find I am really bad about that.

Heather-doesn't it feel great outside? Its cloudy and rainy here.

Melissa-enjoy your workout tonite and your trip tomarrow.
 
Hi Girls.

woke up with a knife digging into my right sinus. plus nausea. awful. did my Neti Pot, and it might have helped a little.

I truly did not want to skip another workout day, so after I dropped my oldest off at camp, i did turbo fire 30 class + stretch 10. Felt like puking a few times, and not from the workout! LOL!. nice.

the stretch felt awesome though.

The pain is gone, but my head is dizzy still. Oh well, can't have it all.

Belinda: Sorry about the rain. But it looks like you made the best of it! Hope you find a fun cardio to do today.

Debbie: that really really is frustrating with your hip flexor. Is there any way you can visit a physical therapist to get exercises and stretches to fix it? I know you rested it, but it sounds like it needs strengthening too. You could get some stuff for your neck too.

Heather: YAY for nicer weather!!! Awesome workout and run! I've been getting wicked run urges lately, longing for it even! Soon, soon...

Roxie: Nice workout last night and good luck with tonights!!!

Melissa: AS is a good stress reliever! I enjoyed HIS from 4DS on Saturday. Enjoy your day in Maine!! (where abouts in ME are you going?)

Nora: How did you catch up with me on TF? LOL! I'm on week #8 too. But at the end of it. Have you done any of the Deluxe workouts yet? Mine are on their way!!

Yes, I have a desk job. But I've had a desk job for YEARS. I'm not sure what's going on, but it's very frustrating. I was just telling my dh the other day that I'll probably have to stop working out due to all my ailments. Yeesh, my neck, hip flexor, knees, both shoulders now. I'm falling apart!

Roxie - I do stretch. Not alot, but I do after each workout. I know I need to do more of that, though.

Chris - I'm sorry you are feeling so cruddy. That has to be horrible. Have you been to the doctors? Thanks about my issue. I'm not a big doctor person. I try to do everything possible before resorting to the doctor. I've never been to a physical therapist. Not sure my insurance would cover it, that's another concernt. I probably should look into it, though.

So like I told Melissa, I'm finally going to take a weeks vacation next week! I've been training a girl here for the last 5 weeks to do my job and hopefully she'll be ok. I'm actually not even going to worry about it. It's about time this place sees how it is without me around. ;)
 
Debbie - I try to not rest between the sets. I'll admit to some slight cheating once I get to halfway through the 3rd drop, but my goal is no rest. Which of course is why it probably seemed to suck worse than normal :eek:

Congrats on finally getting a whole week off!!!! Where are you going? You better not give that place a single thought the whole time you're off.

Thanks. We are just going to go here and there. Probably the islands for a day or two, motorcycling here and there. Just being away from here is vacation enough for me. I won't even be answering my cell phone!
