Crazy Strong and Loving It July

Today I tired out the new workout I got a couple weeks back. It's from Cathe's Low Impact series and it was the Low Impact Lower Body Trisets. I really liked it and it's a quick workout. Very intense, though. My legs are still feeling it.

This is what I did:

Triset #1
Wall Squats - 12's/16 reps
Lunges w/Dixie Cups - 16 reps each side
Side Leaning Lunges w/Dixie Cups - 16 reps each side
Repeat but I used 15's for the 2nd set of Wall Squats.

Legs were burning...

Triset #2
Step Up's w/back Lunges - 5's/12 reps, used 4 risers
Elevated Lunges w/Dixie Cups - 16 reps, used 2 risers
Dumbbell Squats - 15's/16 reps
Repeat

Legs were jello....

Triset #3
Deadlifts - 15's/16 reps
One-Legged Squats - 3's/16 reps each side
Stability Ball Roll-Ins - 12 reps
Repeat - I used both legs for the Roll-Ins because this hurts my knees when I do one leg at a time.

Legs were numb...

Great workout, I'm going to do the upper body workout on Thursday. Looking forward to it. The only complaint I have about this workout is the music sucked.

I did my trainers Week 2 Workout 1 and it was a tough workout and then I did 30 minutes on the TM to loosen things up and then I stretched.

Week 2 Workout 1 (steps or risers)
Plank on Forearm 1 min
Jacks (hands on high step) 30 reps
Pushups 15 reps
Dips 20 reps
Lunge Pulses (keep one foot on riser) 30 each leg
Step Ups (do quickly) 15 each leg
Repeat 3 times.

Debbie-I think that was the common complaint with that workout. Good job with the wts.

Just got done with Xtrain Bi's & Tri's and then did Core #1 and 40 Burpees.

yesterday I was wiped from work. VERY busy and worked late. I only did my challenge work: 2 min plank hold and 35 push ups (on my toes, I took breaks, but did them all on my toes). and I swam in the pool, did laps and floated on my floatie!!! :eek:

Debbie: I did that Lower BOdy trisets last week. It's a good one!! I didn't even notice the music to tell you the truth... It moves pretty quick.

Roxie: that sounds like a great circuit workout!

Due to the lateness of my workout I'm really running very late and need to skip personals today. It's been a crazy week thus far and its only Tuesday, ugh!!!

Today I did Cardio Coach #3 and then Yoga Stretch by Karen Voight. I am so sore from yesterday's leg workout I don't even know how I was able to run on my treadmill. The stretching felt good, but it was even hard to do that.

Chris - After a while I just tuned out the music, but it sure isn't like her other workouts. Most of her workouts have excellent music in them. I was surprised.
 
Today was Crossfire Less Impact Premix + 80 Squats for the Summer CHallenge I'm in. That premix was pretty decent! I seriously worked up to puke status!! and very little impact for my PF foot!

Debbie, I bet your legs were sore!! ... Back to that triset workout. I hate those roll ins on the ball!! My nemesis!! I do them 2 legged too. They kill my calves, oddly enough. Nice workout today!! I bet that yoga felt good.

Today was the Low Impact Upper Body Trisets workout and I had a great time with it. Loved the exercises Cathe has in this one but I was a bit worried with some of the shoulder work. However, I went light and I feel great right now. I'm coming to the acceptance that if I want to lift, I need to do it light and smart. I'm seeing changes already, even though i'm not lifting heavy. I like it. No bulk, just cuts. And it's amazing how quickly my body responds to weight work. I love it!

The music in this one sucked, too. It sounds like Cathe was on an acid trip doing these workouts. :eek: Another complaint is the warmup and cooldown was the same from the lower body workout. :rolleyes:

Here is what I did:

Triset #1
Soldier Plank Pushups - 16 reps
Shoulder Incline Press - 10's/16 reps (2nd set 8's)
Lying Triceps Extension on Ball - 8's/16 reps
REPEAT - I just did regular pushups.

Triset #2
Cross-Over Leg Pushups - 16 reps
Incline Shoulder Arches - 3's/15 reps
Plank Kickbacks - 5's/12 reps
REPEAT - I just did regular pushups. I did not do the Plank Kickbacks, I just did to modification Cathe showed.

Triset #3
Alternate Chest Flyes - 12's/16 reps
External Rotation Lateral Raise - 5's/10 reps
Dive Bombers or See Saw Pushups - 10 reps
REPEAT - I did the See Saw Pushups.

Triset #4
One-Arm Rows w/Leg Lifts - 12#/15 reps
Incline Hammer Curls w/Twist - 12's/16 reps
Ball Crunches - 8#/16 reps
REPEAT - I didn't like the ball crunches, didn't feel them. Next time I'll do something different.

Triset #5
Stability Ball Pullovers - 12#/15 reps
Alternate Curls - 12#/16 reps
Ball Exchange - 20 reps
REPEAT

Triset #6
Rear Delt Flyes - 3's/16 reps
Concentration Curls over SB - 12#/15 reps
Reverse Crunches - 32 reps
REPEAT

Good Afternoon,

I spent the morning cleaning so my workout was late. I didn't get one in yesterday we went to the lake. I did WK2 Workout2 of that rotation from my trainer and then did CK25 WK6 D2 and Shaun T Rockin Body Mark, Move & Groove.

Workout 2:
Russian Twists 30 reps (6lb med ball)
Toe Touches 30 reps (6lb med ball)
Walking Lunges 50 reps (med ball above the head)
Lunge Jumps 40 reps
Reverse Lunges 10 reps each leg no wts.
Repeat 3 times.

Debbie-nice to see you doing the wts again and glad to hear you can see results already.

Today was cardio and I chose Run Fit. Love that workout. I usually average 3.25 miles on this one. I've been striving to get another .25 miles out of this workout but it seems impossible. I need to run faster on the sprints and pace runs and I try but can't seem to get much faster without having my heart feel like it's going to explode. That is my goal, though, so maybe someday I'll reach 3.5 miles on this one.

I did LIS Athletic Training and I forgot how tough this one was I had to use 5lb wts and no risers my legs were shaking all the way through and I have done core work 2 days in a row so my core should be stronger.

Debbie-where can I find those Runfit workouts? Good job today and thank you.

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone:D Italy was amazing, wished we stayed longer. The internet connection was so slow in Italy. Had lots of fun with my sisters. The weather was perfect too. I ate way to much pizza and pasta:rolleyes: And of course had way to much wine:eek: Oh well! We are back in Nuremberg. I worked out a few times in Italy using my DVDs. DH and I walked a lot, mostly hills.

My plan is to start Turbo Jam Elite rotation on Monday.

I will read and try to catch up on personals Monday.
 
My goal today was just to get some sort of cardio in. I woke up with a headache and really didn't feel like doing much. I decided to do some of Press Play and not give it my all, just get some of it done. Well, ended up I did the entire workout and had a killer calorie burn. I'm very happy with this and love when this happens! I was a sweaty mess when I got done.

That is one thing she never treats herself to is new clothes. I hope I can find some cute tops there. Sometimes Kohl's doesn't have that great of stuff unless your 15 years old.

Trainer Workout: (barbell work)
Chest Press + Leg Lift 20 reps 16lbs
Skull Crushers 20 reps 16lbs
Bicep Curls 20 reps 16lbs
Overhead Press 20 reps 16lbs
Deadlift 20 reps 20lb then 36lbs x2
Forward Lunge 20 reps total 20lbs, 36lbs then back down to 16lb knees didn't like higher wt.
Reverse Lunge 20 reps 20lbs, 36lbs, 16lbs
Squats 20 reps 20lbs, 36lbs, 20lbs again knee issues.
Repeat 3 times

Good Morning,

I am going to go for a walk this morning my legs are screaming from yesterday especially my glutes. I have to go to another funeral a cousin of mine came home from work laid down and never got up his girlfriend found him when she got home.
