Crazy Strong and Loving It for September 21, 2009

Hi ladies. Today I plan on doing PS biceps and triceps. I am thinking I might do Imax 2 as well.

Good Morning,

Today is a crappy day lightening, thunder, rain and cold. Tonite was suppose to be legs but since I never got chest and stuff done I will do it tonite. DH and I went for a 6 mile walk last nite didn't see any deer but we saw turkeys and snakes.

Today was Meso 2, Week 2, Disc 17, Legs. I'm really loving these tri-set leg workouts. Makes the workout go by fast and I love the combo's Cathe comes up with.

Anyone who has done these workouts, do you notice how the warmup that Cathe does doesn't go with the music? That is so frustrating. She is so off beat that it's hard for me to keep with her. Is it just me?

TRISET #1
Squats Narrow Stance - 32's/10 reps
45 Degree Lunge (Same Leg) - 25's/10 reps
One Leg Sit N Slide with Paper Plate - 12#/10 reps
***1 minute rest between each triset. Did 3 trisets.

TRISET #2
Static Lunge - 25's/10 reps
Plie Squats Alternating Hand - 32#/10 reps
One Leg Slide Back Lunges with Paper Plate - 12's/10 reps
***1 minute rest between each triset. Did 3 trisets. I really love the Plie Squats. I really feel those.

TRISET #3
Squats Wide Stance - 32's/10 reps
One Leg Elevated Lunges (Bulgarian Split Squats) - 15#/20#/ 10 reps (2nd and 3rd set were done with 20#)
Deadlifts Wide Stance - 25's/10 reps
***1 minute rest between each triset. Did 3 trisets.

One Legged Calf Raises (dumbbell) - 20#/20 reps each leg
***Did 3 rounds of calf raises. No rest and the rep counts varied. I really felt these.

This weekend I did PUB down only and CC 6. I'm feeling good, I've got some days off and looking forward to some great workouts. That being said, I don't know exactly what I'll do today.....it's like I'm all amped up with no place to go!

Today I'm starting to feel a bit back to normal. I know I shouldn't push it, but I REALLY want to continue with Week #2 of MESO 1. *sigh* We'll see how I am this afternoon. My appetite is better this morning, though. No fever, no body aches, just feel kind of lightheaded and tired. Think I should try it this afternoon?

Debbie: I've definitley noticed the warm-ups are off on the music. AND, they'll show someone who's on the OPPOSITE side of where I am (and where Cathe ends up being). It does annoy me, but I've convinced myself as long as I'm moving and warming up, it's ok.

Heather: Sounds like a great plan today! How did your DH's party go , was it Friday?

Roxie: OMG, you saw SNAKES? That would have gotten some sprints out of me! LOL! Have a good workout today!

Wendy: Wish I had some of your "amped-up-ness"!!!
 
Chris - glad you're starting to feel better, but it doesn't sound like you should try to take on Week 2 of Meso 1 today. I'd give it another day at least! DH's party was Friday, and it went off without a hitch. It was a low-key party really, but it was nice.

Hi girls!;)

It's supposed to get into the 90 degree temps today and the next couple of days, ugh! Not good for those of us with MS.

Here's today's workout per Cathe's September 2009 rotation:


4DS Kickboxing/Legs/Core= 71 Minutes
Calories burned= 597

Its been a while since I've done this entire dvd as a workout without only doing individual chapters of it or using just a premix. So, this was really fun and refreshing to appreciate this DVD in a new way. Good stuff, but then its Cathe so that's a given, right?;) I wanted to add a Cardio Coach on to this but my knees were bugging me so I thought I'd better not, maybe leave it for another day, and see how my knees are feeling.
