Good morning,

I will go to the gym today. I also have an appointment with my PT this afternoon.

Thanks Debbie, I did enjoy MM! I went very light with my back workout, couldn’t lift 15’s yesterday. I stayed with 10’s for my back workout. It’s just frustrating to see that low cal. burn. As usually great job with your workout, I am always impressed with your workouts.

Heather, I just can’t get my HR up, lifting with very light weights. LOL! I am also looking into a TM or a TC once with go back to the states.

Rockie, congrats on your weight loss! Nice job on your workout yesterday.

Wendy, poor thing! Hope your DD is feeling better today. WTG, on your cal. burn, girl! I am trying to get 3 full body workouts in week, making sure I still keep my muscles. Which by the way, I think I am losing.

Nora, impressive workout yesterday, girl! Take care of your back and knees! My STS is collecting dust.:confused:

Hi everyone. Another rainy day here...blah...

Yesterday I almost decided to make it a rest day. Instead I sucked it up and went up to the gym. My legs were sore from doing leg work on Sunday, but I sort of thought running might loosen them up a bit. WRONG. They were already twice as sore by the time I made it home. I did do abs and stretched. Tonight I see an epsom salt soak in store. My hip flexor is a bit tight too. I may end up resting tonight if it doesn't ease up throughout the day. That's the only problem with desk jobs though, not being up and moving is not conducive to already sore muscles.

Belinda - enjoy your workout today!

Nora - when I read your post last night, it made me glad that I went up to the gym regardless. If you can do it, darn it, so can I!

Wendy - how is your DD today? I can't remember when I got my first migraine. I've heard of kids getting them even sooner.

Roxie - how are you feeling today?

Debbie - how are you feeling as well? hope you're over whatever was causing you to feel bad yesterday.

Good Morning,

Was having some weird dreams last nite so I didn't sleep well so I didn't get up to workout so tonite will be KCMs 30min KB. I cancelled my pre-order for Shock Cardio last nite.

Heaher-Aunt Flo hit yesterday so you can probably imagine how I feel. Hope your legs get loosened up soon.

Belinda-It doesn't matter how heavy you lift as long as you do. I am enjoying Zen Sculpt you only use 3lbs but the moves have a flow and when you are done you feel the muscles you worked.
 
I'm feeling MUCH better today. No headache at all. Had a great workout this morning. I chose Strike Zone and I wore my 1# workout gloves. I really love this workout. Very fun and it flies by. I skipped Strike 9 again. I just have no desire to do those spiderwebs. They look like an injury waiting to happen. No thanks.

Then I did the Oxygen Ab Routine that I love doing.

3 trisets - 1 minute rest between each triset:
Hanging Knee Raises - 15/12/10 reps
Bench V-Ups - 15/12/10 reps
Reverse Bench Crunch - 15/12/10 reps
***Reps were cut with each triset. These really burned. I was going to add a 4th set and 8 reps on the last one but was wiped out by the end.

I hear Tracey is working on her second Strike Zone workout, although I don't believe she's calling SZ2. I can't wait!!!

Nora - What is KCM?? Who is the instructor? Sounds like something I might like.

Wendy - Hope your daughter is better. I just had one of those last week where my vision got all messed up and I got a migraine. Luckily I know the signs so I took two Excederin and it didn't hit me as hard as it would have. I hope she's ok now.

Roxie - Why are you getting sick all the time? That doesn't sound good. Could you be pregnant? :eek:

Heather - Hope those legs loosen up. Nice job working out on a rest day!

Hey Girls...

Yesterday, I took another "rest day". I actually slept 2 hours after working all night, drove back into work, to find out that as of January 10th, I will lose my weekend bonus. It's a HUGE pay cut. There were options to pick up time, but none that really could work with my DH's work schedules (which are unpredictable, which is the problem).

Today, I'm feeling in an emotional funk. Plus it's cloudy and dreary and cold out. Adds to it. I didn't even FEEL like working out (definitely not like myself!). But I went and MADE myself do a cardio. Turbo Jam: Punch Kick and Jam. It was fun and a good sweat, I also added in the Floor Work from Ab Jam.

Still bummed and feeling down though.
 
Chris - so sorry to hear this. Glad you got the workout in though. I am sure that helped some even if you are still feeling down. Hopefully the weather will turn around and that'll help too. We have had so much rain here that I know all about the weather funk. Just read on the local news that we have only had 7 days of sunshine this month!

I don't know exactly what your work situation has been, so I can't offer any suggestions, but I'll send out hugs!

Chris - I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm telling you, companies are just using the economy cry as an excuse to cut pay and get rid of people to save them money. I swear, all this crap isn't necessary. Really burns me up. :mad:

Yes, thank you, DD is feeling better. She was totally wiped out on Sunday. But she's up and at it like a trooper. Hasn't missed school and scored a goal at soccer last night! Thank you for your kindness...
Yesterday was a rest day, and tomorrow will be a rest day (unless something miraculous happens, like God gives us 26 hours in the day tomorrow). So today Disc 8 is on tap. I'll try to check in afterward.
Debbie, glad you're better! Did your mom like her kitchen?
Chris, I'm sorry to hear about your weekend bonus going away. I'm hoping something shakes up with your schedule and maybe you won't have to work those hideous nights on the weekend...?!?!??!

Debbie-that would be the worst ever but no I had my tubes tied and I am on BC pills, and Aunt Flo is visiting. I am under alot of stress at work and DH and I had a round on Friday about the cigarettes in his car so I have stress at home and that is causing most of it. I need to find a new job and a better way to handle or relieve my stress.

Chri-sorry to hear you are so bummed out and that really stinks what happen to incentives to get people to work this economy is ruining things for everyone.

Chris, so sorry to hear this. That’s sucks! (((HUGS)))Glad the workout helped a little. I am starting to get depressed with that crappy weather we are having. It rains a lot in Germany.

Wendy, glad your DD is feeling better today. I forgot to ask about the foam roller, I am so forgetful. I think, its age. LOL! I will ask on Thursday. Have fun with disc 8 today. Enjoy your rest day tomorrow.

Disc 8 done. Whew! I just keep thinking, "next mesocycle there are fewer reps!" But then I remember the weights will be heavier, too. And I'm failing a lot right now!! Yikes!
Chris, yep, go ahead and indulge in a good "funk" day. We don't have the answers and we can't see into the future, and sometimes we just need to regroup. Wallow around and then feel better soon, okay? Kids doing okay? Husbands job okay? There's always something in the "plus" column.

Belinda- Glad your being careful with the weights eventhough you know your capable of lifting heavier, but your back isn't up for that. Muscle Max is a very good total body weight workout. I have that one and I'm glad I have it. I hope today's workout went well and everything was very productive at the PT. Nice workout today Belinda, I just read your last post. Keep up the great job and be careful with your back. ;)

Heather- So sorry you have DOMS after yesterdays workout. Definitely listen to your body today and rest if you think that's what you need. I'd opt for that nice warm epsom salt bath tonight and maybe taking some advil to ease the muscle discomfort. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I'm flattered I motivated you to workout yesterday,but that's without the DOMS of course!:)

Roxie- I hope things calm down for you stress wise and that will help with your stomach issues. Definitely, working can help to vent some of that stress in a more positive way. Yoga is a great stress reliever too, very calming. Please take care Roxie;)

Debbie- Happy to hear no headache for you today, that's awesome. Strikezone is so much fun. I can't wait for Strikezone 2 to come out. It should be fun too. I know what you mean about the spider webs I have weak wrists so push ups or stuff like that really are tough to near impossible for me to do. I will try a couple of the spiderwebs, but realize that it won't be a terrible thing if I can't do all of them. KCM is Kelly Coffey-Meyer she's the instructor. here's a link to her website

Chris- I'm sorry that your losing your weekend pay, that sucks. Maybe something will happen that they reinstate things. Try not to stress about it since its not something you have control over. Just hang in there and think positive maybe things will change. Make sure to keep doing fun workouts to get rid of that stress. Take care of yourself, ok.;)

Wendy- Glad that your DD is feeling better. Congrats on her kicking a goal!!!
Ah Wendy, we could so talk about rain, I'm in Oregon it rains most all the time. LOL!! Native Oregonians, like myself go crazy when the sun comes out and its 60 degrees outside everyone makes a mad dash to wear shorts etc... LOL!!
