I am done with Muscle Max! Had a great workout, I shouldn't even post my cal burn:confused:, I burned only 237 cal. WTH! I hate lifting so light, can't get my HR up.

Well, today was Meso 3, Week 2, Disc 29, Plyo Legs. Before I get into the workout, yesterday I had lunch with my mom and we had linguini alfredo w/crab. Ever since I've had a screaming headache and an upset stomach. Yesterday all I did was lay on the couch and dozed in and out. I felt pretty good this morning when I got up, but 3/4 way through this workout I felt like I was going to puke and my head started hurting really bad. I decided to stop the workout, which I don't believe I've ever done before.

This was the workout, it was different from last week which surprised me. I liked it, but the plyo work was really hard for me today. I know it's because of how I feel.

Squats - 35's/12 reps
Down- Up Jumps
Step Up with Hand Weights - 25's/12 reps
Butt Kicks Over Step
Close Stance One Leg Squats - 12's/12 reps each side
Rock Climbers on Floor - (these sucked!)
Drop Side Lunge onto Step - 20#/12 reps each side
Straddle Down jump Up with Knee Lift
Back Lunge Alternating off Step - 15's/24 reps
Explosive Running Man - (I liked these)
Deadlifts Wide Stance - 30's/12 reps
Lateral Crossovers on Step with Weight - 8#
Drop Side Lunge on Floor into Leg Abduction - 20#/12 each side
Squat thrust and Jump onto box and Step Off - (These sucked too)
Alternating Front Lunge - 15's/24 reps
Lunge taps on Step with Finger tips touching
Static Lunge - 15's/12 reps each side
Half Turn Jumps Right Side - 8#/15 reps to right
One Leg Sit N Slide with Paper Plate - 12#/12 reps each side
Plyo Jacks - Here is where I thought I was going to lose my protein shake
Plie Squats Alternating Hand - 25#/12 reps
Tuck Jumps - Did these half-assed and this is where I sotpped.

Didn't do these:
One Leg Elevated Lunges
Half Turn Jumps Left Side
Sit N Stands
Power Scissors Alternating
Sequential Lunge Into Front Kick Combo
Slow Air jacks


Still have a headache and upset stomach. I wish I could take today off but it's invoicing day.

On a positive note, I got two new CD's this weekend: Pink, "Funhouse" and Breaking Benjamin, "Dear Agony". I was so estatic to see a new Breaking Benjamin CD. It is SO GOOD too!! And Pink's CD is really good too. She's awesome!

Well, the rain is back. Makes it soooo hard to get moving on a Monday. Not really sure what I am going to do today. Thought I might go up to the gym and do some tempo drills. But with the rain, I have a huge purse plus the bag I carry my rainboots in so then I'd have my gym bag on top of all that. Need a freaking dolly to get it all there and back to my car! So, we'll see. I really and truly do NOT want to do a step DVD today. I feel like I need a super high calorie burn though. Bad eats yesterday :( . I also am feeling like I need a break though. Talk about bad timing. Guess I need to clean up my act.

Debbie - hope you feel better. Have you ever had that reaction to something you've eaten before? Food poisoning perhaps??? BTW - love that Pink album. It's one of my favs, that and the new Black Eyed Peas.

Belinda - Good job with your workout even if it wasn't a high calorie burner. I had one of those days yesterday. Just did not feel up to cardio.

Well I am down another lb this week 120.6 and I have lost 3 inches in the waist, 1" in the baby pooch and 1" in my hips. I threw up again last nite so that helped with the wt. I got up this morning and did Zen Sculpt.

Stats:
42 min
28 in the zone
141 min hr
177 max hr
285 cals burned.

Did Am Yoga yesterday
Stats:
35 min
5 in the zone
111 min hr
142 max hr
146 cals burned.

Hi girls -

Well, I spent most of they day yesterday watching over my 9 y/o DD. She had a migraine! Her first. She was working on her homework and her vision started going. Then the pain kicked in. And within 1/2 hour she threw up. My husband was here and he said that he used to get them when he was in school. But she's so young - 9! Really?! A migraine?!?! We closed the blinds and curtains and she rested/slept for the better part of 5 hours. I had called the advice nurse, too. And since she had no other symptoms they didn't need me to bring her in. I sat and worked on my bible study and just tried to be available when she started to whimper. Gosh, I felt so bad.
So during all of this I kept grabbing handfuls of chocolate covered raisins and grazing in the kitchen. When my husband finally got back home, I went upstairs and worked out!
I did Imax Xtreme from the Terminator. Then I did C&W abs. Then I did 25 min on the bike. I burned over 700 calories! Good! Because I'd also had a huge bowl of beef stew that I'd made earlier and I put egg noodles in it!
Sorry to hear that you had a rough day yesterday, too Debbie. I hope it passes. And Roxie, you threw up again? Illness? Stress? What's the deal?
Belinda, weight work in itself may not be a high calorie burn, but it definitely continues to work it's magic throughout the day! Good job.

Roxie - we have talked about getting one. We really need to, but we would need a higher end treadmill and we don't have a lot of extra space. So it comes down to money and space issues. But it's definitely something that we need to do since DH also trains for triathlons. It'd be soooo convenient!

Good afternoon girls, I thought I'd shock everyone and check in early today! LOL, ok well earlier than my ususal.

Here's today's workout:

KCM Cardio Kick Step-Boxing-Vertical Mix= 39.5 Min
Calories burned= 346
Also did the abs included in that mix. Very fun love the combination of kickbox and step. :eek:

STS Meso3, Disc#29 Plyo Legs= 50 Min
Calories burned= 388

Due to sore back and knees I had to reduce the number of risers to 2 and 3 to reduce impact to both knees and back. I still love STS Plyo Legs, so much fun!

Belinda- Great job! It still counts even if the calorie burn is not where you;d like it to be. Remember your body will continue to burn calories long after you've finished your workout and weights are especially great for that. Lighter weight you can get leaner sculpting type look, so that's good. Just take care of your back, ok kiddo be safe.;)

Roxie- I'm sorry your still having stomach issues. Maybe you should make an appointment to see your doctor. He/She may be able to help.

Debbie- Your workouts are always amazing. I'm always so impressed with your workouts and the weights you lift, your a star!;)
