Hi and good morning,

I am sore this morning:rolleyes: I have an appointment with the PT this morning, at least she is gonna tell me what and what I can't do anymore and how to train with good form.

Today I will go to the gym if she is up too:eek: and so some cardio. If not I will figure something else out.

Have a great day and workout, everyone! BBL!

Hi ladies,

I just came back from my physical therapy. All that pressing she did on my back really hurt. What she wants to do is core stabilization. She is gonna work with me twice a week for 4 weeks starting tomorrow. On top I am still getting my massages. LOL! I should be as good as new. She wants me to keep exercising. Still no running until the pain in my back flairs up. She still doesn’t want me to run this week (maybe next week?), but told me to use the elliptical or the TreadClimber. As far as weight training goes, she said for now no heavy lifting, nothing over 10 - 15 lb DB for UB, absolutely NO deadlifts or anything bending over. Lunges or squats are fine; yesterday I used a 45 lb BB for squats and deadlifts (that is probably why my back hurts today) yesterday. LOL! I have to avoid some of the ab exercises that put a lot of pressure on my back, but she will work with me on that. I am really happy I saw the PT today; it is giving me hope that one day I will be back on track. I almost wanna cancel Shock Cardio; I don’t think I ever will do all those jumping jacks and high intensity again. I have to be careful for my disc not to shift.

I will be back to report my workout. REPEAT AFTER ME:p I WILL GO TO THE GYM TODAY. I NEED A GOOD CARDIO TODAY.;) bbl!

Today my plan is 4DS legs. I am either going to just repeat the workout or add on legs from MM.

Belinda - I had to go through PT for a hip injury and I was ALWAYS in more pain after the sessions. It was more like torture! At least your PT can get you going in the right direction.

Roxie - How are you feeling today?

Heather

Debbie - I have a weight question for you if you don't mind. What were your workouts like before you started STS? Did you always use DVDs for lifting or were there exercises and reps (and rep patterns) that you used to set up your own workouts?

I really gained so much definition and muscle with STS. As much as I loved it, I don't want that to be my only workout. I felt that I maintained my gains using the 8 wk strength rotation I set up with Patti, however, I also feel like I started losing a bit of the endurance. So, trying that now, but now I feel like I'm starting to lose just a bit of definition. Prob nothing really noticeable to anyone but me. But, you know how that is.

I was just curious how to incorporate strength and endurance (or maybe you don't). I really like just working the muscle group once a week rather than doing 2 full bodies or 2 upper and 2 lowers. I feel like I have soooo much more time now! LOL.

Anyway, any thoughts or suggestions would be really appreciated (anyone can chime in on what's worked for them too please!)

Thanks as always,
Heather

Good Morning Everyone!

The sun is shining brightly on the yellow, orange and red leaves, it looks awesome out, and I'm planning a run at the park!

First, i'm going to do an ab workout at home. Let it warm up just a tinge outside. I might even go to the Bon Ton first...

I saw the HiiT blog and pictures! VERY cool. It reminds me of Plyo Legs, Love it!!!

Better go start my ab work. For some reason I have motiation and energy to burn right now

Today was cardio and truthfully, I had no desire to do any cardio. It took all I had to get on my treadmill and do Cardio Coach #6 with Candace. I didn't give it my all, in fact, I barely hit my level 3. But at least I did something. I could have easily slept in this morning.

HR STATS:
57 minutes total
6 minutes below zone
23 minutes in zone
29 minutes above zone
3.25 miles travelled
442 calories burned

Stats look really good knowing the effort I put into this workout. :)

Nora - Nice workouts yesterday, I just don't know how you have the time to do all that every day. You go girl!!! I have Kimberly Spreens KB workout and I don't find it at all challenging. Maybe the one you did is a better workout? I like her, though, she is a good instructor.

Belinda - I'm glad the PT was able to help you and hopefully your pain will be gone. I fear the day my back acts up again, I went through years of chronic pain, it was aweful. I feel bad for anyone suffering from back pain.

Heather - I don't always do DVD workouts. In fact, usually I find rotations out of the Men's M&F magazine and do those on my own. I also have done a lot of rotations from Chad Waterbury. I got them on another forum but can't think of the site right now. I usually do heavy lifting. The beginning of this year is when I went with more endurance but it's been years since I've done that. I needed the change.

Debbie - I felt the same way about doing any sort of workout yesterday. I had trouble keeping my HR up as well, but I got it done too. Sounds like it was a good burner even if you weren't really into it.

I have been looking at some of the rotations and suggestions in recent Oxygen magazines and have started thinking about trying some of those for a while so I'm glad to hear you had success getting rotations from magazine sources.

Thanks!
Heather

Hi girls,

I ended up doing CCV4 on the TM today;) Burned 494 cal. Had a great run. I know, I shoudn't run, but all the TC were not working or taken.

I will be back later!

Hi girls -

Really, Belinda?!?!? CC on the TM? The PT just told you not to......stubborn! I hope you're not paying for that later. Hugs to you and DD.

Yesterday was a rest day. And I never posted that on Sunday I also rode the recumbent bike for 12 miles while I watched the news. 50 min/ 335 calories.

Today is Disc 5. Then I work. But hopefully I'll get a chance to post again...

Checking in -

Disc 5 done! Whew - it felt heavy today! I then did 3.1 miles on TM after a protein shake. Off to work now. Tomorrow will be a rest day so that's why I got some cardio in today also.
Have a great day!

I did legs from 4DS and added on some of the legs from MM (static lunges and the plie squats). I did repeat the first set of squats and deadlifts from 4DS.

Wendy - good job getting in the cardio too! Definitely deserve that rest day tomorrow.

Heather

I decided to do Slo-Robics by Ellen Barrett I recorded off of fittv I can tell I haven't worked out for a while my muscles are shaking.

Stats:
45 min
31 in the zone
136 min hr
177 max hr
283 cals burned.

Hi girls!;)

Let me just say I'm so not worthy, LOL!! You guys do some killer workouts, you are awesome. Congrats on all your workouts.

here's today's workout:

Cardio Coach Volume 1= 35 Minutes
Distance=3.0
Calories burned=447
BPM's=127,141,144,145,139,145,145,152,153,153,150,155,124. The majority of the time I was working in the 80 to 85% of my max Heart rate range. So, it was a good workout.

STS Meso1,Disc#3,Legs=53 Min
Calories burned=411

Debbie- Aww thanks for the compliments:eek: I'm a stay at home mom and I have MS. Its gotten so much harder for me to do as much in a day as I used to or as fast too. Working out is something I do to help me with my depression and to improve and maintain strength, and my mobility. Its what I do to fight my MS and be me as long as I can or at least some semblance of it.

Belinda- I hope you get a list of cardio that would be ok for you to do from your physical therapist. Probably not anything with impact is my guess but I'd listen to what she and your doctor recommend, they are the pro's listen to them. Good luck with everything and be well. Hugs!

that's it for me today, I'm tired and I think I'd better go eat. Have a good night ladies. Seeya at tomorrow's check in.

Hugs!;):)

Heather, great job with the 4DS today. I hope PT isn’t torture, lol!

Chris, hope you enjoyed your run today.

Debbie, awesome job with CCV6 today. Did you see a PT for your back pain? If so, what did they do? She has me doing all kinds of different core exercises. I definatly felt them in my core and back.

Wendy, I am very stubborn! I am tired of everything. I felt good after my run. Thanks for the hugs! WTG, on disc 5 and your run today. Enjoy your rest day tomrrow.

Rockie, glad you feeling better. Nice job with your workout today.

Nora, what do you mean you are not worthy? LOL! Love CCV1! Awesome job with disc 3 and your run. I will listen to my PT from here on out, I promise. Put the TM was calling my name today. Couldn’t help myself, lol!

Have a great night!
