Crazy Strong and Loving It for Nov 3, 2009

Cathlete
Hi and good morning,

I went to the gym at 7 a.m, did CCV2 on the elliptical. All the TC were taking. Still had a great workout. Traveled 3.45 miles, burned 400 cal.

I will be back!

I couldn't sleep at all this morning so I finally got up around 5:20 and did KPC (including the abs). I thought it'd be an easier, lower intensity workout for me to do the day after legs. Love that ab work too. Not a super high calorie burner, but almost always hit 489 surprisingly enough. I think it must be those drills and the last combo with all the jump kicks.

It's a nice feeling having the workout done with for the day. I imagine the DOMS will start setting in by mid-day.

Belinda - good job with your workout!

Chris - hope your headache is gone today. Good job with your STS workout yesterday. This nice weather is supposed to last through the weekend even! Very happy about that. We've had soooo much rain that we really need some time to dry out. During our run yesterday around the neighborhood, we had to run on the street a lot b/c retainer walls were down all over from landslides. It was crazy.

Roxie - good job starting that rotation. I followed it for the weights and really liked it.

Nora - nice work as always!!

Hope everyone has a great day and great workouts

Good Morning,

I to was awake and should have got up but I didn't want to the bed was warm. Tonite is SB combos 1,2, and 3.

Debbie-let me know if I am doing to much cardio I am trying to follow the endo program.

Chris-I am trying to eat sensibly and I haven't gotten sick since Saturday.

Heather-good job with KPC I have the cardio conditioning planned this week and the abs.

Belinda-good job getting to the gym.

Hey Girls!

My kiddos are home from school today, day off for them.

It normally would have been a running day for me (and the weather here is perfect for it!), but instead I'm going to do BM2 Timesaver Cardio + Abs.

Great workouts so far guys!!! You got me eager to start mine, but I have to wait until one of my sons gets picked up at 10am...

Today was Cardio and I chose Amy's Rumble workout. Kind of fun, I enjoyed it, but my HR didn't get up past 132 bpm. The combo's were easy to follow and fun. The heavy bag portion was cool but combo 2 lasted forever. I ended up having to skip some of it because I was running out of time.

Note on Amy's outfit with the kickboxing part: What was she thinking? Not flattering at all!

HR STATS:
1 hr. 2 minutes total.
20 minutes below zone
43 minutes in zone
5 minutes above zone
451 calories burned

Was shocked to see 20 minutes below zone. But still got a good calorie burn. I think I'll like this more when I get my punching bag in my workout room.

Belinda - Nice job with CCV2! Love that one!

Heather - Nice job with KPC, I love that workout. I may do it on Thursday even!

Roxie - What do you mean too much cardio? Are you following the rotation as it's laid out?

Nora - Nice job with Kelly's workouts! I have the Kickboxing one in my Netflix Q. I have the Step Boxing one at home and can't wait to try it! I might do that one on Saturday!

Chris - Sorry about your sinus headache. Those just suck! But nice job with the Meso workout! Yay! No pushups!!!!

Need some suggestions from you guys I have been eating Dannon Fat Free yogurt but there are 110 cals in every container so I need a mid morning snack that is lower in cals. I also have a banana to go with it.

Debbie-I am doing the endo version where I do cardio instead of repeating the wt. work and then you suggested only doing 30-45 of minutes on the cardio days but not to exceed 4 to 5 days of cardio. I just want to make sure I am following it the right way so I will post every workout and you can tell me if its to much cardio.

Roxie - try Greek yogurt. The Fage no fat one is 90 calories and there is another brand that starts with an O that is 80 calories. They are a LOT lower in sugar, higher in protein, and will leave you satisfied a lot longer. I usually add some blueberries to mine and sprinkle with cinnamon. If you like sweeter, add in just a wee bit of honey, agave, or stevia.

Yep, that's the correct way to do it. Have fun!

Fage is the BEST! Oiko's sucks. I don't think it's "true" greek yogurt. It's way too thin. Greek yogurt is suppose to be very thick. I have Fage yogurt here today and I add in 1 tbsp honey and some blueberries. It's SO GOOD!

Debbie - so harsh LOL! I actually don't have a preference. I just buy the one that I can actually find. Some stores carry it and others don't. It's hit or miss. They tend to stock the flavored varieties for each brand, but not the no fat plain ones. I guess most people prefer the sweetness. I LOVE plain yogurt though. Grew up on it. So I like that much better. I'm probably not the norm though.

Roxie - do you like cottage cheese? I have found some low/no fat brands that run around 60 - 80 calories per serving. Top that with some blueberries too. Again, higher protein and lower sugar - just watch the sodium.

Hi girls,

What a busy day today. After the gym, I went to get a massage for my back (haven’t had one in a few weeks) I took the dogs for a walk, went to see an ENT (my ear is killing me). Had to skip the PT today, I did pick up the sheet with the new exercises for this week, will do the later

Heather, nice job getting up early and getting your workout in! I don’t get a high cal burn with KPC either, maybe I need to jump higher? LOL!

Rockie, have fun with SJP tonight!

Chris, have fun with BM2 timesaver later. Which one are you doing?

Debbie, glad you enjoyed Amy’s rumble, need to check that one out. Did you ordered Shock Cardio?

Hi to everyone that follows!

I will try to be back with more persoanls!

Belinda - Heck no, I didn't order shock cardio. I can't stand workouts like that. Give me a nice step workout or kickboxing, but not all the jumping BS. Too hard on me anymore. My knees hurt now as it is so I just can't see doing all that jumping. I am interested in the martial arts/kickboxing workouts, though. When those come available, I may buy the downloads.

Debbie, your post made me laugh! I don’t know why I ordered SC? I can’t do any of that jumping either! Maybe I will give them to my DD? I am more interested in the KB/travel workouts. :D

Good morning, ladies!

So good to see everyone on here today - Nora, we'll see you later!
Let's see, I just read all the posts and it seems like everyone is working hard! Great job, girls! I'm glad for those of you that are getting your runs in and enjoying some nice sunshine. Sorry for the headache Chris! And great suggestions with the greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Luckily for me, I LOVE both of those things!
Okay, on Sunday I did Disc 10 - should/ch/bi. Yesterday I did CTX All Step (cardio only) and 4DS Kickbox (cardio and abs). So today I need to get upstairs and do Disc 11. Almost done with the first Meso!! I'm glad you posted no pushups in my near future, Chris!!
Got to get moving!

Hey Girls,

Thanks for the sympathy on my headache. I swear, when the pain lifts, I feel SOOO good and SOOOO grateful, I feel like I could take on the world! It's so debilitating for me , I think mostly, because it doesn't go away. I even had this heat spread over one side of my face and my head WITH the pain. It was very weird. Belinda, I bet you had even worse sinus pain!!! I can't even imagine!

I'm another fan of Greek Yogurt. I used to eat the flavored Yoplaits and Weight Watchers. When I switched over to plain, fat free Greek (usually Chobani brand), I couldn't go back to the others. They seemed so watery and the sweetness in them made me gag. I add so many different things. Another GOOD addition is pumpkin puree, a little butterscotch Fat Free/Sugar Free pudding MIX, and pumpkin pie spice! Sometimes, when I feel evil, I will add dark chocolate chips and Cool Whip Free... *drool*. I also love Cottage Cheese and eat it every day.

Wendy: The second time around , I kind of expected all those push-ups, and they weren't as daunting. But I am very happy they are over. You're on your last week of MESO 1, huh? YOu go!!!

Belinda: I did BM2 Timesaver Cardio Premix. It was a few rounds of the completed steady state step from it, and then all 4 blasts at the end for 43 minutes. The blasts get ya good at the end!!! Reminded me of Hardcore Extreme from the other day!

Had a good day today. Took my youngest to the park, it was really nice out, though I was all kinds of green with envy as I saw people running IN MY PARK , when I couldn't. LOL!

Just finished SB 1,2 and 3

Stats:
41 min
25 in the zone
170 min hr
186 max hr
373 cals burned. Again I forgot some of the steps.

Chris-I have had that warm sensation happen to me once when I had a migraine, it felt like something exploded in my head and then the headache went away.

Hey girls!;)

I did day 1 of Cathe's November rotation eventhough its not been downloaded for rotations.

Here's today's workout:

Power Hour= 60 Min
Calories burned= 573
This was a really fun total body workout with weights and has abs too! Love that!! Once again just because its an older Cathe workout does not in any way mean its less effective of a workout. Cathe's workouts are timelessly effective and always fun and challenging and presented with great form and expert instruction. I love knowing that I can buy an older workout and still have Cathe's high standard being met.

Debbie- I've been tempted many times to get Amy Bento's Rumble but didn't know anyone that's tried it to ask. So, what did you think of it? From what I gather its more of a Kickboxing drill type workout. I agree Amy's workout outfit was not flatering at all. Great workout for you today as always!:)

Heather- Bravo, for you getting your workout in early and KPC no less! I hope you don't have any DOMS.

Roxie- SB does have alot of really cool mixes, have a great workout!;)

Chris- Nice workout choice BM2 Timesaver and Cardio and Weights, Phew! Girl, you rock those are tough workouts. Have a great day and enjoy your Kiddos being home today.

Belinda- Nice workout at the gym! I applaud your being careful to workout but to do it with not causing your back and problems. That;s great to apply what you've learned from your physical therapist, awesome job!;)

That's it for me today girls, have a great evening and I'll seeya at tomorrow's check in.;)

Hugs!:)

Nora
