Today I did iTread set 2, 60 min on the TC;) I burned 732 cal. I had no energy to round it up today:confused: I will do my back/core today.

Hi ladies. I was awake early again, but there was no getting up to exercise. I have no clue what I'm going to do today. I may go up to the gym and do some tempo drills or HIIT runs on the treadmill. Just not sure I want to do any step at all. I think I'll do legs tomorrow, which is supposed to be Disc 3.

Belinda - I am soooo embarrassed to admit that I had to drop down to 10 lb dumbbells for those preacher curls :eek: . It was mostly my left arm. I could have gone heavier with my right, but left was just dead for some reason. I did add on some extra reps at the end with my left arm. I need to even out the strength most definitely. My arms and chest are simply fried today!

Wendy - I would give anything for a weight room - especially doing STS chest work. I finally had to beg my DH to hand me the dumbbells and spot. I was spending soooo much of my energy and effort just trying to hoist the stupid weights into place. By the time I got myself ready, I couldn't even do the exercise!!! Though, I may be getting that room soon. No treadmill yet, but my sister is taking the twin beds I have in one of my spare rooms. So now I need to get a tv up there and move all of my random weights in the room and eventually get a bench and rack set up.
 
So I decided to try out P90X. Did the first workout this morning and I'm not sure I'm going to like it for a whole 12 weeks. We'll see. I changed some of the exercises because I just find doing 12 sets of pushups ridiculous. I also used bands for the pullups. Not sure I liked that either. Next time I'll add in at least one or two sets of real pullups.

First workout was Chest and Back. This is how it went:

Standard Pushups - 26 reps
Wide Front Band Pulls - Blue band/28 reps

Military Pushups - 15 reps
Reverse Grip Band Pulls - Blue band/20 reps

Dumbbell Flyes - 25's/20 reps
Close Grip Overhand Band Pulls - Red/Blue bands/20 reps

Decline Dumbbell Press - 30's/15 reps
Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 25's/15 reps

Incline Dumbbell Press - 25's/20 reps
Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 25#/18 reps each side

Dive-Bomber Pushups - 11 (I like these)
Back Flyes - 15's/20 reps

Did this all over again but reversed each exercise.

Wide Front Band Pulls - Blue/Red band/18 reps
Standard Pushups - 25 reps

Reverse Grip Band Pulls - Blue/Red band/22 reps
Military Pushups - 15 reps

Close Grip Overhand Band Pulls - Red/Blue bands/16 reps
Dumbbell Flyes - 25's/18 reps

Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 25's/12 reps
Decline Dumbbell Press - 30's/15 reps

Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 25#/16 reps each side
Incline Dumbbell Press - 30's/17 reps

Dive-Bomber Pushups - 12 (I like these)

So I felt nauseous about 3/4 into the workout. Not sure what that was all about because I didn't feel like I was working all that hard. Until I get use to a rotation, the first few aren't at my best. So I hope I'm not getting sick. I feel ok now, a little hungry, though.

Broke a sweat but that's about it. Hopefully I'll get more into this as it progresses.
 
Good Morning,

Tonite for me is 4ds premix back and bis and then the step from C&W. Got sick again last nite don't know what that was all about. Today we are expecting anywhere from 1-8 inches of snow just depends on whos forcast you look at, it was almost 70 degrees all last week.

Debbie-in the rotation you have back and bis scheduled twice this week because of the christmas holiday last year what should I do to change this up?

Belinda-good job with your workout.

Heather-its nice having a room where you can spread stuff out I use a spareroom we have the only bad thing is its across from our bedroom.

My legs are sooooooooo sore!

Heather, you don’t have to be embarrassed, 10 lb will get you a nice burn. Sometimes I have to drop to 10 lb especially with Cathe’s speed. She goes way to fast sometimes, lol! Have fun at the gym. What’s for dinner today? I will have a sweet potatoes with warm black beans. Yummy!

Belinda - I just don't know what it is with those preacher curls and me. But it's not a happy relationship!!! I have a recipe for black bean and sweet potato enchiladas that's yummy. Those 2 flavors are such a good combo!

Last night I made homemade ciabatta bread and we toasted that and had with butternut squash soup that DH made. YUMMY! I have no clue what dinner will be tonight. Thought the sweet potatoes are sounding good.

It feels so good to have DOMS! My chest is sore from my workout yesterday. I'll do disc 14 Legs today. I'll be pack to post if there's time before I leave for work.
Black beans and sweet potatoes? Really? I love both of those things...I don't think I've EVER had them together. Good, huh? Belinda and Heather, can you tell me a little more about your recipes with them?
Debbie, that's a lot of push ups! I'm guessing you'll get into the groove of the program before too long. And hopefully you're not getting sick!

This morning I did Disc 14 Legs. This has tri-sets and, oh my goodness, my legs were fried. Even just coming down the stairs after my shower my legs are talking to me already. My chest DOMS are already a distant memory!
I also did AbCircuits no equip abs. Had a great workout this morning.
I'm off to finish laundry and get some meals prepared for my work week.

It's Monday! Good and bad. Good, my working weekend is over (we were really busy last night, got SLAMMED with admissions, started off at 15 patients, and ended up with 23!). Bad, I'm in a "Monday ornery mood". I really have to try to chill a little. Things just annoy me more on mondays (after so little sleep, I think).

I started Week #3 of MESO 2, with Chest Triceps and Shoulders. She did the "wave" thing, which doesn't amuse me so much. All the adding/minusing tiny weight amounts with 1 minute break in between ALL of them. It just annoys me! (told ya!! LOL!). But I worked until failure on most exercises, so I'm thinking I'll feel it tomorrow.

Oh, my calf started really hurting last night at work. Another "annoyance". Geesh! I guess no step this week (bummer), I do think I will do Turbo Kick Round #32 tomorrow, since I never got to it on Saturday.

Debbie: I'll be interested in hearing about P90X, since I really want to do that next year some time! hope you're not getting sick!

Belinda: Good cardio today! Some days the stamina just isn't there, it's weird, huh?

Heather: Hope you got a good cardio in too!

Roxie: Are you feeling better today? Sounds like a good workout planned!

Wendy: Oh! Those trisets are crazy, aren't they? At least there's only 10 reps, that's the only thing that gets me through!

All this food talk, I really need to go shower and figure something out for supper. :eek:
 
Chris - It is most definitely a Monday for me too!! Work has been really hectic and I'm also in a crabby mood. I am going to force my butt to go to the gym and hopefully I can run off some of my aggression! I had to laugh about the wave thing. I just did that one for chest, triceps, shoulders and was really ticked by the time the whole thing was said and done. I kept saying (out loud of course) that this was the longest freaking workout EVER. I said a few choice words to Cathe too :eek: Just looking at the workout card is tiring.

Kudos to you for getting it done at least. Take care of that calf!

Great job on all your workouts today, remember to take it easy if you have DOMS, those are just not nice.

Drill Max-Timesaver Cardio Blast= 39 Min
Calories burned= 426

Wow! I always forget how tough Drill Max is and Love the calorie burn it delivers, its good stuff!

GS- Chest and Triceps= 48 Minutes
Calories burned= 373
this was tough! My triceps were so not wanting to do this today, but persevered.
