I had a great weekend. I hope you all did as well. Now back to the grind...:(

Last night I did CTX 10-10-10. It was fun. Not a fan of hi/lo, though. Got a good tricep workout. Tonight will be some form of cardio followed by back work.

I'm a little stressed about getting my workouts in this week. I have commitments for the next three nights. Mostly fun stuff, but trying to fit in workouts will be a challenge. I am determined to get them in, though, even if I have to work out at 9 pm. Cuz you know I ain't gettin' up early...:p
 
Today was STS Meso 1, Disc 4, Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. Had an exceptional workout. Really worked hard. I am happy to say that I did all the pushups in advanced mode except for the very last exercise (21's). I am already sore so this was one hell of a workout.

Drop Set Pushups - 14

Standing Upright Barbell Rows - 35#/15 reps
Alternating Standing Curls w/Twist - 20's/16 reps then 4 reps both arms

Seated Rear Flyes - 15's/15 reps
Bonus Band Pulls - Green band/15 reps
Incline Alternating Curls w/Twist - 17's/15 reps
Stability Ball Pushups - 8 reps w/thighs on ball; 8 reps w/shins on ball; 8 reps w/toes on ball
Functional Overhead Press/Front Raise - 7 reps (arm raise from left to right then 2 front raises = 1 rep)
Barbells Curls w/Band - 35#/15 reps
***These killed!
Prone Pushups on Stability Ball - 20 reps (4 reps 4cnt up, 4cnt down, then 16 singles)
Seated Lateral Raise/High Ends - 5's/6 reps
Seated Concentration Curls 1.5's - 17#/12 reps
Straddle Pushups - 18 reps
Side Leaning Lateral Raise - 6#/15 reps
***These were a struggle. Burned like crazy!
Alternating Seated Curls + Both Arms - 17's/16 alternating; 8 reps both arms
Chest Flyes - 22's/15 reps
Seated Overhead Press - 15's/15 reps
***These were a struggle too.
One Arm Preacher Curl - 17#/15 reps
***Did this with my preacher bench, could have gone heavier.
Core Pushups - Bootcamp style - 16 reps
Double Arm Barbell Seated Front Press 1.5's - 35#/12 reps
Reverse Dumbbell Curls - 15's/16 reps
Staggered Pushups - 16 reps
Bow & Arrow w/Band - Green Band/8 singles; 3 sets of 15 pulses
***Burned like a mother.
Double Arm Hammer Curls - 17's/15 reps
Pushups - 21's - 7 reps low end (did on toes); 7 reps high end (did on my knees); 7 reps full range (did on my knees)
***By this time I was just wiped out. Did the best I could.
Standing Barbell Front Press - 25#/21's
***These burned too. Last two reps were a struggle.
Barbell Curl Narrow Grip - 30#/21's

Very happy with this workout!
 
Hi ladies! This will be a quick post as I am in a little late to work today due to an appt first thing. GREAT weekend here too, wish it wasn't over! How sad!

I ended up doubling up my STS workouts since I didn't get my leg workout in on Friday so today was meso 1 disc 3 and disc 4. It actually was a great combination, even though I was totally pooped by the end of it! Glad I got it done though...and now totally tempted to do a short run tonight, its gorgeous today! Buh-bye mugginess!!

Debbie - thought of you this morning during those push-ups! Sadly, I did not fare as well, mine were mostly on the knees, I could do a few standard style but then my form suffers so I drop to my knees. I gotta work at it big time!! GREAT workout though huh??

Melissa - c'mon, give a morning workout a try, you never know, you might learn to love it??

Jessica - not sure I would love it more than getting an extra hour of sleep in the morning, though...:p And as for today's weather in MA...good hair-day!! Enough said...:D

Ha - seriously great hair day weather! I just chopped my hair shorter too, how are you liking your new cut btw?

I seriously think you should try the morning workouts for a week. You'd be amazed at how quickly your body adjusts, you just have to get used to going to bed a little earlier, that's all. ;) Like how I make it seem so easy?? But just think how much more time you'd have for yourself at night!

Due to the fact that I got a major league sunburn at the lake yesterday I didn't get up to do the Insanity fit test so tonite since its raining and I can't walk I will do the fit test and then CLX Burn Circuit 1.

Jessica-I am going to take your advice about the morning workouts I don't like to get up either.

Melissa-enjoy whatever workout you decide on. Great job with yesterdays workout.

I'm a big proponent of the AM workouts - sometimes it SUCKS (mostly in the winter when its darrrrrk and collllld) but if you start off in the summer with the morning workouts, come winter-time, your body will adjust and you'll be used to it so it won't be nearly as painful as if you tried to switch to AM workouts in the winter. Just sayin' ;)

You do make a very convincing case. I'm thinking of how much extra time I'd have at night to shop... Might not be a good thing, though, I did plenty of damage yesterday!!!!

Ok so I have had the longer in front/shorter in back look for awhile now but it was starting to grow out and was almost a one-length bob which I was getting bored with. So I went a lot shorter in the back and in the front too (though front is still longer) and I think it looks pretty cute?? Not gonna lie, I had a panic moment yesterday when I did it on my own for the first time but today went better and I'm liking it more now!

Wow Melissa, I'm impressed! I hardly had to push you at all to try the AM workout - love it!! You can scream at me tomorrow when you're tired - but I promise you'll be happy tomorrow night when you're out and not stressed about fitting in a workout at 9pm ;)
 
Hey Everyone

Although I thought about it, I didn't feel like a run today. Instead I did , for the first time, from The Terminator: The Gauntlet!!!! . It definitely got me over my dread of IMAX2. It's a combination of an IM2 interval + blast, and then a C&W combo weights move, and then a Bootcamp Weights move, and then a BC cardio! 7 times! 80 Minutes! So , that's my only workout of the week. a good one, huh? Calorie burn over 650 calories!!!

That was my last formal workout of the week. Tomorrow very early morning (we have to BE THERE at 5:15am) I leave for Washington DC with my son's 8th grade class for 4 days, 3 nights. On a bus. :eek: I'm helping chaperone. I'm anxiously excited. Such mixed emotions. One thing that makes me a bit nervous is managing my son's diabetes (he has Type 1 in case you didn't know. since he was 9). . that's the reason I'm going.

I'm taking today as a rest day. I should take the rest of the week off as a rest week inbetween workout rotations. But I probably will workout this week just not a rotation though as I'm anxiously awaiting Turbo Fire's release!
I finished Insanity yesterday!!! Whoo Hooo! Great stuff, love it. I did check in yesterday and I know that most of you weren't there so probably didn't see my post so I'll copy and paste it below. I'll be back later for personals.

Here's today's workout:

Insanity- Fit Test= 30 min
Calories burned= 451
I'm done with Insanity!!!! I finished my fit test and completed it as of today!!! I did it

Pyramid Upperbody- Pyramid Up only(Includes abs)= 40 min
Calories burned= 328
Great workout but there is something about pyramid for me even when I do the weights cathe does or slightly heavier it definitely hurts and I can feel the DOM's that are coming. I didn't mean hurt in a bad way just the usual cathe way. LOL!!

Total calories burned= 779

Lunge with Posterior Fly-5lbs 12 reps both legs
Push-up with Leg Lift-10 on my toes.
Dead Lift with Posterior Fly-5lbs 12 reps
Lunge with Core Rotation-10lbs 12 reps both sides
Bench Press with Leg Lower-8lbs 12 reps
Squat with Side Bend-10lbs 12 reps
Fwd-Lean Lunge with Posterior Fly-5lbs 6 reps per leg 12 Flys
Chest Press with Hip Lift-8lbs 12 reps.

160 cals burned.

Some exercises I will go heavier on next time I haven't done these in a year couldn't remember what some of them were.

Hi ladies. Sorry for being MIA. I'm still getting in my workouts. Shocker right :eek:

Sunday DH and I ran on the beach (barefoot, ouch). It was so worth it though. Today I ran on the treadmill for 30 mins then did MMA Kickbox and abs. Of course, after that, I proceeded to sit on the beach from 11 - 5!

I truly hope everyone is doing well and completely apologize for being MIA and out of the loop.
