Crazy strong and loving it for March 18, 2010

I am done with my workout! I did CCV5 on the TM:p I ran 4.5 miles, according to the TM I only burned 512 cal:confused: Too bad, I left my HR at home, relized it by the time I was in the gym:confused::( BBL!

Today was Meso 2, Disc 15, Back and Biceps. Again, went fairly light due to my two weeks off. I think I should have gone a little lighter. Bicep work was really hard. Seems my biceps are the only muscle that loses strength quickly. Not sure why. Had a good workout, though.

Warmup:
Lat pulldowns with band - 12 reps/green band
T-Pull with band - 12 reps/green band
Y's with band - 12 reps/green band

Workout:
BACK
Band Pulldowns - 12 reps (all three bands)
Band Pulldowns - 12 reps (all three bands)
Band Pulldowns - 12 reps (all three bands)

One Arm Row - 30#/12
One Arm Row - 30#/10
One Arm Row - 30#/8
One Arm Row - 30#/12 (to failure)

Barbell Rows - 55#/12

BICEPS
Barbell Curl - 55#/12
Barbell Curl - 50#/10
Barbell Curl - 50#/8
Barbell Curl - 50#/7 (to failure)
***Should have gone lighter. I'm bummed about how much strength I've lost with bicep curls. This was really hard for me.

Seated Alternating Curl - 15's/12
Seated Alternating Curl - 15's/10
Seated Alternating Curl - 15's/9

Double Arm Dumbbell Preacher Curl - 17's/9
Double Arm Dumbbell Preacher Curl - 15's/10
Double Arm Dumbbell Preacher Curl - 15's/8 (to failure)
***This was hard and I don't care for this exercise using the stability ball, it really hurts my elbows.

Hey girls!

Roxie: Wondering if you're feeling Turbo Sculpt today? I know when I do something different like that, I usually get some good DOMS.

Nora: Great workout yesterday! Funny how GS Legs gave me NO DOMS last time I did it! But it is tough!!!... I guess not being able to do some of the MMA work makes me want to work on it more too. I do enjoy the "smashing" and "pounding" and "strikes" though.

Belinda: Oh I'm SURE you burned more than that with a CC workouts!!!!

Debbie: Your "light" weights still blow me out of the water! How are you like being back in it this week? still missing the rest or enjoying the workouts?

Looking forward to hearing what trouble you're up to Heather and Jessica. Miss ya Wendy! Check in when you can!

It is soooo nice out again today. We're supposed to maybe hit 70 today!!! And for the rest of the week too. I HAVE to run. So I'm trying to plan something out. I'm going to do SOME of 40/20 and then S&H Chest at home, and then hit the park for a run! The extra cardio wouldn't hurt. I'm once again embarassed to admit (and pissed at myself too) to eating crappy last night. I would have been fine, but Jake INSISTED he needed to make a Leprechan Trap (I thought he had forgotten), so Greg went out and got a bag of Hershey Kisses for the Leprechan "droppings". guess who ate the rest of the "droppings"??

Good Morning,

Tonite for me is either KCMs KB or 4ds KB cardio only. I posted this last night but it was late so here it is again. I didn't get the same cal burn with Turbo Sculpt that I got last time but I used heavier wts does that make a difference?

Chris-no DOMs today.

Belinda-good workout and I am sure you burned more.

Debbie-I wished my light wts were like yours those are still way heavy for me.

Hi ladies. I did not get up to get in my workout this morning. I was just way too sleepy. I turned off the alarm and immediately went back to sleep (something I usually can't do). I am undecided about what I'll be doing. I had planned on getting up and doing SB + SJP abs. I may end up taking today off and doing that tomorrow instead. We're supposed to hit 65 today then 70 tomorrow. I got my new running and cross-trainers in though and am dying to test them out. So, maybe a lunch run? I would love to do that tomorrow but have a co-workers bday lunch instead drats.

Belinda - still impressed with that calorie burn!

Roxie - yes, heavier weights will make the diff.

Debbie - lighter weights?? Holy cow on the preacher curls. I HATE those. Good job!!

Chris - hope you enjoy your run. I hear ya on the eats. I do really well or really bad. No in between for me!

Nora - great workout yesterday.

Hi Wendy and Jessica!!

Hi ladies! Wow what a welcome :)

Well, today was big for me. I taught the entire Kick class by myself. First time ever. And I think it went pretty darn well, though I was dying by track 7 which made the last two working tracks before conditioning quite the challenge. Can you say sucking wind?? But I'm getting there and that's all that matters! Woo!

Heather - I agree with you on wanting to get out and enjoy the weather today, its gorgeous up here in Boston!! Since it's SO nice out, I am definitely going for a run tonight, its just a sin not to after all the rain and wind we've had around here!

Belinda - agree, that is still a great calorie burn, and god knows you prob burned more

Debbie - what are you talking about, lighter?? those were amazing numbers, how can you be bummed about that. wow, I have work to do to catch up ;)

Chris - hope you enjoy your run too!!!!

Good morning, girls!
Yesterday was a rest day again. It was another one of those days where I leave the house at 830a - bible study, Costco, change in the parking lot, go to work, come home at 8p! Ugh. But I slept well last night again and I think this second rest day really did me good.
I'm planning on doing B&G today. All of it, I think (thanks for the inspiration Jessica!).
It is going to be a gorgeous day here, too. So a motorcycle ride is definitely in order - can't wait!
Too funny on the "droppings", Chris. They go down so smoothly 'cause they're just so small! A few more can't hurt, right?!?!??! That gets me into trouble, too.
Nice job at the gym, Belinda. I just can't believe how much you've been able to accomplish the last couple of months! Are you done with STS? You've got to be close..?
Chris and Heather - it's funny when the weather is nice for you, you guys think RUN! I guess it's obvious I don't know what a runner's high is , huh? Have fun outside!
Roxie - enjoy your workout tonight! Are you feeling better now?
Debbie - I hope you enjoy your new rotation. And go get your bike from your mom's!!!
Jessica - great job on teaching your class. Sounds hard! Enjoy the sunshine today if you get out.
Nora - look at us - sunshine!! Enjoy your day whatever you do!
See ya!

Hey Jessica -

Where do you teach class in Boston? Do you teach on weekends? I don't know if it would be possible, but I'll be there over a weekend next month and it would be fun to try to do a class with you!

I just sent you a private message! Would love to meet up!!

I opted for a lunchtime run and am so glad I did. First off, it's sunny and 60, second I had to try out my new running shoes, and third I got to spend some time with DH and break up the day. It was really a great run, so much better than the other day! I knew I wouldn't be able to get a run in tomorrow and I'm kind of getting burnt out on my step DVDs so.... Tomorrow will be my rest day. I do need to do abs still so I'll do those when I get home.

Wendy - I get excited about running outside not for the runner's high (which I have never achieved) but b/c it's something outside in the sunshine and not a step workout in my teeny living room! I would love to call myself a runner and say that I enjoy it, but I think I enjoy (probably not exactly the right word choice LOL) it simply b/c it's a a change. I usually run with DH too so that's always nice.

Its suppose to be 60 degrees here today and then tomarrow night we are expecting 2-4 inches on snow and I was wrong about the DOMS my calves are killing me.

Checking in -

B&G done! Man, I was cramping up today on the floorwork. After doing one side, then switching to the other on the outer thigh lifts - ACK!!! I couldn't even lift that leg! I managed to complete it - maybe just a rep or two behind Cathe and the others.
Heather, yeah, that's about how I feel. I enjoy it because it's exercise. But running outside in public - I still have a lot of things that shake around!! (Note to self: get a back row step during the RT!!)
Those DOMS sneak up sometimes, don't they, Roxie?
Okay, I'm outta here ---vroom vroom!

Wendy you crack me up. I've seen some jiggle out there and I seriously doubt you have anything to worry about. I'm totally with you on the B&G floor. I always pause and stretch before the other side. Sorry, just can't hang on that one. Have fun on your ride!

Good Evening,

Tonite I did KCMs KB.

Stats:
30 min
27 in the zone
143 min hr
172 max hr
205 cals burned. Forgot my wtd. gloves.

Hi girls:D

I'll try to be brief with my comments since I'm running late for check in today.

Here's Today's workout:

STS Cardio: Athletic Step= 47minutes
Calories burned= 426
This is only my 2nd or 3rd time doing this workout and I still have problems with the skip across and the core crunch quarter turn opposite direction. I always feel like I'm going to sprain my ankles because I can't get my legs to start to move fast enough to do it, so I tend to almost trip and twist my ankles on that one. I really like and know the choreography since its stuff pulled from many of the prior recent ones but for some reason the way they are put together in this one just makes my ankles ache. Ironically, my knees seemed to twinge a bit with pain because of that too. Its funny, I decide not to run today to give myself a break and my knees and ankles protest step, go figure!:p

Core Max-Segment#2 Stability Ball Abs=21 Min
Calories burned=143

Total calories burned from today's workout= 569;)
Not great calorie burn today for me but its ok.

Belinda- WOW! Awesome job on CCV5 on the TM!!!:) Great Job and excellent workout effort today A+++;)

Debbie- Once again amazing workout for you today. Girl, I can't even lift what you do on a light day for my heaviest. You rock!

Chris- I hope you had a great run to enjoy in your awesome weather and had fun with your 40/20 HiiT and S&H Chest. Sounds like an excellent workout is on tap for you today! Rock on!;) No Doms for me from yesterday's GS Legs. My legs are really strong and can take a lot.

Roxie- Nice choice of either KCMs KB or 4ds KB cardio only workout to choose from. I really love Kickbox and enjoy both of these workouts alot. Have a great workout! I hope your feeling much better!;)

Heather- Its nice to take a day off. No worries, you'll probably feel super charged in your workout for tomorrow. Enjoy your rest and have a great nights sleep. ;)

jsutera- I totally love kickbox and its been a fave of mine since the 80's and Tae bo came out. I didn't know you taught a kick box class, that's so cool, good for you. I love Kickbox and think it rocks. I love Cathe's step too, but Kickbox is near and dear to my heart. It sounds like your a great instructor and really challenge your students and yourself with your great workouts, congrats!:)

Wendy- Hi! Yes, sunshine its a miracle. I have to be sure to wear my Sunglasses outside for fear I'll burn and turn into a pile of ash like a vampire. Yep, you could say I'm super glow in the dark white, before Edward Cullen made it cool. :p The only thing though is I don't sparkle in the sun, I totally got gipped on that part.(A little Twilight Humor there):p LOL!! Enjoy the sunshine Wendy. Congrats on B&G that's a super tough one! Bravo! I do love B&G it has some great premixes too, its a keeper.;) Nice job Wendy!

Ok, ladies that's it for me tonight. I'll see ya at tomorrow's check in have a great night girls;):)

Hugs!

Nora
