CRAZY STRONG AND LOVING IT FOR JULY 7, 2010

Happy Hump Day,

I will do M1 D11 (Back & Biceps), plus do some abs today. Never got my ab wo in yesterday. I was to tired:confused:

I am quite sore from yesterday's workout. Chest, Tri's and Shoulders are really feeling it today! :eek:

Today was Meso 2, Week 1, Disc 14, Legs. This is a triset routine and I love it. It is fun and goes by extremely fast. Had a great workout:

Triset #1:
Wide Stance Squats - 30's/10 reps
One-Leg Elevated Lunges (BSS) - 20#/10 reps
Wide Stance Deadlifts - 25's/10 reps
***One minute rest then repeated two more times.

Triset #2:
Static Lunges - 15's/10 reps
Plie Squats Alternating Hand - 35#/10 reps
One-Leg Slide Back Lunges - 12's/10 reps
***One minute rest then repeated two more times.

Triset #3:
Stiff Leg Deadlifts - 25's/10 reps
Side Slide Lunges - 15#/10 reps
Narrow Stance Squats - 30's/10 reps
***One minute rest then repeated two more times.

Calf Raises - 15's
***Just did my own thing, I don't like doing them one leg at a time.
 
Hi ladies! trying to make a comeback from a long weekend of eating and lots of wine ;-) Did some runs in Maine though, which were pretty good, but today I did a double - Power and Ride back to back, drenchfest for sure, but it felt great. Doing Power this week instead of STS, and it's such a hugely different workout. Still love STS, but this is a good switchup for a week or so.

Belinda - nicely done on Meso 1 - that cycle kills me for the pushups alone!
Debbie - LOVE those trisets, the best, and so killer.
 
This morning I got up and ran and added hill repeats (total 31 mins). I will probably do the 3 combos from KPC after work and stretch. Last night I did the yoga-based abs from Abs Circuit. I enjoy the calm of that one, but it doesn't feel like a great ab workout...

Belinda - I'm sure you rocked your workout as always!

Debbie - nicely done - love it when leg workouts go fast :D

Jo - woohoo on the double drenchfest! I don't know how you and Jessica have the energy to do that in the morning.

Nora - glad to hear you're enjoying the new workouts. That's always fun.

Roxie - good job on your step workout. I haven't done step in a while...

Ha - ditto what my sister said. I did the same combo - Power and then Ride. It was like a sauna in each of the rooms though which made for an extra sweat-fest, not that I'm complaining ;-)

I will say, though, that I was somewhat disappointed in Power this morning, STS leaves me much more spent, at least this last go-round did. I've got one more week of M2 to do next week and then may do Power for a full week (AFTER my week off where I'll call it a cardio-only week) and then may hop back into a full-on STS rotation (that is, AFTER the Cathe Road Trip so as not to interrupt the schedule, ha!). Not sure yet, but that's sorta where I'm heading. Hmmmmmm.

Anyway - Belinda and Debbie, nicely done on STS today! It's still the best weight workout around in my mind :)

Enjoy the day ladies, I wish I was at the beach today, personally. ;)
 
Hey Girls!

Had a great day outside yesterday, in and out of the pool. DH got me a raft last night, so today should be even nicer! :) The only thing missing is a nice pool boy to bring me drinks! ;)

I'm changing up today's Turbo Fire scheduled workout. Instead of CORE 20 and STRETCH 40 (mostly yoga), I'm going to do Butts & Guts , Standing Legs only and THEN CORE 20 from TF, and end with STS stretching.

Belinda: Oh!, it's INDOOR biking you don't like. I agree, it's so boring! I love riding my bike outside though. Even though I haven't this year yet :confused: So many things, so little time!. Good job on STS Back and Biceps today!!

Debbie: LOVE the leg trisets in M2! Nice job today!

Heather: So what was the temperature outside for your run today? You nut, you! And you think you are NOT a runner! *I* think you are! :p Have fun with KPC tonight!

Jo: You're right, I've never heard of Acton ME! LOL!. Maine is so nice though. So many beautiful places there, and NH AND VT as well!.

Jessica: Sounds like you and your sis had a great workout today! It's good to change things up.

Funny - I sorta feel the same about that ab workout, it's good but I don't usually feel like my abs are totally worn out by the end like some of the others in that mix. Oh well, still a good one to throw in now and then, right?

At least you did your abs, I haven't yet and I know Roxie will get mad at me ;)

Tonite for me is CLX Push Phase 2. DH comes home tonite so I won't do any extra cardio, he leaves again at 12n tomarrow.

Jo & Jess-good job with your workouts wish my sister lived close enough to workout with. Jess get those abs done.

Chris-sounds like a nice relaxing day yesterday. Enjoy your workout.
 
Chris - it was 77 when I headed out at 5:40. It's the humidity that really sucks though. I was soaked. Yay on getting the raft. You'll love this, we have a floating cooler for our pool that has 6 cupholder spots too :eek:

Jessica - glad I'm not alone with that ab workout. I almost feel like I should do abs again today. Hmmm, maybe some standing ab work?

Oh geez, if you do abs AGAIN, I'll be way too embarrassed to post here again until I do my abs just ONCE in a day ;-)

Heather-that is the way I felt after doing power hour abs last night.
 
I just finished AB Circuit " Stability ball abs" 20 min, plus SC HiiT 40/20 and STS D11:p I am fried. I will be back after I dinner.

I hope everyone is having a great over the hump day.:) I'll just check in since I just finished my workouts for today. Its been 100 degrees here today, ugh! Thank goodness for air conditioning!!!

Here's today's workout:

STS-Disc2 M1 W1- Back & Triceps= 56 Min
Calories burned= 459 approx.
Today's STS workout with back and tri's went better than disc 1 chest, shoulder's and bi's yesterday. I was dreading doing the back one and deadlifts but it seemed fine today. I have to wonder if its just me focusing better on cathe's form or what. Oh well, I manage to lift 20lb dumbells each hand on deadlifts, last week I did deadlifts my lower back was a mess for several days. I can't remember the last time I did deadlifts and could do them without during or after the exercise. Must be the magic of STS;)

STS-Ab Circuits- Medicine Ball Abs= 10 Min
Calories burned= 61
These are among my favorite abs section using the weighted medicine ball. Love these!

Total calories burned= 520 ok, not the numbers I'd like to see but hey I did weights so that's ok.

Belinda- I hear ya on M1 STS back and bi's being hard and tiring. No worries there, I'm in the same boat right there with ya and I just started STS round again. Bravo on your workout today and for doing abs, that's the way to rock your workout!!:eek::cool:

Debbie- You are my hero, I want to be just like you and beable to lift like you do when I grow up! Bravo!!!!:eek: I know this wasn't especially heavy weights for you at all but for me they would be great! WTG!!:cool:

Jolene- Awesome job mixing up your workouts with Power ride and STS. Its nice to have the change of pace and intensity or just simply different faces. I see you mentined getting a run in too. You're a star, excellent work keep it up.

Heather- You always amaze me with the running just as Chris does. My knees are semi shot so I try to prevent injuries and go slightly lower impact on some moves. I agree about yoga abs its not a killer ab workout but does feel good. Gees, and KPC rounds too, you are so killing me with the workouts, WTG!!!:)

Jessica- Congrats on the same killer workout as your sis. It is definite a killer workout from the sounds of it. You know I'm in workout envy right now, congrats and hugs for you kick butt workout!!

Chris- Ooh nice you got a pool to enjoy, you realize we're all coming to your house for a pool party, right? LOL!! What no pool boy's to serve drinks' what's with that? I thought you should be able to get those in the pools accessories aisles, man they'd sell more pools if they did. LOL!! I like the way your changing up Turbo Fire for Butts & Guts , Standing Legs only and THEN CORE 20 from TF, and end with STS stretching. I did something similar with
Butts & Guts leg blast premix. I realized I could do leg blast one time then next do floor only or something like that. Or just do Legs and Glutes floor work only premix that's only 11 min when I'm short on time or energy. I feel like doing more leg work in summer. Awesome job on your own TF B & G tweak. I love it!!!

Roxie- Great job on the workouts and getting those done. :) I hope the situation with the roof leaking has been resolved. Enjoy this evening with your hubby.

Belinda- take it easy girlfriend, you crazy workout maniac no wonder you fit in so nicely around here. LOL!! I know like I should talk, right? LOL:p
