Today was STS Disc #12 - Legs. Ouch. I am still in pain. I didn't have time to do the abs I was supposed to do today. Seems I am in a pattern - not getting up early enough to do everything on the schedule rotation. Grr....

TGIF!!! I know it was a short work week with playing hooky this week - but Friday never comes soon enough!

Roxie - Good call on throwing out the diet pills.
 
Yesterday I ended up doing GS legs after all (thanks to Debbie & Roxie). I left work with gym bag in hand and figured "why the heck not" so I went up to the gym to run. I figured it pep me up and put me in better spirits. We've had a ton of rain here this week and it's just getting depressing. Anyway, run worked very well, I was a much happier camper by the time I left.

During lunch I had set up everything for GS legs, so when I got home, it was all there staring me, mocking me really. It was either take 15 mins to put everything away or just suck it up and stop being a baby. Roxie/Debbie, you guys were right. Time really did fly by. I was surprised. I have had that DVD but not done it yet. My hiney and hams are hurtin' this morning. :eek:

I am not sure I got my out legs very much though. I had some technical difficulties with my band - it's too short. So I don't think the band work was as effective. Maybe I should have switched to ankle weights instead. Need to go find a 6' band.

Karen/Belinda - great job with STS this morning! And Karen, how is it that short weeks sometimes feel the longest????

Good Morning,

I ended up babysitting last nite so no workout was done, that makes it 2 days in a row time to stop that and get back to it. Tonite is suppose to be bootcamp but I am going to do Body Fusion instead and then do the SM I was suppose to do last nite. I could end up babysitting more often so I am seriously going to have to change to working out in the mornings since I don't know when it will happen.
 
Heather - Speaking of bands - I broke mine the other morning. (it was kind of old anyway - just an excuse to get a new one :)) I still have the hard tension one - but sometimes that is just too much resistance! Great work with GS Legs yesterday! I never did get my 20minute run in that was on the rotation yesterday...ah well...
 
Ok, started STS today. Did Meso 1, Disc 1 - Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. Non-stop workout. 15 reps with most exercises. Did two different bicep curls doing 21's. Did narrow grip and wide grip. Really felt those. Time flew by.

These were the exercises. Not sure if posting the weights even matters. I had to lower on a lot of them. These exercises are very deceiving. They catch up to you quick. And she does a huge amount of pushups. I'm not too fond of that, but I did them.

1.5's means doing one full range of motion and then a partial rep. These killed.

Debbie - Way to go! The fun has just started :eek: I kind of wish I'd thought to have taken photos and measurements before starting. My DH was the one who suggested photos, but didn't think of that until the end of Meso 2. I at least have end of Meso 2 and 3 to compare I suppose. I'll remember for the next round though.

You are always encouraging me so here goes I bet you will see amazing results with this program and I already believe you look amazing I've seen your abs and I would kill for those.
 
I chose body fusion thinking it would be and easy workout forgot how tough it was then only did 7 min of stability ball abs just not feeling my workouts this week.

Wow, Debbie welcome to STS, I know what you mean Cathe was a bit pushup obsessed in the beginning with Meso cycle 1. I remember thinking I wanted to try to go heavier but I thought I'd better not go heavier than my 1 rep max and I was glad I followed that. All those reps really make you work those muscles and feel every fiber of them. Its good stuff! I love STS, it rocks and I had a strength gain of 5% to 10% when I completed STS. Its a fave of mine now. I also love the STS Ab Circuits, they are really great lots of variety and different lengths of time too. I think Cathe out did herself on STS, I can hardly wait for Shock Cardio to come out, I pre-ordered.:eek::)

Here's today's workout:

Butts and Guts= 78 Minutes. I didn't realize I was only supposed to do a premix (overall legs) LOL!! I did the entire 78 minutes. Oh well, I'm sure I needed it.
Calories burned= 745

Great workout today, and I'm sort of sad to say that tomorrow's Step Blast workout is the last of Debbie's June rotation Get Ready for Summer. I really loved this rotation and loved the way Debbie has it mixed up with cardio, circuits, and weight work, awesome stuff!!! Thanks Debbie, as always you rock, girl!;)
