Crazy Strong and Loving It for Jan 6, 2010

Today was Workout 2 of my full body plan. Each exercise was 3 sets/8 reps with a 1 min. 30 sec. rest period. Had a great workout.

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Military Press - 20's
***Could have gone heavier but then I think my form would have been off.

QUADS
Leg Press Station - 155#
***Love this exercise. I've missed it.

CHEST
Incline Dumbbell Press - 35's
***These felt awesome. Could feel the contraction in my upper chest. It's been a long time since I've felt that.

BACK
Chinups - 8/5/5
***These were sad but all unassisted.

BICEPS
Barbell Preacher Curl - 55#
***These were tough, last set brought me to almost failure with the last rep.

TRICEPS
Lying Barbell Extensions - 55#
***These were tough too, last set was a challenge.

Hi ladies. Today I am scheduled for the same workout as Debbie (though my weights will not likely be quite the same LOL). Oh, and my chinups will be assisted!! I'm gonna get those one of these days though I swear I will.

It's another cold start here - 22 degrees. By the end of the week it's supposed to be in single digits at night. BRRRR. I am sooooo not a fan of cold weather.

Good Morning,

Tonite is Jillian Michaels NMTZs (No More Trouble Zones), as you can see the getting up early isn't happening but DH is home sleeping every morning and my workout room is across the hall.

Belinda-you tickle me you say you are going to do D1 and you do D2.

Debbie-awesome workout.

Heather-its cold here and its starting to snow they say 5-7 inches.
 
I seriously need some motivation! I should do a cardio today, but none come to mind that I WANT to do. Ugh.

Belinda: How are the STS weights going? Did you do back today? felt ok?

Debbie: Impressive workout! Great job!

Roxie: Mornings are not my time to work out either... I very RARELY roll out of bed and work out (but I have my days usually free, so it works out ok). Did you like Jillians workout last night? I saw you got it done!

Heather: I'm tired of the weather here too. it's just been cold, which is pretty typical for New England in January, but I'm tired of having goosebumps! And then I'll drink tea to warm up, and pee all night and day. :confused: Have fun with the weights today. Do you do it at home or at the gym?

Hopefully I'll find some workout to motivate me...
 
Roxie - I kind of wish we'd get some snow (especially if it got me out of work). I mean, if it's going to be THIS cold here, give me something out of it! LOL. I was up at 5 am and still didn't workout. So don't feel bad. Some people just aren't morning exercisers.

Chris - I did the first day at home on Sunday, but will likely do today's at the gym so I can do the chinups. I'll try to use the gym as much as possible b/c I really don't have a full set up at home. My heaviest weights are 35 # DBs. I really need to get a BB set and rack now that I have a room to put it all in. I totally understand about the motivation thing. Maybe you can do one of the easier MMAs then tack on a HiiT workout? Though I know you mentioned yesterday not wanting to overdo this and get burnt out on them so soon!
 
Can anyone explain to me why all of a sudden I am craving and eating anything sweet TTOM doesn't start for another 2 weeks?

Maybe you ate something that triggered the reaction? Have you eaten more bad carbs then you usually do? Sometimes that triggers cravings. Or maybe you're not eating enough during the day?

Debbie-I know I am not eating enough during the day because I am usually busy at snack time and by then it is either time to go to lunch or time to go home and fix supper. As for the carbs I guess I just need to start posting my meals again so you guys can help me out.

Ugh, as the day wears on, my motivation to hit the gym/weights is waning big time! I think I can I think I can....:confused:

I have been drinking alot of diet soda lately, I said I would give it up or cut down on it as a resolution but it has only increased and I just read somewhere that this makes you crave sweets more. DD and her DH are coming over tonite to play wii fix us supper and play pool so much for my workout this is why I need to get it done in the mornings.
 
Oh I hear ya on getting it done in the morning. If I could come into work later it'd be so much easier, or if I could take a long lunch all the time and just stay a little later. Just feel guilty doing that and also a bit rushed.

You need to hit the gym tonite, if you will do that I will only drink 1 pop tomarrow. I don't have to be to work until 9 but I still need time to get ready and I only get 30 mins for lunch guess I could walk around the mall.
 
Roxie - I made it! I'll post workout tomorrow. So you now have to only have one soda tomorrow!!! I'd say walking around the mall/shopping counts as cardio!

Seriously this ab work is killer and man do I get doms the next day, its a keeper!

Total calories burned in today's workout= 524
